Awful away again. O'Connell adding to his growing reel of fuck ups, needs dropping.
Get battered next week.
We won't, we're a different animal at home as we know.

But it's obviously the biggest test so far and they could be the one team that can beat us at the Racecourse.

Even by 'Wrexham away' standards...that was as poor as it gets! Rathbone was the only one to come out of it with any brownie points. The two O's at the back were awful, McClean couldn't cross a bridge... maybe about one in every 30 tries, he'll nail one....the list goes on though!

Even though we're somehow better at home, Brum will put paid to that record next week.

Can't wait to see the Parky Effin & Jeffin Show in the dressing room on the doc after that...

O'Connell was our man of the match tonight. The lineup showed that we were just going to dig in and try and nick something on the break. 2nd awful penalty for Marquis but the rebound fell kindly to him. We haven't got much quality going forward but Ainsworth can get them fighting for each other. Feared the worst when Nsiala came on at half time, but he defended well. If we do go down, and safety is still a long way off, at least they'll make a fist of it.

Wrexham were poor tonight. It never really felt they were going to get the 2md equaliser. Lee would be a good player at this level if he stayed on his feet more instead of falling over every time someone went near him. I thought Barnett was the main danger for them.

Not a fan of McClean but the stick he took tonight was OTT. Seemed some of out Block 19 boys were only there to shout at him.

Looked like Wonchester was saying his goodbyes after the game too. Supposed to be heading to Derry.

Looked a fair amount of stuff thrown at him and one lad turfed out for hopping the advertising boards to get at him. It's the worst he's had while with us.

Assume those idiots don't represent your fanbase and only turn up for the likes of us and Birmingham, but clubs receive fines for less than that.

Fully expecting a fine for it, annoying as we need the cash for players.

You're right, they only turn up for the big games or where they can give it the biggun to away fans. Used to be quite busy over in Block 19 but it's been pretty quiet apart from the back few rows most of the season

I really struggled to watch that game last night, deserved to be played on a dog shit covered park pitch. Them two don’t like to play football.

Not a great game but Ainsworth sides have always managed to turn a game into a bit of a snooze fest that he can get on the right side of.

We've finally started to play ok under Jones and I'm looking forward to games for once. Playing a system with width has completely transformed us. Aneke is back getting minutes which is excellent as he's such a good player at this level for the 20 minutes he plays 8 times a season before his hamstring goes. May be a bit of a selection headache as Ramsay is back from injury. He's our best player IMO but Small has been excellent at RWB, making him tough to drop.

It almost felt like Parky would have said to the players "treat it as any other game" just like Lowe did for Argyle when we turned them over 4-0 at out place - It's a derby, it isn't "just another game"

Treat it as any other away game, and we did. Best in the league at home and almost the worst in the league away.

Aww did Wrexham get beat off a team they think they should be turning over?

There's no style to your football it's very direct and it's just momentum and a big spending spree that got you to where you are, but that has began to wear off now and all I can see is a bunch of slow overpaid, overweight geriatrics who look nothing like athletes.

You've fallen behind.

Wetting your pants over a team in a league above lost a game whilst you are facing non league obscurity for eternity.

We're allright, we may go down but we expect four successive promotions to follow it because we've now put in place a philosophy in our style of play which is very modern and progressive where only a certain type of player is suited to it and we have the right director of football, head coach and coaching staff to implement it.

You're quite the opposite though with a dinosaur manager who only plays a very rigid style of football and you sign too many players on big contracts who are getting on a bit.

It worked for you in the two leagues below but L1 is a whole different ballpark where you need to be good at passing the ball with younger players who have lots of energy and skill.

We learned quickly from our mistakes, seems you haven't.

Those mistakes have you rooted to the foot of the football league. Definitely learnt, haven't you? How to be rock bottom and work your way down. Impressive.

It works though.

I didn’t watch the game, but at this level, you can get away with getting it forward quickly, playing the percentages as far as getting the set pieces, spoiling the game when the opposition is in the ascendancy, and go for the niggly fouls and to wind up the opposition - I’m assuming Gazball hasn’t changed that much, especially when he has a limited bunch of players to work with.

There is a method and tactics to it though, Richard Dobson (Ainsworth’s No. 2) is actually a pretty smart fella.

Was chuffed with this result for Ainsworth, I didn’t care so much from a promotion perspective though, as I expect us to choke in Bloomfield’s absence (at least long enough to blow our chances this season), and nothing against Wxm (let’s face it it would be pathetically hypocritical for us to complain about sugar-daddied clubs right now).

Wellens has said we will pick the freshest team we can after Tuesdays extra time game, Sean Clare is banned after being sent off.

I'd expect Markanday to start as he will be fresh.

I'll be happy to get anything out of this as our squad was out on their feet come the end of the game on Tuesday.

Posh have now signed 3 new defenders in this window after signing Sam Hughes and Tayo Edun this week, so you wonder if it will improve them at the back.

The thing I've noticed with Ainsworth is just how positive he is in every interview. Acknowledges that we're in a tough position but he's confident (or gives that impression) that we'll get out of it come May. Makes such a difference to Hurst who always talked up the opposition and how difficult things were. He's building up the relationship with the fans, and getting something out of a limited bunch. Marquis didn't look at all interested when he signed, he's now captain and running for 90 minutes. Lloyd didn't stop running all night. He won't get too many goals but is all about effort.

Also shipping out the players he doesn't want, hopefully making space for a few key players to get us out of the hole we're in.

I think I've said before, it's not about pretty football now, it's about getting enough points to survive. We havent got the quality ATM.

Not sure what to expect from Wycombe who are clearly a very good side but obv just lost the manager. Pacey team which is our biggest worry, but in the reverse fixture we successfully kept them out (until the freak cross goal in stoppage time)

From our perspective there were a few with niggles like Oshilaja and Evans who missed out Tuesday, them being back would be important for us to get a result.

Go into a six pointer with only one keeper at the club but it's alright. Our centre half, Barker enjoys playing in goal. Tinpottedness of the highest order.

We've had a break but we go a ent signed anyone so it will be business as usual for Crawley. Decent football for 70 minutes let down by puss poor defending. Then 20 minutes of crap football trying to get an equaliser or defend a lead.

Feels like a decent point that considering Blackpool have been much better than us for 3 out 4 half’s of football this season. Joe Taylor is going to be fun to watch and Anthony Evans was excellent which hopefully kick starts his Town career.

Rock bottom of the football league. I said double relegation last season and it's coming true.

Managed to get YET ANOTHER injury before this, midfield seems to have been done on a raffle basis and 5 of the 6 outfield players on the bench are youth players. What an 18 we have today.

This should be fun.

Shabby Shaun is my new favourite named player.

But yeah, didn't have this on the bingo card, especially being well deserved at this stage. Ho hum, just gotta do it for another 50 odd minutes!
