Im not sure you know. I agree that they were toothless up top and defensively they aren’t great but they played some neat football. Mainly at the start of the game and then in that 15 min spell they had before we bagged our 3rd. That all said, as mentioned in the before post, we could have scored 6 or 7 and that wouldn’t have flattered us.

It’s weird being 2nd ain’t it. Don’t really know what to do but sit back and have a few whiskies tonight!
We were second a few weeks ago. Seems like a distant dream now.

We've scored but the ref gives a freekick because the Carlisle keeper can't claim a ball. Dreadful decision.
Exactly the same happened to us at Carlisle last season, and we then inevitably conceded an equaliser with virtually the last kick of the game.

Edit: Actually I could be getting that disallowed goal mixed up with Salford away but I think it was Carlisle though.

Had a chance to look at Bradford's disallowed goal.

There's not a huge amount in it, but nevertheless, Songo still looks pretty definitively offside here. Close it may have been but don't think Bradford can have any complaints with the linesman's decision.

Bradford probably only feel that an injustice was done because they assume the foul was given for the challenge on Howard, and I thought it was that too, but it wasn't, it was the offside.

Quick look at the Bradford forum, they ain't happy. One thing I don't get is they seem to think it's a specific criticism of their players that they weren't wound up enough by former Bantam Jordan Gibson scoring against them. Why would they care? Hating former players is a fan thing, not a player thing; players may find motivation in the connection created with their own fans but they also know that can all end one quiet summer's day when everyone is on holiday and they will be forgotten about. The Bradford players, if any have been at the club long enough to remember Gibson will know fine well the high possibility that one day they too will be an ex-Bradford player facing their old club and mocked by their old fans, and have probably been at other clubs in the past and experienced facing an old club already. They're more likely to just understand why Gibson celebrated in front of the Bradford fans than be motivated by it.

Was it definitely disallowed for offside? Seeing it live I assumed it was the foul, but seeing that still if it was for offside then it looks fair enough.

I’ll be interested to see a replay to see if Patrick was onside. He looked it to me.

I thought it was for a foul on Howard too, would be soft but we see that sort of challenge result in a foul on the keeper all the time. Heard it might have been offside and so I looked at the replay. Reckon now offside was most likely as I think it was the linesman that made the decision.

Can any Bradford fans explain the background to the chant to Gibson about his dad?

We are absolute garbage. Unless we pull four top class signings out the bag (we won't) we'll finish bottom five, I'm absolutely certain of it.

Adams is a joker too. Cannot stand the bloke and the fans are beginning to turn.

When he was here, his dad used to be all over our hashtag saying Gibson should be playing etc. Pain in the arse but not particularly a big deal. Think our fans just wanted to slag off Gibson and that was the first thing they thought of.

How we didn’t score at least a couple in that second half I’ll never know. Our new striker hit the bar from 3 yards out and then missed a one on one. Arghh. Need a striker and a win quick.
To be fair, the one on one was a great save.
It's also fair to say your general attempts at scoring were Cobblers.
All in all though, the bad luck we've suffered during the season was put right today, despite the best efforts of the spindly legged twat of a referee!

Don’t get to carried away Carlisle fans we are terrible, I wouldn’t expect an easy ride like this every week.

We always expected an easy ride against you lot since your only good players of recent years all joined us and that showed today.

Today summed up why we're getting relegated.

We can compete for large parts of the game but the minute we make that individual error that causes a goal the heads go and it's game over. We just have such a lack of experience, particularly in midfield. Jay Spearing was against Tom Pugh and Dan Gallimore today, he's most likely on a lot more than what they are combined. We just can't build a good enough squad with so little money. We are toothless and that isn't helped by the fact we had to sign our main striker because we have so little money.

It will take a miracle to keep us up this year and Keith Hill deserves a statue if he manages it.
Unsure what errors you’re blaming for this result. Your keeper might feel he could do better for Jolley’s opener, but made some good saves before and after. Our second and killer third goal were both down to good football from Rovers.

In terms of your prospects of survival, I’d agree things aren’t looking good. Didn’t think that midfield was your main problem, a lot of good ball reached the danger area but was either snuffed out by our excellent defence or wasted. Don’t think Ross Doohan had a save worthy of the name to make.

Credit to the Scunthorpe fans for their respectful behaviour during the memorial service. Hope you can turn things around but it’s a big ask.

Fair play Salford looked a good side and had clearly done their homework with heavy but fair marking of Azaz in particular, but we were really easy meat all over the pitch.

Our keeper should have kept out the opener, it went through him. Your second goal our inexperienced CM headed the ball straight to your player rather than away. These individual errors just kill the team and make it impossible to compete in games.

We need a good transfer window or that's us done. Unfortunately the process of bringing in players described by one of our directors doesn't fill me with hope.

Anyone fancy a laugh, this video of a group of Bradford fans as their day out goes horribly wrong is worth a watch.

Does feel a bit mean spirited to enjoy the misfortune of other lower league clubs but it's not as though they're in any real trouble they're just mid table after going all out for promotion and also some of them are pretty vile towards Jordan Gibson so it's fun to see it come back to bite them in the arse.

Thinking more the 'your dad's got alzheimers' for the 'vile' comment, but yeah, 'you smelly bastard' was a gem and shouting at a footballer 'I hate you' like a five year old who's been told he has to eat his broccoli creased me.

Love the "what's he doing that for?" when he started to run over and celebrate in front of them.

There's a second one too, different fan, same sort of content, except for it just ends abruptly when Patrick puts us 2-0 up, which is the funniest part of it. Think you can just hear the creator saying 'we're done here' as Patrick wheels away in celebration and the video fades to black.

Aye it’s a sad state of affairs that said they’ve only helped carry you to the dizzy heights of 19th in league 2 although Gibson and Patrick thought they had won the World Cup. As a Carlisle fan I’d be demanding that level of performance every week now to keep you away from the bottom two.

For all the talk of former Bradford players at Carlisle, there were as many former Carlisle players in the Bradford starting line up as vice versa.

Gilliead was really good when on loan with us, a bit surprised that he never kicked on in his career though maybe Scunthorpe ruined him. Watt was alright in a poor team, not massively surprised this is his level but he's still young, might still improve, and Andy Cook is well, Andy Cook.

Gilliead was good 1 game in 6. When he played well he was really good, a nightmare to play against, but for every good game there were 5 games where he was an absolute passenger.

That’s the one we know, without the 1 good game. We may get an ok half now and again. We’ve had him on loan twice before years ago and tbh he looks no different now to then.
