Overall we were slightly better than argyle but overall probably a draw a fair result. However the only stat that matters is they nicked a goal. We were wasteful in final third. Argyle amd us imo both should finish top half. For the argyle fans singing re promotion, dream on. Np sour grapes but argyle rinded me of wycombe and stevenage.

Brilliant 2nd half comeback by Fleetwood and a thoroughly deserved point. A draw was probably a fair result for both teams, certainly in the first half the Black Cats were in the ascendancy and yet Fleetwood spurned a gilt edged chance and within minuted the visitors were ahead. I thought the penalty that put them ahead had put the match beyond us but this Fleetwood team is made of strong stuff and there is nothing like scoring an equaliser in 90 +7 minutes. MOM for Sunderland ,their goalie who made3 superb saves
A good run to continue to build on, hopefully we will start to get some of our 1st team players back before the end of the month

Agree with that. We were poor after the first half an hour or so and you could have nicked it. Won’t be going anywhere fast if we carry on as we have been. Even when we were winning at the start of the season it wasn’t convincing. Although if Bannan’s penalty goes in I think it could have been a route.

I wouldn't be so sure about Plymouth not having a shot at promotion via the playoffs. Winning ugly away from home after being under the cosh is an ability that can take you far. Our kids didn't have enough experience to unlock them after being wasteful early on against the best defence I've seen this season.

thank you for your kind words. they started singing that song last week, and I hate it. But I think it is an exuberant reaction from people who got given their first razor recently to the nightmare of a team that shipped 80 goals. I think it is this fact that made most commentators predict we be around relegation. last year we got our first away win around Feb or March. i don’t think we will be in the playoff, we are too small a squad and will run out of steam. And quite frankly already we have had two home games this year we managed to draw, and so dropped four points. But we won’t be near relegation either. Lowe has learnt. We have a much more solid and experienced defence, Coops in goal has 40 plus games behind him (though it sounds like he had a below par game today) and our attacking intent is less kamikaze yet more direct and effective. fans I knew at the game thought you were a good side.

i understand the frustration re time wasting. If it is generally pinching a few seconds taking a throw in or whatever I think that is okay. If it feigning injury that is never okay. The bugbear I have is the six second rule when the keeper has ball in hand, this needs to be enforced more. It was good to hear that Coops was cautioned at 62 minutes. The two instances we had this year the keeper was either never cautioned so carried on doing it, or it was in injury time so too late.

I only watched first 60 mins as i had a house viewing however i thought we were very comfortable albeit you did have the odd good chance we also had a few good efforts saved by your goalie in the first half mcgeady should of made it 2-0. We missed Flanagan due to suspension and that was evident with Bailey Wright giving the penalty away. Both penalties looked very soft that were given but being 2-0 up we should have been better at seeing the game out but this young team will learn from that. Morton scored who scored for Lincoln at the SOL last season so he likes playing us and he looks a decent player and you battled away for the point which you got. For a few matches now our fans have said that LJ making a late sub when one goal ahead & going 5 at the back will cost us sooner or later as it invites pressure did exactly that so we need to make sure when ahead we stay ahead, as Wigan done yesterday to be fair.

Charlie broke his duck for Wigan i see and bagged two goals, not seen the highlights so i can’t comment but Charlie can score when put on a plate which is his biggest asset, very good in that penalty area on set pieces and crosses just his all round game was poor which is my only criticism of the lad.

This post is like war and peace so i apologise, Ipswich finally won which will be good for them and the league has some surprise teams up there, this league one season is very competitive this season i must say.

As said above we could have beaten Pompey 3 or 4-1 yesterday and it wouldn’t have flattered us. Thankfully we reverted back to a 4-5-1 after our pumping at home to Lincoln.

It’s not even been mentioned but there was no Wes Hoolahan yesterday and when I saw he wasn’t even in the squad I worried we wouldn’t create anything but we were excellent on the day. Everyone knows their roles, leaders all over the pitch and proper shithouse away tactics which is what you need to get a result at places like Fratton Park.

Apart from the top three at the moment this league looks all over the place and very hard to call.

Wasnt impressed with Ipswich, title favourites so was expecting a bit more. I wasn’t impressed with us either. A point would have been a fairer scoreline. Not seen if there was a push from Bonne for the goal and if our goal was off/onside but we just seemed to struggle with the final ball and overall creativity. Ipswich sitting back with 11 behind the ball all second half made it a frustrating afternoon indeed.

Good win for us at home to Oxford yesterday. First half they controlled things, but to be honest, but for a couple of decent long distance efforts they never looked like scoring. Second half we stopped fannying around with the ball in our own defensive third and scored from a decent punt up the field. We then saw out the game quite comfortably.

Oxford will no doubt feel hard done by that the handball by Will Boyle just after we scored was seen by all but the ref and lino, but I think we came away deserved winners in the end.

Mattie Pollock has slotted into Tozer's role beautifully and is arguably a much better defender.

Only Wigan, Sunderland and Rotherham in our next 3 games...

I'm not sure on the whole rule, many times you see a team try to play advantage and it's pulled back if it's lost quickly, but if a shot gets off then ultimately they've had the full advantage.

Yes, I thought the bookies had the odds a bit wrong. It's clear that the Cowleys didn't finish the transfer window with the squad they wanted. They have no choice but to try to find something that works as an attacking force.

Not a happy crowd on Saturday. Not just the quality of football but the club have had problems with ticketing, long queues at the turnstiles, then lack of beer and food in the ground, power cuts and no hot water in the sinks. All for £24! Basically, the fans' long-awaited return to the ground has been an absolute shambles. This is crazy when you consider that we've been owned for the last five years by former Disney boss Michael Eisner.
