Although there is only one club in our league that is affected I've always wondered why there are always so many transfers made on the last couple of days of the xfer window. Surely if clubs wanted to bolster their ranks either to improve their promotion prospects or try to avoid relegation surely they'd want to get the new players in as soon as possible rather than wait another 4-6 games. Some xfers at the end of the window really do come across as desperation measures.

PS Can one of the North Walian contigent explain why NL transfers are a 'devolved' matter, I'm not trying to get political but it does seem very strange that you have to abide by different rules (which are clearly a disadvantage).

easy - we are governed by the welsh FA and not the english FA.

as a result we are stuck to the deadline set by the Welsh

Did anyone actually lose any key players this month? Apart from that Campbell at Woking I can't think of anyone who went to the League.

No one can afford to because its the likes of yourselves who have stolen all the money from L1 and 2 to fund the much coveted 10th place finish.

We've got a load of midfielders who will end up here sooner or later. Holohan I can see going to a brother club. Not quite got it in the proper leagues but would be a canny signing for any promotion chasing side. Martin Smith who is hopeless, another one, possibly Mark Shelton who could do a job for a brother in need.

No. After all that we held onto the two who it was thought might leave (Wootton and Rodrigues), think barely playing in Dec/Jan and having a poor last couple of games helped there.

It’s not a dig at all, I’d love to be owned by a couple of Hollywood dweebs that could afford to Chuck the kitchen sink at it - but how much have Wrexham spent now on fees?

Loanee but we lost Alex Hunt as Sheff Wed wanted to renegotiate the loan and have us pay his entire wage. Ryley Towler was also recalled by Bristol City just before the window. Both nailed on starters and two of our best players in the first half of the season. That's the risk with playing the loan game though.

You're accusing us of stealing the money?? We gave Wimbledon £300k for Ollie Palmer! I think it's the other way if anything. We've given football league clubs over £800k over the last year, if anything that cash injection should be helping clubs buy our rivals' top players.

Baffled as to how he got a transfer up a league, what does he actually do? He's so nondescript I actually just had to google him to see if it was the same bloke we had last season for a few months.

Fair play to them - they’re giving it a right old go. I think you’ll be top 3 this year as surely the quality in your squad at some point has to really show.

Hardly got grass on his boots this season, I couldn't tell you anything about him, he was a panic signing, be back down here soon I'd imagine.

The pressure is absolutely monumental for PP, anything but top 3 and he'll be walking a tightrope.

It would be nice if we could go on some crazy run and overtake Stockport but I just don't see it. Not because we don't have good enough players, but because we've just never been on the receiving end of good fortune on the pitch (off it, we've finally had some I'll admit). No doubt this Tom O'Connor will suffer a season ending injury in the Trophy game against Boreham Wood, and on his return our star striker Paul Mullin will receive his 3rd red card of the season for two footing the linesman.

I’m still not convinced he’s the right appointment. It might be semi effective but it ain’t pretty and can’t be getting the best out of your squad (in fact I’d say it isn’t given your current position). If you don’t go up and I were your owner I’d be moving him on.

I hear a certain James Rowe is soon to be available. Gets great results on the pitch.

We basically had two squads last season. Feel free to leave out the bit about us still making a 200k profit though.

The rumoured fees are:

Tozer - 200k
Hayden - 75k
Jones - 50k (Although PP said he was a free transfer)
Palmer - 350k
O' Connor - 350k
Hyde - No idea?!

So around a Million plus whatever Hyde was.

Expected a couple to go out, even on loan, but no-one left yet.

Some that aren't getting game time, are under contract, so didn't expect them to move until the summer, but we could see 6-7 hopefully leaving to reduce numbers then. Kev has stated the long term aim is to work with a squad in number of 23 to 25, not the mid 30s upwards we currently have.
