New series started last night, anyone watch it? I found it to be more of the same and very tiresome.

Wasn't great - usually enjoy the road trips and the stuff out of the ordinary but it was a bit boring I found. St Peterburg is a place i'd love to visit though.

Absolutely nothing original in it last night.

Embarrassingly shite, exactly as I had expected. A new format without all the silliness and scripted challenges has been required since season 9 at least. Not impressed by that new Lambo either, can do much better at that price point.

Yeah the Lambo didn't look right, the front end was ok and it looked like the face off of the Predator, but it didn't look low enough for a high end £175k car, and the back of it kept reminding me of the old Rover SD1's.

This. Been getting a bit bored with it for the last couple of series to be honest, if ever there was a program that rested on its laurels, this is it. Desperately needs freshening up.

BTW When did Series start becoming seasons? This isn't the 51st State you know. Yet.

Thought it was pretty wank once again tbh.

Another week of predictable drivel. Clarkson obviously left the tents in the car deliberately.

Apparently there is a new classic car series starting Friday Channel 5 (yep I know) at 7. I think its presented by Quentin Wilson and that other bloke Jodie Kidd.

Both episodes so far have been a bit meh, but far from the worst over the last five years or so.

Yep, that Ricciardo lap looked seriously rapid from the footage and the way he drove it into the last 2 corners, no surprise it was the fastest ever.

Yep, no surprise at all. I don't watch Formula 1 any more but always said that if I did still watch it I wouldn't be shocked to see him take the top spot.

Another terrible episode though. 2 or 3 more seasons like this and I'm definitely going to stop watching.

Saw the first two minutes of it, fast-forwarded and only saw a bit of 'the news' and when they started waffling about immigrants I skipped through to see if there was any reviews of cars, but no back to the predictable ambulance shit which I switched off completely. Think I saw four minutes of it in total and didn't look like I missed much at all.

It doesn't look like they've listened to the fans of the show at all and are coming away with the same scripted drivel. Its not entertainment any more, just an excuse to make another £15 mill a year for Clarkson.

Fifth Gear and that new Classic Car Show thingy on Channel 5 are way better now (have also watched every episode of Wheeler Dealers as well).

Agree - only bit I enjoyed was the Ricciardo interview who I thought seemed a top lad and will almost definitely win the world title in the coming years.

Essentially the same challenge they did with the police cars a couple of seasons ago. A couple of funny moments but it is all feeling a little bit stale. They desperately need to shake up the format a bit and could probably do with a new team of writers.

Indeed, that was much more of the stuff that made 'new' Top Gear a hit. Good cars, dodgy reviews and decent stunts. Only flicked through the 'star' shit part this week.

A decent episode that I actually enjoyed. What the fuck is the world coming to when I can't complain about Top Gear? Normal service to resume next weekend please.

I know I'm definitely getting one of those one day!

Tell me about it.

If I woke up to find a M3 and GTR in my driveway, I think I'd explode with Jizz. :)

Personally, I find Top Gear's perpetual jizzfest over the M3 somewhat nauseating. They're nice cars but they do go OTT about them.

I prefer the look of both the McLaren and the Porsche to the new Ferrari myself. I also don't believe the inability to drive on just the battery is anything to be proud of. And both Ferrari and McLaren sounded like a bunch of childish tossers if what Clarkson said is true about the conditions. Good that Porsche were perfectly willing.

That wasn't too bad last night, I even put up with the Peugeot nonsense.

Hammond still trying to flog another shit Yank car though, no one will fall for it. 6.2 ltr engine with 460 bhp? Sheesh if that was a European machine it would have near double that horsepower for the same size of engine. If that Vette is as poorly engineered as its engine, then it will as always be shit in comparison with its European counterparts. Thats why its also cheaper than the European cars.

That Laferrari was beautiful though, I think it was better looking than the P1, but I like both of them tbh.

Enjoyed it last night again, first time in ages i've laughed out loud at their stupidity with the Peugeot stuff.
