Genuinely part of the reason I'm glad we made it to Saturday.

Being relegated at home in 2015 was horrific.

Yeah I still remember our last relegation in 2005, a 0-0 draw at home to Rochdale. It was honestly one of the most somber moments I’ve ever experienced in football. So I’m glad we’re away too.

We actually managed a painless home relegation one time, because everyone was too crap at maths to realise that the permutations of the teams above us meant we were already down with 4 games to go.

So there’s your answer - just be crap at maths and you too can walk blissfully into the sunset. Sadly in the case of Saturday, there isn’t much room for ambiguity.

Yeah, losing football league status while the continued existence of the club almost appeared to be a pipe dream.

It's along time ago, but I just recall complete silence at full time. Could have been 30 seconds or two minutes, I've not a clue, but that was actually the last time we were relegated. We've been through it since then, but still, that's kind of mad, and I pray we extend it.

Fuck me, I hope Vale as bad as they've been billed all season in these parts!

We have spells at times when we are decent but always guarantee a catastrophic error then we collapse like a pack of cards, and lack fight.

What made it even worse for us was that Mansfield, who relegated us, were playing in our away kit as they forgot to bring their own. We hit the crossbar 3 times in that match too and their emergency loan keeper made a worldy of a save.

Just a bit. Reckon your boys will be motivated to drag Burton down with you? Charlie Adam strikes me as the type who'd want to do just that. Or is that wishful thinking :dk:
There'll be no letting up from Fleetwood, Charlie Adam will see to that. Lousy situation for both of you, may the best team win and stay up !

How have you gone down with players like Wiredu, Lawal, Lynch, Mayor, Broom, Heneghan, Rooney and Stockley? Most would walk into our team (well Mayor used to be quality but I havent seen him for a while).

There are more players at Fleetwood that id take here, than any other of the sides down there.

Agreed. They have a far superior squad to the others going down.

We played Fleetwood 3 times this season, and in each encounter both clubs had different managers!

The fact that Charlie Adam might actually have a bit about him as a manager came a bit too late really. Off field ''stuff'' probably hasn't helped.

Still, at least they won the UAE Second Division!
