Apologies to agard and mkd for the racist tosser who allegedly posted on instagram... i can guarantee you he does not speak for 99.9999 % of tranmere supporters and i guarentee you if he had been brave enough to make racist comments at the ground he would have been bounced out of the ground by other tranmere followers .

It happened once last season in the town paddock ( lower area of the main stand nearest the away end) when james alabi was abused by a new supporter. The chap was turned on by about 20 of us who told him exactly what we thought with connor jennings joining in as he overheard the incident whilst warming up.... the fella has not been back .

Let me also add my apologies to Chuks Aneke on behalf of all right thinking Tranmere fans, which is the vast vast majority. The club have, quite rightly, handed this over to the Police to deal with and I sincerely hope that the racist gremlin gets exactly what he deserves. Rest assured he will never set foot in Prenton Park again and hope the club names and shames the culprit, preferrably by putting a picture of him on their social media sites so we can all see who he is. I`m sure a lot of us would love a word with him about dragging the good name of our club though the dirt.

We just aren't anywhere near the level we were in the first half of the season and a lot of that is down to injuries to key players.

We're now without Moore-Taylor, Walsh, Williams, Cargill and Gilbey - all of whom would be guaranteed starters, and all of them barring Gilbey are defenders. Literally only one recognised experienced CB available for us (Russell Martin).

Wasn't aware of the Instagram post. Would agree with the sentiments of fellow Rovers fans that there is no place in our club for racists and if it is confirmed this originated from a Rovers supporter, then they should be banned from the club along with whatever punishment the courts dish out.

Every club in the division will have a similar person, anybody who let’s this affect their opinion on Tranmere as a football club is the wrong way to go about it.

Basically...

1. Tranmere and MK staff and stewards as well as players didn't hear anything racist from the crowd. No reports of any racist shouting/chants were made by any fans.

2. Tranmere and MK have looked at all the CCTV and mobile phone footage re Chuks Aneke throwing something at fans whilst walking off the pitch. No evidence of him throwing anything (at worst an empty sweet wrapper). He's been warned and Tranmere are looking into installing a proper player tunnel in future.

3. Clubs and police still investigating the racist post on Instagram. Not yet determined whether the person responsible is associated with any club at this stage.

There were 3 or 4 of your fans claiming they attended the game and heard racist chanting. The “meme” then appears from one of those lads accounts which they use as evidence of racist chanting.

I was told by a good source the IP address of the Instagram post is in Bedfordshire, hence how vague the comment is.

Some thick kids trying to rattle Tranmere fans out of bitterness from losing, not understanding consequences of racism.

If there was any racist behaviour at Prenton Park I’d be very quick to show them find the exit personally, as would every other Tranmere fan.

Perhaps what you are saying is correct, but I don't see how you know for certain that any of our fans created it. Anyone can claim they have somone in the know, but until either one of the clubs or the police say who the person is officially, it's all speculation. Absolutely it should be condemned however with no evidence people were very quick to start accusing Tranmere of this and that, which made it into the MSM despite being untruthful.

There was deffo no racist chanting, We get isolated knobs who think it impresses the crowd around them ... it doesn't but last time I heard a full scale racist chant at prenton park was the late 80s the trigger chant aimed at a rotherham player... it just doesnt happen at prenton park. Also I'm in the town paddock by the away end so if they heard it we would have too, even if I missed it someone would have commented disgusting, knobs or words to that effect and word would have gotten around.... didnt happen
