True enough.

Still a good deal I think, he’s a good Championship centre half. Which makes it more infuriating that we’re just letting him walk away, but there we are.

Doesn’t sound close our end though? Article just gone out saying that all of yourselves, Blackburn and Wigan are battling for his signature.
All of our usual ITK’s have said it’s basically done this morning. Usually doesn’t take long to be announced after that happens.

Apparently we’ve accepted a bid from Stoke for Liam Lindsay in the region of £2-3 million. He’s in the last year of his contract, he wants away and we’ll be making a profit (albeit not a great one) but I still can’t help but feel we’re getting shafted yet again.

I assumed it was a wind up Craig?

Confirmed.

Actually quite pleased with it. Obviously a massive step-up but completely trust Bowyer and Steve Gallen, every signing last season was spot on so I’m not going to argue with their judgement and supposedly been watching him for quite a while and considered a move for him in January.

Looks like you're manager is off.

For £200k its worth a gamble for you I'd say, no one here begrudges him the move. 50 goals in 100 games or whatever it is and we got our league status back.

He still needs some fine tuning, despite his goals he still missed an awful lot of chances for us and he can drift in and out of games - He needs to learn to stay in the box and not wander around outside it too much! If you can iron out these little things which he needs to improve on, then he who knows how good he will be for you.

He works bloody hard though, his pressing and energy relieves so much pressure off the rest of the team, he's decent in the air and has nerves of steel when taking penalties. Scored 10 from 11 for us and the one he missed was in an FA Trophy game which we won anyway. He also played every game for us in the league last season, he didn't get injured once.

Good Luck to him, he has potential if he Charlton can work on him. The move would've been a bit more suited if you was still in League One but we shall see.

Would imagine it’s Martin Ling as he’s DoF there....
That would be correct, but Bonne was always going to leave this summer after the last 2 excellent seasons he's had for us.

Looking like it mate. Talks in the morning apparently, all a big mess.

Wondering if he’s regretting his decision already.

Yeah, doubt I’ll listen. He’s been on with Jim White a few times and he just let’s him push his bullshit without ever challenging him. He’ll just go on and defame Bowyer, blame everyone but himself, insist he’s doing everything to sell the club and White will allow him.

Yoann Barbet appears to be joining us on a three year deal. He left Brentford after his contract expired. Good signing for us if true.

I just read that Barbet said he's leaving Brentford for something 'different' and 'interesting', so he goes half an hour down the road to Loftus Road...

He was never going to be good enough to get a big step up in club, he mainly left for 1) more money but also 2) wanted to play more, and was only ever really a sub for us

He’s a good player, and I’d much rather he stayed with us, but understand why he’d go

Patrick Bauer, confirmed, three year deal.

If we can also bring in Muric on loan then we'll have added that much needed presence at the back that cost us at times last season.

Should be a good battle between him and Storey for the shirt.

Confirmed.

Charlton royalty after Wembley, treat him well.

Read that he was offered double what we were prepared to offer, embarrassing.

Blackburn fans suddenly realising they're a top half L1/ bottom half Championship side with zero weight behind them.

Took them a while.

When you are getting your wages doubles it's hardly a difficult decision is it. Also Preston will finish higher than you next season.

Bullshit will they. We'll be top half and they'll be bottom half

You'll be bottom 5 at best with Bonne and Taylor up top. Preston have been outsiders for the play offs for the last 2/3 seasons, have a good manager, a stable set of good young players and are strengthening.
