Nothing wrong with that. Don't think he is anywhere near as bad defensively as some make out. Yes he gets caught out on the odd occasion but what attacking full back doesn't.

I like him and if we didn't sign Mathews I would of been more than happy with him as our right back. Easily better than Little. God help us if Mathews is injured.

Got a good player there Leeds fans.
Disagree there, Little is a better RB, or at least was before his injury. He hasn't looked the same since coming back from it though

21.5m apparently fucking ridiculous

Yeah, being held up at the moment because of the birth of his child...

Really not sure what to think of this signing. A hell of a lot of money on a player who might not suit English football at all. Big risk.

Strong rumours now of us signing Emyr Huws. Another bang average midfielder to add to our 5 other bang average midfielders. But it's ok because he's Welsh which means he's a quality player in the eyes of some of our fans...

As for Gunnarson, with the way fees are at the moment £2 million would just about buy his beard.

Huws is definitely better than average, I'd have liked to have kept him but the situation with Wigan is odd. Still only 22 too so plenty of time to improve.

Yeah you'd be able to judge better than I, just whenever I've seen him he never struck me as anything than average. Didn't he refuse to play for Wigan in league 1 as well? Not the sort of person I'd want around the place if it was true.

I was surprised at the weekend to see that Whittingham is still going for you lot!

Huws refused to play for us in L1 after being injured half of the season and collecting a huge wage when we got relegated. His bridges are burnt with the fans. He will be sold, it's just a matter of us recouping as much money as possible for him which is probably holding up any move. The asking price is 2 million apparently.

As mentioned by me at the start of the week, Dominic Ball will be next for us on a season long loan from Spurs.

Hope there's been progress on Izzy Brown too.

Being honest pal you've got to say it is a fucking stupid signing, the cost, not just in terms of fee but wages as well, being bankrolled is all well and good but at this level you need sustainability, imagine him getting clattered two games in and getting a bad injury?

Why do so many people put an S on the end of his name? Even some Derby fans do it.

Anyway, if true it's just a response to tell us to get lost. Like we did when Bournemouth kept bidding for Russell, so we started bidding for Ritchie.

Auto correct on this thing. I suspect you are right, and rumours are we've offered 1FF a new deal with a release clause in it!

Hopefully that release clause is closer to £15M.

Whilst I accept we might have to move away from the Chris Martin 4-3-3 to progress under Pearson I'll still be PISSED if he's sold. He's my boy.

Class player, who crazily divides opinions of Derby fans because he's "lazy" and "unfit". Our fans wouldn't know a decent striker if one hit them in the fucking face.

Perhaps..? That's a given, not fussed either way tbh. As I said earlier, he'll be 3rd choice, maybe fighting for 2nd with Cissokho, unless we're shipping Cissokho/Amavi out now.

Doesn't want to sell to a promotion rival (as if we're contenders at the moment) apparently.

Wigan also targeting Byrne with PNE and maybe Brentford. I remember wanting him last season when we needed a RB but we wouldn't shell out the money and signed Kevin McNaughton on a free instead.

Bryne has only ever played on the wing for us, seems a lot better there than as a defender.

Would be happy with Byrne, think Grayson would be able to get him playing again. Not sure we would be able to compete with the wages Wigan would be able to pay though. Know absolutely nothing about Mbabu.

We wouldn't let Nathan Byrne go for a penny less than we paid for him, which was 1m.

Martin bid of 6.5m was rejected.

We supposedly set an asking price of £10m last summer, when Swansea had a bid rejected (believed to be 8m). All came from Nixon though, so y'know probably utter bollocks.

Lee Grant has rejected Bristol City, and looks likely to go to Sheffield United.
