Fleetwood at home, they're pretty handy away from home as it seems to suit their style. I think the games where they have more of the ball they tend to lose, the games where they don't have the ball they tend to win. They got a win and a draw against Charlton and Plymouth with about 35% possession - lost to Cheltenham and Wycombe recently with over 55% possession.

I just hope McGoldrick is back for that little bit of craft, also Sibley playing in that 10 role provides a goal threat. I wouldn't be surprised to see this end in a draw though.

Away at Argyle.

Also our easiest game for the next several weeks.

Maybe if there's a severe case of food poisoning, or maybe ebola or something in the Pilgrims' camp we have a chance of not being utterly humiliated.

I think it would take them to forget there was a game on, not bother to turn up and us to get a walk over...other than that I don't hold out too much hope.

The game I'm most worried about is Sheff Weds at home, in front of the cameras, that could be a total humiliation if they are on their game and we crumble.

Afraid our steady away form has deserted us, no goals scored in the last 3 on the road. Can't see us getting anything at your place 2-0 to you

The Wednesday game is just a nightmare in waiting, they have got better since we last played them (and well deserve their league place), and we have done quite the opposite (and well deserve ours). Can't imagine it will be good TV either, jiust a walkover.

How we (sincerely) cheered when we finally won a corner in the 80-th something minute at Hillsborough, even if we never managed a shot on target.

Can't imagine how bad the team morale must be, now the new manager bounce.....happened despite the results..but is now over.

Maybe if Wycombe have a bad day we could just nick a point against them, but otherwise I'm not expecting us to get anything pointswise, maybe not even goalswise, for the next month,

It's all shit

We’ve played Ipswich 14 times away from home in our history. 13 defeats and 1 draw. The last draw was all the way back in 1954. Now that is the definition of a bogey team!

Aside from the above, we’ve had a relatively good season to date (we’re about where I expected us to be if not slightly lower), but injuries are starting to derail us once again just like in the early months of the season. One of our best players in Tom Bayliss limped off the pitch on Saturday towards the end and there’s a rumour going around that he left the stadium on crutches. Terrible for us if so. Unsure whether we’ll have Killian Phillips back who has been a class above since joining from Crystal Palace on loan. Without doubt he’ll be playing week in week out in the Prem in a few years time.

With all the above currently going against us, odds would seemingly be stacked against us. However, Steve Cotterill is our manager. One of the biggest shithouses in the Football League so if anybody can get us a point or even 3, then it’s this man.

I suspect we’ll waste time from minute one which normally I would be against but I think we really have to here with what we have available to us and what with Ipswich’s ridiculous squad for this level. I can see us doing something here as it’s typical Shrewsbury Town and Steve Cotterill.

Ipswich Town 1-1 Salop

(Come on Sheffield Wednesday for Friday also)

Me and a couple of other fans I know have actually contacted Sky to let them know our displeasure at them selecting our game for live broadcast, it’s a fucking joke no one wants to watch one sided shite like that and us showing ourselves up like we did at home v Exeter earlier this season. That was pathetically one sided and this will probably be even worse. Neutrals want to see a half decent contest.

Surely Barnsley v Ipswich or Peterborough v Derby would have been by far the better picks. It’s also an absolute ball ache for all the Wednesday fans travelling for a Sunday lunchtime kick off.

Just leave us alone to be quietly appalling without everyone watching.

It’s Sheffield Wednesday not Bayern Munich. They do lose games. Give it a go. You might beat them.

Oh I’ll absolutely back the lads to give their best and be there supporting the team as always. I just don’t want other people watching.

But tbh there’s a reason we’ve picked up 3 points in 15 games, and I doubt things are about to improve.

Our players are starting to look like they’ve given up, especially as they now know we think they’re shit having sacked the bloke who signed a load of them, mainly for the reason that he signed a load of them.

Countless times over the years I’ve seen home and away bankers, and it goes the other way. Complacency from the other team, and perhaps you with nothing to lose.

True, it could happen. Maybe one in 20 times we shock them, but at least 10 in 20 they thrash us. Would be like a big FA Cup shock the way the two teams stack up against each other though.

I still don’t get why it has to be on the telly? There are much more attractive options in League 1 that weekend.

Away at Cheltenham. My first in person away game of the season. Shocking performance from me this year but it's just not worked out this season for me.

Think it will be a close game, both teams are inconsistent and quite evenly matched on paper. Would take a point before kick off but if we lose I'll be really annoyed.

Just think how good you would feel though Chris if you beat them and its televised!

We appear to be down to the bare bones squad-wise, with several development squad kids filling out the bench.

Vokes and Wheeler are both injured, meaning no aerial presence up front, so we’ll have to (shock horror!) play out from the back and keep it on the deck.

Unless we just play for the set pieces and chuck our CBs up at every opportunity…but obviously that’s pretty risky.

Not confident. Oh well.

Saw Accys keeper Jensen got sent off again. Quality keeper but sounds like he has Lucas Covolan psycho tendencies. All of which is to say I’d love us to try get him in the summer.

Nothing really changed at the bottom as all the teams in the relegation scrap have all lost. No doubt Burton will be fired up to prove a point on Saturday against us after tonight.

Decent night for us, Morecambe I fancied tonight at home so that’s them with 9 to play 11 behind, 4 wins for them looks less likely and that’s if we lost all 10.

Accrington blew their game in hand and Burton could be fired up but equally could take a knock confidence wise.

Win Saturday and it’s done for us but may even have done enough already.

Honestly the relegation scrap stopped being a concern of ours a while ago. I think the bottom four will struggle to get to our existing points total never mind if we pick up the odd one here and there.

Cheltenham downwards for me and I think Cheltenham are close to getting over the line.

Looking more that way, Morecambe have a couple of winnable ones including tonight which they got panned in but their run in then looks very very tough, can’t see them getting 44 points.

MK doesn’t look too bad of a run in but then Accrington have a tricky one.

That said I’d be annoyed if we lost the next 10! But that pessimism is part and parcel of being a Vale fan!

And not getting in the play offs isn't progression with the monies laid out by you lot.

You'd be happy with 7th/8th after being top 6 all year?

Your transfer policy seems heavily built on loans. In terms of players you own, are you stronger (progressed) compared to 12 months ago? Genuine question, I don't know much about your squad.

Obviously I'm not counting any chickens, but I honestly think we're safe now. No team at the bottom seems to be finding any form. Morecambe's big hope was their home form and they've just been battered by Charlton.

It's going to take the bottom 4 winning at least 3 games more than us in the last 10 - I just can't see that happening.

You’ll be ok I think now, 10 games to get a couple of wins should be easily achievable.

I'm not sure how we lost that we should have been 3 up before we gifted you the first. Could have been 6-6 if everyone took their chances.
I expect this to be a fixture next season though
