We’ve only taken 1 point from 4 away trips to Bromley since 2019 and so we’ll be justifiably pessimistic.

Andy Woodman’s voodoo aside though, I think we’re the best equipped we’ve ever been to get something from this type of game and shouldn’t be physically bullied as much as we have been in previous trips.

Hopefully our galacticos are back fit and available for selection.

Bromley have always proven a tough game for us. Normally I'd be happy with a point down there but I think can get a win on Saturday.
We've signed some big strong players with technical ability, we're a better team overall than last season and I'm trying hard to keep my feet on the ground but our midfield options look immense compared to last season, defence and keeper night and day more solid and McGoldrick in his favoured position is looking good for twenty goals with Jatta, 8 in 11 and Jevani Brown in rotation giving very good options.
Win.

Accrington is a place we rarely go to and win in the league. 1-1-6 in league visits, but funnily enough 3-0-0 in cup trips.

But they are struggling, in terrible form under John Doolan and we have to be looking for a win.

Make sure your players have got their shin pads on, they were bereft of ideas and just clogged us yesterday to stop us playing.

Need to get that home record monkey off our backs asap. Currently we have the same number of wins at home this calendar year as San Marino, not great.

Would look to go same again for the lineup. Finally showed some glimpses of putting it together against Newport but also mindful we need to show can do it consistently not just as a one-off. Benicio did go off injured so if he’s not available then Curtis to come in for him.

Harrogate, never beaten them in the league. It will be interesting to see if we change formation

Tranmere at home in another tricky game, they're unbeaten so far in the league although have played one fewer. Lord knows what sort of side we'll put out, at the moment we're getting a couple back each week and losing a couple at the same time. Without doing any homework at all it seems Tranmere are one of those sides that the home side tends to win in games between us, so obviously I'll take that if it came to pass again.

Good sides don't lose two in a row, so it's important to take something from this one and I'm relatively confident that we get at least a point, and depending on who we can call upon to play will massively dictate whether we have enough to win it.

Fleetwood at home.

Can only see repeat of recent games and yet another defeat.

It’s getting to the stage already where even draws are no good, we need wins.

Unfortunately when we have Non league standard footballers like Mellish playing for us, the chances of us winning are slim.

Bromley away is a graveyard for us. Would happily take a point.

Same here. I'm hoping the introduction of grass may help us because the two times I've been and we played on the 4G pitch we struggled and been bullied.

Next two games are currently 11th away and 4th at home looks like a step up in competition. Would love 4 points from those 2 but won't be easy.

Not many harder games than Vale away. Seem to be just figuring it out as well. Would probably take the point if offered right now.

We’ve won at home once in 9 months… there’s a lot harder places to go based on that!

Tough game but as mentioned above we need to start putting in performances at home. We seem to have sorted getting the attack to click now the likes of Stockley and Byers are available but still prone to errors at the back.

Did like the switch to 4-2-3-1 which does seem to suit the players we have.

Draw wouldn’t be the end of the world here with kinder fixtures to finally come (doesn’t often mean a lot with Vale though!) but building on the superb performance yesterday would be a huge positive.

Better yesterday and a bit more cohesive but still very shaky at the back and players still getting used to each other.

Add to the fact that we've won ONE home game in 2024 and it's not so daunting.

We just need to have a set style and formation and stick to it. Feels like forever since we had back to back victories, so I'm not holding my breath.

I have Chesterfield as one of the favourites, so it's going to be really tough for us, especially whilst we're still getting used to each other. We've played 4 of the current top 10 out of 5 games, so it's been a tricky start to the season.

I'd settle for a point with 2 kinder looking fixtures coming up.

There were 2 leagues between us last season, that's a tough game in my book! At least we'll have Dunkley back. I think I'd look to start Araujo who looked really game when he come on on Saturday, or Grimes alongside and get Naylor back in the midfield. Cooks hand might be forced on that anyway with the Oldaker red. Unless we see Jones. Still reckon I'd take the point

At least both clubs are light years better off certainly off the pitch and most likely on the pitch than when we last locked horns that fateful Good Friday 6 years ago.

Should be about 2500-3000 more watching this time!

Any talk of contesting that red? Or is that not a thing for two yellows? Can never remember the rules.

Walsall away - arguably our toughest test so far!

Still missing Sarcevic and Baldwin through injury, so I’m guessing it’ll be the same starting XI as per the weekend. Perhaps a little harsh on Alex Pattison, but I thought Clarke Odour did well against Carlisle on Saturday. He’s seems to be the only player who has the vision to unlock defences in the final third at the minute - closely followed by Pointon.

GK: Sam Walker

CB: Cheick Diabete
CB: Niall Bryne
CB: Cieran Kelly

LWB: Tyreik Wright
RWB: Brad Halliday

CM: Jamie Walker
CM: Ritchie Smallwood ©️
CM: Clarke Odour

ST: Andy Cook
ST: Olly Sanderson

There’s always goals in this fixture. Jamie Walker and Andy Cook seem to relish our encounters, so I’m going for 3-1 City.

Cook x2 and Walker

1,500 City

Dunkley back will be big for us in my opinion. Can see either Oldaker being replaced by Metcalfe or Araujo (and Naylor into CDM)

Have in my head it’s a big wider pitch and Vale and Berry and Markanday will be key for us. Still a bit worried about the lack of goals from Grigg too

It is physically a huge surface but we have brought the lines in a bit this season.
