Not sure if Alfie is taking a break, but a big week of fixtures which will have major implications at both ends of the table.

Tuesday 11th March
AFC Wimbledon v Cheltenham Town
Accrington Stanley v Newport County
Colchester United v Port Vale
Grimsby Town v Notts County
Salford City v Chesterfield

Thursday 13th March
Bromley v Walsall

Saturday 15th March
Crewe Alexandra v Doncaster Rovers
Swindon Town v Cheltenham Town
Accrington Stanley v Gillingham
Bradford City v Tranmere Rovers
Carlisle United v AFC Wimbledon
Colchester United v Fleetwood Town
Grimsby Town v Salford City
Morecambe v Barrow
Newport County v Harrogate Town
Notts County v Chesterfield
Port Vale v Milton Keynes Dons

From a Crewe point of view, I'm definitely hoping for draws at Colchester and Grimsby tomorrow evening. Suspect people will have different preferences depending on their clubs position.

Depends on which team turns up. We should gain 6 points, we might only get 2.

Think accy will win and puts them out of it.

And if I ignore the personal view of Carlisle survival and look at it on the ‘points’ side of it I’d say the next week is ‘last chance saloon’ time 3 home games we have to take 6 points out of 9 or we are finished I think.

I think Morecambe have a run of home games so you could also say similar of them.

And hughes bury and bloody burn that f*cking 3 at the back b*llocksp

As I've just posted on the Promotion thread, tonight is the most obvious home win in the history of the game. Get your house, your car, your wife and your kids on it. Easy money!!

Tricky one tonight, Colchester are in decent form, we are unbeaten in 11 I think now but are on a run of draws, would probably take another point tonight heading into 3 home games against bottom half sides.

We're missing Jamie McDonnell for the next three games now due to suspension and an international call up, which is such a massive blow. It's no coincidence that our form since November started when he made it into the side, he is unbelievable and I'm sure he'll be in Forest's first team within a year or two. He gets absolutely everywhere.

The only other midfielder we have available to go there is Arthur Read who, as good as he is, is certainly not the battling defensive midfielder that McDonnell is. Alternatively we change the shape and move away from what has been working so well for the last few months - either option concerns me a little, so I'm not sure we get a result tonight.

Making the journey down to Colchester later for this. Actually somewhat worked in my favour the original getting postponed as couldn’t go to that one.

Two teams with the longest unbeaten runs in the division so clearly a difficult challenge for us but I think also they could say the same. Expecting some more rotation tonight with the likes of John back in the team having been rested at Fleetwood. My guess is first goal probably wins whoever it’s for.

Four changes tonight but the big news is Jayden Stockley back in the reckoning.

No George McEachran for us which is a big loss. Debut for our Faroese lad so he’ll either be stinking or waxing lyrical later on. Must be trusted if Artell is throwing him in against County when Thompson is on the bench.

Any team without Hart,Hackford& Harper gives us a fighting chance

On another note no keeper on the bench is a bold move given our disciplinary record this season you know whose getting a red card tonight now…

Another lucky teams gets to face Notts County B team.

No Jones, McGoldrick on the bench. A few other minor changes but has a feeling of arranging the deckchairs...

The B team need to improve hugely on Saturday's showing especially against an inform side.

No idea what to make of our team tonight - presumably we're playing either of the full backs (Iandolo or Hunt) in central midfield which isn't ideal. Iandolo has been one of our best performers this season at left back and Hunt has been out injured since the end of October I think.

Don't fancy us at all tonight.

You could call this Notts vs Grimsby game a YouTube all stars match, play it at Wembley, and make millions. A horrible but kind of compelling game to watch.

Rubbish game but we grew into that half. Worry if McGoldrick comes on and calms Notts down.

1-0 down at halftime. Not the worst have seen us play but their goal came about from us fannying around with the ball at the back and their lad ran through and finished:

On another note Colchester could make some money charging people for donkey rides on this pitch. One of the worst I can remember.

Surprised at how poor Notts County look, even taking into account their injuries.

I'm not looking forward to hosting Colchester at week on Saturday. I've heard they are a spoiling lot, which we always struggle against, and they are on a terrific run. You would have to fancy them if they make the play offs

It's been a poor, scrappy game. The pitch doesn't help. Feels like we're struggling in the middle with a makeshift midfield and without McDonnell screening I feel we look much more suspect/vulnerable at the back. Will be pleasantly surprised if we keep a clean sheet here.

Well it seems Accrington have a pulse after their lifeless performance at ours. Quite a significant gap to the bottom three now especially at this stage of the season.

Absolutely fucking fantastic this, this is what we want and what would stop them getting so much stick if we could do it regularly. Standard of football has been miles off what we’re capable off but they’ve run themselves into the ground and had the better of it pretty much through that alone.

Also McGoldrick is dicking about at this level and having him available obviously helps.
