Getting to that part of the season where the weather gets proper shit and therefore what better time to play Sat/Tues/Sat and so churn up those pitches even more?

Big sexy banana skin for us as 24th in the form table faces 1st (on the basis of the last 6 games).

Not sure what’s happening at Exeter right now (injuries maybe?) but they’re still solidly mid-table overall, so nothing to be taken for granted.

I think the worst we’re going to do is a draw here, since it’s written in stone that we cannot lose a game till Dec 14th, when we’ll crumble to Ainsworth’s Shrewsbury and a 98th minute sickener. It’s the law.

Yeah we've got a few injuries but then hasn't everyone. Also in the middle of a run of tough games, the top 6 in 6 games, so no surprise our form has dipped.
Expect a tough game but think we can get something- last season this fixture was our turning point, so no reason we can't do the same again.
Will Hartridge play? Not sure what reception he will get.
P.S. Pitch will be fine, it is one of the best in the league

Another home game, we can't keep getting away with this.

Heads are going to be lost when they find out we have 2 away games between now and the new year. A whopping 4 home games!

Questions must be asked on how we have so many home games compared to others in the league. Must be paying them off.... :O

4-1 at bookies on Mansfield turning us over.
Thomason out suspended for this, So Super Ian Evatt will go once again with a midfield two off Sheehan and Matete.
Get your Christmas paid for and get a few bob on Mansfield

I would recommend anyone betting for Mansfield to win at the minute, we look completely toothless without Lee Gregory, Deji and Flint are doubts after missing Saturday so that’s our two best defenders out.

If those two are back we should be defensively solid but I still don’t see where any goals are coming from, we’ve scored 1 in 4 and that was a beauty of a volley out of nowhere.

One could argue even with Gregory in the side you couldn't score in a brothel ;)

One off that though, was never a problem beforehand, not helped by Will Evans form dropping off, been brilliant for us but it’s almost like he’s trying to hard when he gets a chance at the minute.

I was on a wind up. You defo deserved something for the amount of chances we gave you, but only remember 1 shot from Evans where Okonkwo had to do something. It'll come good again i'm sure.

Course it will, i mean what’s encouraging is the losses have been 1-0 not like we’ve been battered, swings and roundabouts though.

Wigan had 25 efforts at goal a month or so ago and we had 4 - and we won 2-1.

We also had successive 2-1 wins over cambridge and shrewsbury when we didn’t really deserve to win either.

Of course it’ll come good again, we were always going to have this run at some stage and it’s been expected, we just need some attacking options uptop/AM pretty sharpish in January

Yet another away game. I reckon this is 6 in 7, with 5 of the next 7 away as well.

We have a terrible record against Steve Evans sides, he always seems to be able to squeak 1-0 against us.

Injury wise, they've cleared up in the last week or so. Ring, Draper, Hackett and Jackson all got some minutes at the weekend so it's only the long termers out now (Bayliss, Hamer and Walker (who was back in the squad on Saturday but that was only to fill the bench, he's still some way off being fit enough for minutes). House was suspended against Wrexham and ill for the weekend game.

We'll make changes - probably Jackson for Montsma, Jefferies for Ring, McGrandles for Hamilton, House (if fit) for Draper and Cadamateri for Makama.

We're still not tight enough defensively, I can't work out if that's because of the tweaks to the system from last season to make us better going forward or individually/collectively in defence we're just a little off the pace. We need to get back to keeping clean sheets again.

Hartridge will almost certainly not play I’d say, unless someone pulls up injured in training. He’s rarely played since signing, and often doesn’t even make the squad. I’d be surprised if he lasts long with us.

We can’t make any changes except those that are enforced, we only have 15 fit players (one suspended, ten injured) and three of them are keepers; three of those fit enough to be in the squad are only just back from injury themselves.
We’ll have virtually no bench at all…

Shows the difference. We are playing a makeshift Ed Francis in his position tonight, with Yfeko injured and Purrington seemingly out of favour. Could do with him right now!

First home game since the 26th October. Quite a big game. Get a win and all of a sudden things don't look too bad, despite how poorly we have been playing.
We looked quite good in the cup at the weekend trialling a different system with Coventry further up the pitch. Would like to see us stick with it and play more on the front foot.

The team and bench in Saturday was everyone we have at the moment. Mularky suspended for the game at Charlton so that's our only experienced defender out (he played last season at Grimsby). Probably replaced by Tanimu the billion Schilling man.
We are hoping to have a couple back but then we'll have a couple more out.

I would love to go but I won't get back from work in time to get there. Bloody annoying.

Is there anywhere to park for Reading that isn't a total rip off and isn't going to take an hour to get out of after the game?

Started ok in pre-season. Got injured opening day was out for about six weeks. He is neither a midfielder or attacker and we have two or three like him who Evatt plays. When he does come on the system we are currently playing simply does not suit him. Awful at tracking back and not a threat upfront.
He is not on his own, some of the signings Evatt made in the summer have been out injured or simply cannot break into the first team.

Is it 11 consecutive wins for Wycombe? That’s unreal and they’ll probably fancy their chances tonight.

That said, I have a sneaking feeling we’ll turn up tonight and get a result. Not sure on the lineup but suspect we’ll continue with Francis at the back unless Woods is suspended again!?

So much will depend on how we cope with Wycombe’s danger players, naturally. Kone is this season’s surprise package so I hope Crama keeps him quiet. Reckon we will go with Alli supporting Magennis and if we can get Niskanen plenty of the ball we’ll be a threat down the right.

2-1 City

Mate of mine parked at Reading Green Park station when we played them last season. Only a 15 minute or so walk from the ground, easy enough to get out after too

After Saturdays drama with our keeper scoring, we welcome a jekll and Hyde Bristol Rovers side.

No doubt Ruel Sotiriou and Shaq Forde will both score. As in consistent as both were for us, they’re an upgrade on the useless shit we have in our attack now.

If we score first, we might get something, if not it could be another long night like it was last week against Huddersfield.

Very similar position to us. 0-0 written all over it, which is why it’ll end 4-5

Back in Chris’ fish shop after last seasons delight (both football and fish) Hopefully if I repeat the experience by the letter, the result will be the same?
