Well i thought Evatt could not surprise me as a manager but tonight he surpassed himself.
He changed our wingbacks over to play with their wrong feet. Schon was ok but Cogley was skinned time and time again and that led to Mansfields goal. It was the only chance that Mansfield mustered the first half while we had a couple off efforts that the keeper would have expected to save.
Second half we went down hill and neither team looked like they would add to the score until Adaboyojo missed his second open goal of the night.....He really is poor.
Collins did not seem to be at the races and we never offered anything going forward. Evatt made 4 subs just after the hour mark....He basically took our two slowest players and both wingbacks off and injected some much needed pace and it shook Mansfield who could not deal with the new pace and Boateng who looked decent tonight did a stupid challenge on i think Williams and was his second booking.
Down to 10 men Mansfield looked knackered and could not live with the added pace mainly TU TU on the left hand side.
We looked another team that last half hour full of pace and energy. I am certain with 11 we would still have got something out the game maybe not a win but i do not think we would have lost either.
Charles needs to be starting every game and with Thomason back at the week-end and a few now back from injury Evatt will have some thinking to do before Saturday.

That was very similar too the Lincoln game. Another hole win without being too impressive. We are solid though.
Massive shame for Callum Burton getting injured he's been brilliant since replacing Arthur. Old man Chomp needs to survive for a few weeks.

Bottom of the league away at the weekend. Get on a Burton winn

Obviously disappointing to lose a two goal lead, but pleased how we played considering our personnel. Thought Crama was immense again, and not really that impressed with any of Wycombes players, though was a good move for their second.
Good game overall, would have been a good watch for a neutral (hello, Sky...)

Meh, annoying but an all round deserved win for bolton for me, who could and should’ve been a few goals to the good in the first half but were denied by luck, bad finishing and great keeping.

Even after our goal bolton missed a comical open net which id have put away.

During all of this though, was the home ref, who consistently gave bolton everything, it happens it’s football - sometimes you get them, sometimes you don’t - when you don’t get them don’t go sliding in on a lad on the halfway line when on a fucking yellow - he needs to come boateng for that.

Cba explaining the ref but we fell apart - there’s stags fans and media suggesting we were going to get the win, don’t believe it - if we’ve cost ourselves there.

Wrexham’s scriptwriters playing it nicely with the late sickener there - they’ve been warned not to overdo it as a narrative device though, otherwise people start to get suspicious.

Still, the ending played well with the viewer focus groups in Bumfuck, Montana - and that’s what counts.

I agree with the Wxm fans that losing to Burton would be good for story development - the viewers can relate to a few tales of hardship, after all life isn’t all plain sailing!!!!!!!

Already there’s some good storylines being worked on for final day even though it’s a long way off.

Favourite at the moment is:

* us to go into final day level on points at the top
* we are both winning by the end, but Wxm concede in the second half
* however, miraculously the EFL discover on the day that our Kazahstani billionaire owner has been financing us through fraudulent means, someone from the EFL runs on the pitch at full time in a Deadpool costume and declares our results null and void - Wxm are champions!

Fuck me this performance tonight is as bad as ive ever seen and that's not an exaggeration. Making bang average teams look like word beaters once again.

Lump on us for relegation its easy money

I'll back you up here, that was easily one of the worst performances I have seen from a visiting team here for a very long time, certainly since we came back to this level last season.

You allowed us to tear you to shreds with error after error, thankfully we managed to kill the game before half time and if it wasn't for Griffiths in goal it would've been more. Taylor Moore had a proper stinker and I was amazed he wasn't subbed at half time.

I don’t think people will really appreciate how bad we were tonight. I don’t think I’ve ever seen us play that bad.

It was honestly like seeing someone play fifa and not knowing the controls.

Just fold the club, i'd rather that than go into Peteborough in the state we're in.

The bar is quite low, but I hope you can push it lower....

We are just not good enough. I've spewed this in multiple forums now, but the last two seasons when we've struggled it's felt like we had enough ability to do better and just weren't getting it out, and ultimately we did. This year the squad just isn't good enough, we're powderpuff everywhere, can be OK at the back but have a habit of imploding, no-one with any presence in midfield, and a set of strikers that wouldn't have looked out of place in our most average of non-league sides.

I don't like Monk, he's the most uninspiring manager I think we've had in the 30 years I've been going, but in his defence I don't think anyone could keep this squad in the division. We will be desperate in January and probably throw some money at it, but I struggle to see it paying off as there's too much to do.

Monumental game Saturday, but Ainsworth will do a number on us for sure, and on my birthday too to really rub salt into the wound.

