Walsall are just very well coached, excellently in fact. They know how to play a bit themselves but are also good at stopping people playing against them.

On paper, there are teams with better players in this league. But it just goes to show that a team where everybody knows their job and does it 7/10 every week, it can really take you far.

It was 98% of an excellent away performance. One bit of good fortune with the deflection for the first goal (not to take anything away from Cheltenham though) and the momentum is with them and we probably start flapping a little bit, leading to the equaliser. Can't be too annoyed though, Cheltenham are a good side and I was impressed with them. Performance was good even if its two points lost in hindsight.

We are one point closer to that 80-84ish point mark with plenty of games to go - that's the important thing. If we play like we did yesterday in away games then we will win more often than not.

Without doubt but also having the best and most effective loan signing in League Two up until January somewhat helps.

Good team Bradford, we were beaten by the better team last night no doubt, and I would expect Bradford to get automatic promotion. We huffed and puffed as best we could, needed Grant Smith to keep us in it second half but ultimately their possession and more clinical attacking play did for us.

Onwards and upwards, turn of the century Bradford were in the Premier league, we were in Isthmian League Div 1, so I’m enjoying seeing us play and complete against teams like Bradford

Before we scored there was an earnest discussion among me and the lads I sit with around the best team to come to Whaddon Road this season. Notts County were the stand outs going forward but we scored 3 goals against them. My exact words to my mate, "we're not scoring 3 goals against these".

We then scored two and even had a chance for a third in 4 minutes. One time I wouldn't have minded eating my words.

In all seriousness though, it's easy to see why Walsall are top. They are the best team in the division. As leedsvaliant says, there are better players at other clubs, but no team as good.

I'm not confident. Second half yesterday showed that our players think the season is over and are therefore coasting. Plus we've been poor against teams around us this season, have already been beaten by Morecambe and Harrogate at home this season. If Carlisle can get themselves ahead they'll win.

Nailed it.

We don’t always beat barrow.

And we certainly won’t be now you’ve clowned it with that. You never learn.

Told you so.

And my God what an awful pitch Barrow play on. Why are so many pitches in this league so bad? Very tinpot indeed and I'm glad ours is of a top standard and not tinpot like most down here.

Hire a bloody proper groundsman.

You said we always beat barrow. We don’t. We’ve drawn with them a couple of times.

You’re going to love morecambe’s pitch then

Barrow have never turned up against us in the 8 fixtures we've had against them since they came back up and for us to do the double over them this season must really have depressed them after the terrible season we've had.

It’s like us with Harrogate. They must feel like hell is going to freeze over before they beat us. If they can’t beat us this season considering how shit we are, when will they? Certainly not next season.

It was the story of our season really, started off well and were the better team for the first half but don't take our chances when on top and get caught out at the back. Then we huff and puff trying to get back into the game without causing many problems and Carlisle defended well with bodies on the line when needed. Need another 6/7/8 points from somewhere which should see us safe for the season and we can forget about it all apart from that night out at Stamford Bridge. Then I can put my feet up and watch cricket and the Tour de France while Whing gets to work overhauling this squad which has gone stale since last season.

Overhaul your team with what?

You should feel over the moon every week at even being a football league club.

Punching far far ahead of your real level.

I’d love for us to feel over the moon at being a football league club and not have the constant threat and worry of losing our football league status. At least they are comfortable. Wouldn’t you love to be in their position on 37 points?
