Bit of a different look this week since most fixture sources still list the games postponed due to the FA Cup, this was the first list I could find that only shows the games that are actually still on.

Anyway.

Us v Hudds is the only game on on Tuesday night - this is a fixture rescheduled from the last international break I think.

Arguably a good time to play us since we are light at CB at the moment, Caleb Taylor just having gone back to WBA from his loan, and understudy Alex Hartridge being suspended after getting two yellows in today's game v Blackpool.

We have an atrocious record vs Huddersfield, although as has been said on here, it's not like the players look at the history of the fixture and seek to reproduce it.

This is also our game in hand on Wrexham (on the same points as us) whose fans will all be wearing their blue and white striped lucky pants for the day.

We don't really want them to win either. A draw will be fine.

Long way to go still but feels like a defeat on Tuesday would be a hammer blow for the autos, unbeaten in 14 now but not played well in the last 3/4 games or so.
Plenty of players out this end but Kasumu will be the biggest miss as he has been player of the season so far.
Despite having one half decent striker available , we always look dangerous on set pieces and we are fairly solid, so will be positive and predict the away win.

It’s actually just levelling out from the first half of the season when we had more away games.

We’re probably better away anyway, as we do better when teams are more likely to attack - which they would be on their home turf - vs playing the more cagey counter-attack style.

Fair enough if Wrexham fans who saw us then think, “hang on, you weren’t much cop at ours”, and that’s true, but we were still:

  • bedding in some new players (a couple of whom don’t get in our team now),
  • yet to sign some key ones,
  • and didn’t know our best XI at that point.

Nope, not really.
As ER said, if Huddersfield win and win their 2 GIH, they'll be level with us on points and also with the momentum of a runaway train. I do think they'll get the 2nd auto promo spot anyway, but I won't be cheering them on....

Apart from the Vale tomorrow, nice to have a break before the derby next Thursday.

How's the weather in Bucks? Is the Wycombe game on?

I don't think you had any snow down there did you?

The weather in West Yorkshire is shocking . Snow then snow and ice changed plans due to weather on Sunday , watching on sky tonight come on u terriers . The injuries are piling up , never seen such a depleted squad Helik added today it’s literally one a week every week.
Should be interesting to see how we cope tonight.

yup, quality finish from Hudds and we've shown little in return.

Hudds have also looked very comfortable in defence and have pretty comfortably knocked back any attacking attempts we've put together, our tactic of punting it long for one of the front two to run onto really isn't bearing any fruit.

I think substitutions will be key here, but so far we haven't really shown anything even worthy of a point.

Solid away performance scored early and then pretty much nullified Wycombe bar the one that hit the post and the near post header from a corner, we’ve got so many injuries but are hanging in there .

That was fairly comfortable bar the late crossbar effort towards the end. Not pretty but a great result, especially with the players we had out.

no complaints there then, good finish from Hudds early on and we huffed and puffed, but were never quite good enough to get back in it.

Very solid defence, you have to say that Duff got the tactics right tonight.

Without their dodgy pens Wycombe are nothing of note. Now their loan signings have been recalled I can see them slipping down the table.