Talking with some Tykes on the way out of the ground...after we'd managed to grind out, yet another home win...and we all agreed, we're nothing special to watch.

But...we also ALL agreed...if you keep on winning at home (no matter HOW...) - and also keep getting the odd few points here & there away...you're gonna be right up there at the end!

Barnsley! Good team, good fans too (the ones we met anyway)....and if we can beat the likes of Wycombe, Mansfield, Lincoln etc....regardless of how ....we've got a good chance of being in the PO's - at least!

Personally! I don't think we're good enough, or more importantly...READY, to go up YET!
(SEE: what's happening at Luton...they were the same as us....good enough on the pitch possibly - but not everywhere else)
We'll see.... Either way, we'll take any scenario over where we've come from!

On a decent run now after another solid win. Our defence and midfield is top end at this level but our forwards are lower league one level (being kind to a couple).January will show how much the owners want autos if they bring in someone like Joe Taylor as rumoured.

Well done to Mansfield who came away from home and played the game how it should be. Apart from directly after the sending off when the keeper fell to the floor feigning injury so Clough could get the group to re-group and try and form a plan they never played the dark arts.
Good to see a team come and have a go

Steve bloody Evans.

Jackson off after 5 minutes of his return with a broken nose, House off injured in the second half, Erhahon and Darikwa both suspended for Saturday. A nightmare evening on that front.

We've seriously got to tighten up in both boxes, we're chasing games a lot this season - we've fallen behind in 11 of our 17 league games (although we're the third best in the league in points recovered from losing positions) - and up front we just don't have that clinical nature about us. Frustrating.

Lincoln were unlucky to not get a point last but neither side looked like troubling the top six.

We finally had a full squad to choose from but looked completely out of confidence and our play had little pattern.
Yes we worked harder than in recent games so that's a plus but it's hard to see what the plan is.

We need a good result at Blackpool to give the fans some belief, the atmosphere last night was really poor until the 2nd goal went in.

Don't anyone believe the attendance figure, I bet there were only about five and a half thousand home fans. Yes it was cold but season ticket holders are staying away because the football has been shite.

Or Calderwood or Ling or Thompson.

Although maybe it's Herve's quote that best sums things up at the moment "I am sorry for next week".

Either way, Monk's reign is weird. Spent a long time looking like he'd only applied because the Job Centre said he'd lose his benefits. Then seems fully invested in something that was never going to work, before ending up in this place playing a slightly more fruitful style he doesn't seem to believe in himself.

It's mad having a start like we did (and an end of last season) and him still being here at that point, so we're in a corner now, can't sack him now if we didn't then.

Meanwhile, Shrewsbury will rock up on Saturday, the compare will say "and here's what you could have won" pointing at the away dugout, and we'll be all but relegated by 5pm Saturday.

From there, do we even bother?

Mate, we won that match by accident. Evatt really has no idea what he is doing and the desperate 4 subs at once was a final throw by him. Your lad was sent off for continually fouling, and was warned by the ref about 5 minutes before the sending off, so he should have had more sense. You had the game won before the sending off

Let’s guess how many Peterborough score tonight.
I’m going for 6.
We have only sold about 80 tickets. We have literally given up. Our owners have said everything will be fine, but it won’t. You sacked a manager and have still not replaced him 6 weeks later. Fucking jokers. And you signed players on a spreadsheet who are mostly crap.
I won’t be going tonight nor against Wrexham at home Saturday which we will lose 3-0.

I know it's probably stating the obvious but Birmingham do look very good.

We have hit the bar and the keepers made a good double save but that flatters us to make it sound like we've been in it to be honest.

They have that extra Championship esque quality of speed of thought. Probably wasn't the best night for our best defender to be suspended mind.

Well I got that massively wrong.
We deserved it tonight- should have scored more. Played so well.
Off the bottom as well. Good night all round.

I am sure normal service will be resumed Saturday as our charity defenders part like the Red Sea for you.
However that has given me some hope we might shithouse a point.

The way we play away, it feels almost wrong of me to go there for a point as we are pish away from home. After tonights shock result, I really don't know. As long as we turn up with high energy and a high press I think we'll be ok but we don't do that away from home.

Missing McClean and Dobson too, both useful for providing energy.

Played quite well second half once we started to play with more urgency and go in behind them more but the better team won on the night.

Dobson has a good replacement in Cannon and/or Jones (the forgotten man in many respects) and Revan/Mendy on the left flank. We'll be fine.

County very bright the first ten minutes, Connolly absolutely rattled the crossbar from distance which bounced off the line. After that we were abysmal however and were asking for a battering.

Second half we just shaded it, but damage was already done.
