We got German owners in the summer and they've tried to start the name announcing thing, I think they are still persisting (I don't get in the ground early enough to hear it). Currently it's met with bemused silence which is probably for the best.

Didn't help that the first time they did it was against Rochdale where our sub keeper Rouven Sattelmaier was the first name read out. Would have been good to see the fuckwits at the back of the Kop squinting at the screen when the guy shouted 'Rouven' and trying to pronounce his last name.

One side of our ground never gets any sun unless it's mid-summer. It's always been the same. Some of our lot on Twitter seem to have taken the postponement really badly, it's quite odd!

You haven't looked at the Premier League table lately, or Palace's league form over the last year.
I bet if Charlton's and Palace's league positions were swapped and Charlton had someone other than the Belgians running the club, the amount of crowd noise on match day would similarly be swapped too.

Well Orient was off, Dagenham was off, Charlton was off... All S.E. England clubs, it's not like Southend were unique in having a postponement.

January 2013 was the last time a game was postponed at Roots Hall... Me thinks Uncle Ron maybe didn't like the groundsman!
