Apparently Wolves want Sam Johnstone from Man United.

They can fuck off he's coming to Preston :box:

James Montgomery, Telford's goalkeeper training with Wolves. As we are now down to our third-choice keeper and a lad from the deli counter at the Co-Op who's got curiously big hands, I can see us signing him up.
Young Jack. or Bogetta Dan?

Doubt anything will happen, he would be 2nd choice for us where as he could start every week at Preston

Agreed. If I was any young player, I'd avoid clubs like Derby, Boro, Hull, etc and us and go for clubs where they might get more game time. I suspect both MK Dons and Bristol City will get top PL talent this coming season. Doesn't always work....Boro had that odious - but exceptionally talented - little shit, Bamford, last season. Is he still there?

Even in jest you know that's bollocks.

Wonder if an extra 20k will turn up for the last game if you get promoted.

As for us, really happy with our business. We had a trialist last night from Spurs who looked good as well, young centre mid.

He was so highly thought of at once. Remember kept hearing that Everton were sniffing around him. Worried he is going to be another also ran kicking about in D1. Hopefully a good long stint at one club will help his development but he must be 21/22 by now?

Liam McAlinden gone on loan to Shrewsbury, we now have less strikers than MK Dons and Bristol City

Dicko and Afobe?

Our plan is clearly to play Flint up front, going by the reported big bids for defenders.

Cardiff have bid £1m for Johnny Russell. We don't want or need to sell, so it'll take a lot more than that.

Yeah, hopefully we'll bring someone in but if any of them get injured were in trouble. Not even sure who our 3rd striker is at the moment, maybe Bradley Reid some kid we got from Wrexham...

People turning up to a 'big game' shocker. Much like Wembley or Cardiff appearances it brings out the lapsed fans, yes I'd love em to be there every week but that's life.

Imagine you getting 20k home fans for a game, has it happened, ever?

Jem Karacan's transfer to Galatasaray now confirmed by the Turkish club.

Although known for a long time now, means we've lost our captain, vice-captain and player of the season from last year this Summer. 36 years at Reading between them. Certainly looking like a new squad next year.

Gutted to lose Jem tbh, the one genuinely likeable player we've had over recent seasons.

Bit off topic, but how many do you think you'll get opening game? 30k+ including us?

With a few new stars at Wednesday, playing them first could mean a blessing in disguise or a 'lambs to the slaughter' scenario. While I hope for the first, at the moment, I fear the latter! Should be a good day out anyway and I reckon we will give them a game.

It's a gamble, but one I think will pay off. He was really, really bad at the start of his loan spell at Vitesse but turned it around in the last two months.
