Mostly the Brummies' fault that the fixtures have all gone to pot - and to think they didn't even get a Pizza Cup to show for it all. Ha.

Anyway, as usual a bunch of crunch fixtures.

Gas v Reading - the Gas desperate to stay up, Reading desperate to make the playoffs - must-win for both.

Lorient v us - LOFC need to win to have even the faintest chance of the playoffs, we need to win to have even the faintest chance of getting 2nd place back. Plus we have a dicking at the hands of Charlton to atone for.

Burton v Cambridge - Burton have a great chance of staying up if they can even get a point here, whereas only a win will do to keep Cambridge's dying hopes of survival alive.

Wxm v Charlton - Wrexham buoyed by recovering 2nd place and our GD having gone to shite. Charlton meanwhile have a faint chance of 2nd themselves (although not by the end of the day) if they can win their last two and leapfrog us and Wxm.

Dying hopes of survival or the survival of dying hope. Not sure, but it would be very us to beat Burton and then get relegated when they ease past a beachy Wigan in midweek.

Given where we were, getting to the penultimate week before going down is an achievement in itself. Could be done by kick off, let alone full time.

That Charlton/Wrexham one is tasty mind.

Unfortunately we will be down before kick off if Rovers beat Reading at lunchtime. We blew our chance on Monday sadly.

Feels like another free hit for us like the Wycombe game and we should be well up for it. I do expect a much tighter game that will likely have one goal in it either way. I've got a feeling Orient may beat Wycombe which if is the case, Sky will be praying it's a Wrexham promotion party. Hopefully we put a stop to it and take it to the final day because Lincoln away will be a real challenge for Wrexham

Really excited/bricking it all at the same time. We have been in this situation before a few times already since our takeover and I really hope it happens again in our favour. I've gone passed the point of caring about next year as we'd get about 12 points anyway the way we play. PP really got the players going after the Rovers game, hopefully we can get the same performance + result again this weekend.

Can we beat another team in or around the playoffs for the third game in a row?
Think this will be the toughest of the three so far IMHO.
When we actually go out and attack teams we look a decent side, trouble is we often just sit in away from home especially.
Won 3 of the first 4, then 3 out of 18!

Hoping Aneke's red card gets overturned. Although he's not what he once was he can still be a real handful to bring on us a sub as a plan B. It seems a soft red card on replay with Leahy going down very easily. Given Wycombe need us to beat Wrexham, it's fitting we've currently got a player banned as a result of their player trying to buy a red card in injury time at 4 down!

We’ve won our last 4 and gone behind in all 4 games, the squad is more resilient than I thought it was tbh.

We’ll likely start the team which started against Barnsley I’d have thought but Sean Clare will be in for Pratley.

A draw doesn’t suit either side, (well it might suit us if Reading aren’t winning etc) so if it’s level after 75mins then it could be an exciting end.

It did look like Leahy was more running into him on purpose but i'd give the Charlton lad a 1 game ban, get it reduced from a 3 game ;)

Nah, not anymore it aint.

You can literally get 2nd if you beat us - the WW result will be known by the time we kick off, and I think they'll draw at best, meaning you have to beat us, and if you do, I can't see us beating Lincoln under that much pressure and also with them having none, infront of a sell-out crowd.

So no, it's def not 'a free hit' anymore....

We have to beat you regardless as you’re 4 points ahead.

There’s no pressure on us to win at all, we’re comfortably third favourites out of the 3 and there’s still Stockport to consider.

Two games to go and we are still in with a chance of staying up! Just got to beat the Cobblers and Salop and hope other games go our way.

I can't see it happening .

Can see us getting something from this game though. Northampton are safe, nothing to play for so hopefully they have their bags packed for the beach. Knowing our luck, they've all been told they're playing for their futures etc.

Don't know who our keeper will be. Don't know how fit Wollacott is and Toby Steward should gave gone back to Pompey after the emergency loan finished.

Maybe free hit isn't the right word but the pressure is more on Wrexham. Aneke's red card hasn't been overturned so he is out. He comes on if teams nullify our wingplay, which can happen, to win balls in the air from long balls. Now Plan B will be the less effective Ahadme or Hylton. Jones doesn't give too much away on the injury front and may be toying with Wrexham but Berry and Lloyd Jones are potential doubts. Both would be huge misses but especially Lloyd Jones, who has been unbelievable this season at the back.

Another one out for the season now, this time Isaac Hutchinson misses the last 2 games due to concussion protocol. Ffs

The only better set of games you could have hoped for is us and Shrews

Be more pressure on us if Wycombe drop points. The good thing is management and the players have been in this position before so know whats required. If Wycombe get a win, then it'll be BAU until next weekend.

Away at Birmingham, I wonder what the outcome will be

With Burton and Bristol R both playing beforehand either we'll be fortunate enough to be safe, or nervously looking over out shoulders sweating.

The scenarios as I see them:

If WW get a win - more pressure on Wxm to beat Charlton and maintain that second spot.

If WW don't get the win - slightly less pressure on Wxm, as we'll likely just need a draw whereas Charlton will still HAVE to win, but with added pressure of knowing that if they do, they've got the easier final game and we would then have to win away at no-pressure Lincoln.

Our game should be a good watch tomorrow as both sides have to win.

I can see it being a tight game again, suprised Wycombe lost 4-0 at Charlton, although Norris did gift them one of the goals.

Wycombe are the only side whom I’ve gone away from This season when they beat us 3-0 and thought, they were miles better in every department and will be there come the end of the season. So will be interesting to see how we match up to them.

Nothing match v Huddersfield. I guess they will be more disappointed with that than us.
Be nice to go for it, we will have to play Sonny Cox up front again as he's our only forward, but otherwise who knows.
Strangely close to a sell out for this non event. I suspect more interest will be in what's happening in Preston and Hemel Hempstead
