Where are you all? Are football forums just dying or are we waiting for the second half of the season to get going? There doesn't even seem to be much match talk before or after a match bar a few posters.

Maybe I should start a forum game?...

Personally I tend not to post too often unless I am going/have been to the game. and I have been to far fewer this year. However, this league forum does sometimes feel a bit quieter that the league two last year. The upside is that there are fewer WUMs too.

Plus I cannot escape the point that Argo have been dire at points.

I don't come on here as often, the main reason, is being asked to turn off my ad blocker, every time I'm on here.

I hear your pain. Something only admin can control. Maybe if enough people say they won't use this site as much because of the extreme amount of adverts then they could reconsider the amount of adverts they use in the future.

Would be even quieter if we didn't have Wigan and Blackburn fans banging on about how far they are going to win the League by :fish:

How about starting a thread amongst us also rans e.g Which one of us will be relegated by Easter (or something similar)

I think forums as a whole are quieter these days as a lot of previously active posters now just use Twitter and preach to their echo chambers rather than have a debate on a platform like this.

Ive never understood it using FB or twitter for constant football chat. I mean unless you want to troll a lot of stupid people. Maybe that's why its quiet here because all the controversial people are there?

Yeah pretty much! I used to be a big Twitter user, but to be honest I just got fed up seeing a load of bollocks every day and getting wound up over it. I've gone from following 800+ to following about 90 now, and it's so much better. I still use it if I'm not at a game - I've got our local reporter on there who gives a pretty balanced view of most games and I don't feel I'm missing out too much really by not having the, as you put it, trolls. It's changing again though, as those who migrated to Twitter to air their views are now producing Youtube videos to try and become the next Arsenal Fan TV - I think we must have about 5 or 6 of these 'channels' set up just for Gills already, and I know we aren't the only club!

Spot on. And, whilst mostly I'm signed in so don't notice it, the amount of ads on this site for non-members is frankly ridiculous. It's virtually unusable.

No wonder that in the 3 years the forum's been running we've barely had a handful of new regular posters who weren't here in the TFF days. I'd have given up in about 10 seconds.
