Honestly, even considering the potential impact of covid on transfer fees, anything below £5 million feels like an absolute bargain at the top end of this level now, whereas 10 years ago it was rare to see Championship clubs spend that at all. The market is ridiculous now and just gets worse by the year.£1.8m is a bargain these days? Not to say he's not a good signing, but if that qualifies as a bargain we have no chance. He had a fairly middling record in L2 and then the first couple of seasons at Brentford. To go from that to £27m is some progression.
