Conor Coady instead at £2mill, would cost you at least £4mill for Wells with the sell on we've got on him with Bradford.

Think we'll take our £3.65 and shop elsewhere, doubt we will spend much on any player this transfer window. With every other team seemingly getting stronger unless something changes I cant see us doing as well as last season.

Left winger and centre mid are our two target areas now. Would have liked another defender too tbh.

Brandon Barker and Jamie Murphy the two main links for the wing but I know little about either. No real suggestions about the centre mid.

Not sure why we are after Coady, given we have a whole load of young defensive midfielders and have been offloading others.
Would be keen on Wells though. £4 million's a bit steep though. Give you £2.5 mill, Lee Evans, and 287 Wolves home shirts, assorted sizes, with 'O'Hara' printed on the back.

Tomasz Kuszczak off to Birmingham City.
We're taking him over in a taxi because with his record, we can't have him catching the tram: it would slip underneath him.
If the Blues get into Europe, it'd better be close because he's not good in the air either.

Anyway, St Andrews has a new legend. Trust me, he'll be introduced as a "former Man United keeper" because this is how the media across the kingdom refers to any player who has even taken a 90 minute tour of Old Trafford or the Corrie set.

If Coady is a defensive midfielder he might be a step up on Price, but as Hertswolf says I don't think we need to spend 2 mill on a replacement for Jack Price. I think a striker is paramount considering we only really have Dicko and Afobe who will be around the team next season. If we can get that done I would be relatively happy to start the season with that.

Wouldn't actually surprise me to see us offer you a player plus cash deal for Coady, as we already have too many midfielders.

Maitland Niles signs on a season long loan from Arsenal, good bit of business that. Couple more signings and we're there hopefully.
I think we're sorted going forward, more defensive cover needed though, especially at full back.

That's my call aswell- competition for Parr (although i hope to see him start the season at LB) and a recognised RB.

If the above were to happen I'd want to see Chambers move to CB to partner Berra, with Smith dropping to the bench.

From what I've seen and know of Niles, I wouldn't be holding out for much. He's not made an impact in the games I've seen of him, especially at our place, and has an horrific record at U21 level.

I'm surprised he got a Championship club. Crowley, Bielik and Iwobi would have all been better options in midfield, before you look at Zelalem, etc.

Fair enough, I don't expect him to be starting anyway.

We are signing Josh McEachran apparently. Signing on a 4 year deal.

We want Dominic Samuel back on loan, apparently he's going on Reading's pre-season tour so Clarke can assess him. What are the chances of him being given a go this season - I'd assume not that high with Sa, Cox and Pog to choose from.

According to the chairman at Rapid Vienna we have bid several times for their Slovenian striker Robert Beric. Suggesting that we are planning to bid 5.4million euros for him which should be enough. 27 goals in the Austrian Bundesliga last season but does seem crazy that we'd smash our record transfer fee. We were rumoured to be interested in him a couple of years ago when he was at Maribor, so maybe there is something in this..

Well i'd be very surprised if Cox was still here next season, Clarke doesn't rate him at all (he got him out of West Brom before too) so that does only leave us with 3 strikers in that case. Linked to Donaldson and this Slovenian guy above which would make it 4. Depends whether Clarke wants to play two up front or one, if the latter Samuel might be available. Is in the last year of his contract though so I think Clarke will want to see a lot of him in a Reading shirt this year. Who knows though.

Yeah hard to judge at this stage when you've still got players coming and going. Almost certainly worth giving a chance to, has a bit of pace, strong, good technically and looks a natural finisher. Obviously this was all against poor League One opposition, but still there is potential there.

Great signing that. Also annoys me that all of our rivals seem to be strengthening their squads whilst we have lost our best player and brought in 1 player from Portsmouth. I hope KJ doesn't think our squad is good enough as it is.

For anyone hoping to get Wes Foderingham, he's gone to Rangers.
Surprised he didn't get a Championship club. Warbs seems to be doing a good job convincing pretty good players to go up there.

Is McEachran good? I know he was highly rated but haven't been sure how he's got on during loan spells since?

Ok just as I'm panicking we sign Conor Coady for 2million as a direct replacement for Jack Price. Happy with that but need a striker now.

Wasn't he meant to be the next big thing at Chelsea or am I thinking of someone else?

Yeah that's him, seems he hasn't lived up to expectations and has had various loan spells where he hasn't made much impact. Maybe a permanant move somewhere will help him settle down and reach his potential.

McEachran deal seems to be very close. Had his medical apparently already and could be unveiled tomorrow.

Supposedly Guidetti is coming in for a medical as well in the next couple of days. Very exciting times to be a Bee at the moment!

It's him. He was playing Champions League games at 17. Ancelotti believed in him and he played well for him, but as the managerial merry-go-round at Chelsea began successive managers just kept sending him out on loan. Seemed like he had a big falling out with Rodgers at Swansea (as loanees often seem to) and never really got back on track. He's got great vision and will be a good signing for Championship level I think, could see him in the Carrick mould.

This was him at 17, so the talent's definitely there. Will do him good to finally put Chelsea behind him I think.

Guiedtti would be the signing of the season surely but I can only see him signing for a big Euro club, especially after helping Sweden win the under 21 Championships.
