So I'm correct in saying Bury are up with the draw?

A Tranmere win will see them going into the final game of the season needing a win, along with MK and Mansfield, to stand a chance of going up automically?

If Tranmere fail to win, a draw for Mansfield at MK becomes acceptable for autos.

A Tranmere loss could still see them guaranteed a PO place if Newport fail to win? But if Newport win, it'll go down to the final game where they'll only miss out if they lose, Exeter win and there's a swing of 4 goals?
i have brain ache trying to work through all the permutations we need to win both games and see what happens swa swa

Quite simple really, we need a point to guarantee playoffs.

If we win both our games, either a Bury loss or a MK Mansfield draw on the final day will see us up automatically.

Expecting an open game. Bury had might as well go for it with the insurance of a game against Vale to go up and we'll go for it as we need a win to stay in the hunt!

Should be a cracker. Predicting 3-2 Tranmere.

We're not dealing with this pitch very well. Need our heads banging together at HT. Lucky to get anything I think at the moment.

Battering them as expected, should be more. Got to keep that up though.

Bury diving all over the shop is embarrassing.

Poor game in all honesty. Both sides look nervous, though I think we're good value for our lead on the balance of clear chances.

We're making some dangerous mistakes in worrying positions, which we can't assume Bury will waste all night. We've also been wasteful in front of goal, both Norwood and Jennings guilty of spurning golden opportunities. Bury have also missed one chance which looked easier to score, but otherwise haven't created an awful lot.

Second half needs to see some improvement.

It’s been poor from us, we are struggling to get anything going, can’t get the ball under control... Murphy’s distributuon is awful and is giving Tranmere a helping hand.

That's been coming. Bury look like a different side this half. We, on the other hand, look very vulnerable.

Not looking forward to the rest of this game!

Playoffs. Made to rue not taking first half chances.

Danny Mayor pulled strings second half, no idea how they can afford him...

Deserved point and deserved promotion, on the pitch anyway! Bury a very good side, and we just couldn't match them in the second half. Congrats Bury.

Congrats Bury on overspending to promotion. Your next bout of relegation and administration awaits you.

You do realise that the majority of the high earners haven't featured at all this season? Mayor and O'Shea are probably the only 2. The likes of Beckford, Bunn, Aldred etc where the majority is tied up have not played. I imagine the wage bill of our starting XI tonight will not be too far away from the majority of the top 10.

Anyway … YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

We should have scored more, wasteful in both halves.

Bury just passed it to Mayor, the goal was very disappointing from our point of view at a few moments.

Yep, but they also had gilt edged chances and hit the inside of the post. We could've won it, but so could they.

I do agree that we're frustratingly wasteful in front of goal recently though. Our finishing has gone to absolute crap.

Can’t believe Norwood missed that chance with about 20 minutes to go. Anywhere else and we go 2-1 up.

Second half Danny Mayor was unplayable, if he’s under contract he’ll definitely be the first to go when the fire sale starts over the summer!

Not sure my nerves can handle the playoffs again!

No idea why Mullen didn’t come on earlier, Norwood was so isolated second half we were crying out for a change. Ollie Banks is so hit and miss as well, it felt like every single pass he just aimlessly hit without even looking up. I assume Perkins isn’t fully fit but Gilmore should been given a go second half.

Hats off to Ryan Lowe for his work at half time . The space we were getting down the flanks of the back 3 completely vanished. Well done bury.

As posted above mellon struggles with tactical substitutions its almost as though he waits until he is forced before he changes things.

Draw fair result. As I said about Lincoln the league table doesnt lie bury are the second best team in the division.

Come on you stags next

We didn’t get near Mayor all game, it was like we never done our homework on him. Would of stuck Perkins on him and not gave him a kick.

Playoffs guaranteed, great achievement by us. Newport also leapfrog Exeter I see. Devon_Lad you OK hun? X

I thought we played well in the first half and were much the better side. There was a good intensity to our game, winning a lot of second balls, and we always looked dangerous. However, we were always going to need a second goal against a side like Bury and we paid for missed chances in the end.

In the second half I thought we should have changed the shape to try and counter Mayor, and Mellon was a bit slow with his substitutions. We just ran out of gas in the end and a draw was a fair result.

Not too deflated as play offs are now guaranteed.

Harris was man marking him in the first half and did a decent job. After half time he did not get near him.

Had our chances in both games against Bury but didn't take them when on top. They're a good side that deserved the promotion for footballing reasons, but it leaves a sour taste in the mouth that again it's by spending beyond their means. They deserve to go bust and this time they can stick those buckets where the sun don't shine. Danny Mayor's a quality player, he completely bossed that second half, we probably hang on for the win without him on the pitch.

Danny Mayor didn’t get tackled all night.

Seems a tad anti-climatic weirdly... was quite a straight forward second half.

Let’s hope your club doesn’t inherit a bad owner any time soon then. I wouldn’t want somebody else telling you that your club should go bust because of something you can’t control.

Exactly, no real football fan would say it. Just a tad bitter tonight I think. Anyway, we’ve done it.

Congratulations to Bury. It's some achievement given the goings on behind the scenes. Ryan Lowe is a great lad and manager and your squad has some excellent players. That Mayor today was superb in the second half. Well done all and enjoy.

As for us, we were 19th in the National League after around 10 games last season. Today we've just confirmed a spot in the League Two Playoffs. Couldn't be prouder and whatever happens this season, our club is firmly on the up.
