What a performance that was! A bit like at Mansfield last season.
Lindsey does have the Midas touch, but the defence were good today (the main difference from our game at Bolton) and Rotherham's attempts at scoring were woeful.
Also, the return of Flint after a long absence has helped.
We couldn't, could we?!

I didn't go today. I wish I had now. I've not heard from anyone who went (in detail) just been told we thoroughly deserved it.

Napoleon always said he'd rather have a lucky general than a brilliant one. Lindsey's return has coincided with the return of Flint in defence, Quinrena on the wing and Heburn-Murphy up front (three of our better players) . Add in Doyle, who was 'bang average' at Exeter setting the world on fire for us and you have to say Lindsey has become a lucky general.

It's two games. I still think we're too far away from safety but we are trying.

Anyone is a tough fixture at the moment. We have been shit all season as I've been saying. The fact we are still 6 points clear makes me feel a bit sorry for what those below have had to put up with this season.

Time wasting at 1-0 down while you’re fighting for your lives in a relegation battle is a new low even for some of the absolute shit we’ve faced this year.

Shrews were gash but not as bad as Cambridge. Blues were much faster and more relentless than they’ve been in a while.
The fight went after we lost to Stevenage on 22 February. We were 14 points behind before today, with a squad assembled by 4 different managers, yet managed by a 5th. Didn't go today but taking your word for the time wasting, imagine that would be more to try and stay in the game and nick something from a set piece.

Quicker this season is over the better.

We haven't been "shit" as such, just not quite good enough...well, there were a few games we were absolute tosh. But even the better teams have had to work hard to beat us.

Just watched the goals. Crawley scored four goals !

We're too good at what we do mate. Winning games of football.
Fair enough. Thought it was definitely competitive up to the second goal, but then we gave up. We played strange tactics and though the stats looked ok for us, in the end we were well beaten as we didn't look as much of a threat.
Thought 47 was your best player, and it was largely a game played in a good spirit with a good atmosphere (pantomime booing of JM apart).
Good luck for the rest of the season

We couldn't, could we?!

As you say, although we hit the woodwork twice and had a goal disallowed at
0 2 our general play was woeful and Crawley looked streets better than us.

It's no exaggeration to say Crawley could have had 6 or 7 in what was the most embarrassing home defeat that I can remember in 60 odd years of supporting the club.

Evans should have the decency to offer the chairman his resignation but it sounds like he is waiting for Tony Stewart to sack him.
He shouldn't be putting the responsibility on the chairman, he is using their friendship to buy more time.

I can't see a way back from this, 50 per cent of the supporters were against his second time around appointment, so the atmosphere soon turned toxic yesterday.
I've tended to be in the "give the bloke a chance" brigade, but he doesn't appear to be able to instil any kind of method into the players this time around.

On the plus side, IMO Crawley played some of the best football I've seen at NYS this season, very attractive passing play that continually cut us open through the middle and down the wings.

If yesterday's a true reflection of how Crawley can play, rather than our ineptitude, it seems to me they have every chance of making up the points gap.

There was only one team looked like relegation candidates yesterday, and it wasn't Crawley.

I wish them the best of luck in their fight to stay up.

Great to get a win at Bristol Rovers, largely as they gave us both goals quite literally on a plate, but good lord what a crap game of football that was. Think there must have been about 3 moments of quality in the game - the main one being the Rovers eqauliser which was a fine strike.

2 in 2 now after that ridiculous winless run, however with Charlton (h) tomorrow and Huddersfield (a) Saturday that won't be continuing.

Boring for us both as was hoping there'd be something riding on the last game of the season to make it more interesting rather than just a dead rubber

Very happy with the dead rubber pal given it's the 1st season up here in ever. Will be nice to end the season for once without something riding on it.
