That has to be the coldest I've been at a football game.

Very open first 10 mins with chances for both teams. First half Mansfield looked really dangerous getting it down the flanks. We only looked dangerous from set pieces. Mansfield had a warning before we scored. We then struggled through to half time.

2nd half and Mansfield ran out of ideas. Most of the game was played between our box and the half way line with Mansfield having majority of possession but we held firm.

4? injuries for Mansfield, when your luck is out.

As the game went on, and with our subs, it changed the game and final 30 were very comfortable. Has to be Clucas who scored after Mansfield fans gave him shit.

Not a 3 nil game,.Mansfield looked comfortable in position but poor in both boxes.

Hard to disagree with that, Clucas only got half arsed shit though. Looks like we got hard done by not getting a penalty too, our luck really is out.

Think it was only three injuries but all our second string CBs so we basically had to completely change our set up.

Clough being told to go straight up to the boardroom after that tonight. Read into that what you will.

Being serious for a moment, JR is not a trigger happy chairman I think it would take us to be proper dragged in it for that to happen.

Boos ringing out at the Racecourse at Full Time. That's from a very good source who was present at the game tonight.
That’s absolutely pathetic

A disgrace even

A few, not that many in all honesty. Not somebody who Boo's personally, can't see how it helps but I was more surprised there wasn't more booing

Had to scrap that out in the end to make sure of the win, no idea why Abdulai didn’t shoot at the end and moments later we’re down to ten men.

Thought first half was even and both sides scored with their first chances.

Scored when we was on top second half and managed to limit Wrexham who were poor second half - don’t think Keeley had a save to make until we went down to ten men.

Big result for us, not beaten anyone in the top 6 yet and we did it with Sweeney and Perkins in the starting team. Sweeney first half struggled against Barnett.

Yeah was that in the first half, it seemed to bounce up weird against O'Connor. Couldnt see it clearly but did look a bit dodgy.

Thought you looked really dangerous down the flanks and if you had scored first, will have been a completely different game. However managed to nullify that and you ran out of ideas. Like the look of Vickers from yourselves.

Frustrating 1-0 home defeat against Huddersfield. Typical of our games lately, very scrappy. Can't fault the effort but didn't take the few chances we made, whereas they took theirs. Thought Huddersfield looked good in possession until the final third, and very quick on the counter. Feel the Bolton that showed up 2nd half against us on Saturday looked the better, more clinical, of the 2 sides.

Having only seen it at the game and no replay, thought we should have had a penalty when Ojo appeared to be pulled back with a free shot on goal 8 yards out after a scramble at a corner. Probably would have missed any penalty anyway.

Also can't understand the officials wearing orange shirts when Huddersfield were also wearing dark orange.

Thought you were good for a draw and physically you caused us problems all night, the Koroma goal was right in front of me and no way did I think he was scoring from that angle, not a classic game but happy we stood up to a good test.
Joe Taylor was brought In to help in the final third but he’s out for a decent spell already which is very much on brand for this season.

There was a new ref in charge of the Crawley v Wigan game, Richard Ely.

He did OK. No major decisions to make but didn't want the game to be about him so he won't progress far then!

Buy a pint for our lino after the game. Ruled 2 goals out for offside. Both looked close to me but I'm at completely the wrong angle to judge.

Pretty spot on!

Thought we should have equalised with our bombardment in the 8 added mins, but you deserved the points.

Rathbone by far our best player, strange looking tactics with Rodriguez looking to be playing No 10/AM leaving Smith isolated.

Mansfield are in a similarly sticky patch that we were in last season in November/December/January where we had 11 or 12 out, playing what wasn't far off a reserve side and a record of 1 win in 15 or something, but managed to dig out three or four 0-0's instead of losing all the rest.

I'm not sure how their loan players are doing (that's all they signed in January?), but L1 is a league where you can't really stand too still and get away with it and it felt like Clough (or the Club) decided to go with what they had despite all the injury issues? A risky way to go but I'd be surprised if you didn't get the two or three wins that are required. That said, the first half the season points tally gave you the opportunity to do that.

Anyway, onto last night and a good win, which takes a bit of the pressure off the Burton game. Pym's conceded the same goal against us twice this season (one corner, one free-kick but the latter was basically a corner given where it was taken from). And Mansfield allowed Collins and O'Connor free headers from the exact same spot from consecutive corners. That's 21/22 goals from set pieces for us now, about half of our goals scored this season!

The subs made a difference in the end for the second and third goals, something we don't always have available to us but last night the bench looked ok despite being without Walker, Montsma, Moylan, Gardner, Hamer and Cadamarteri.

We run at around 1.5/1.6ppg when we have less possession than the opposition compared to 0.84ppg with more, which is quite stark - PO form and relegation form!

As bad as we were you still expect us to recover in those type of games when it's like the Alamo at the end because we've seen it so often. Those 2 monsters Orient had at centre back were brilliant, just like Klarer of Birmingham was when we were bombarding them at the end of that game.

Defenders are able to withstand a lot more at this level and those 2 teams simply didn't crumble.

O's number 5 won everything in the air. I hope the government call him up to national service to head this asteroid away if its heading our way. Fair play he was my motm. As above, similar to what Klarer was like for blues.

Can't be having passengers in midfield who offer absolutely nothing. A combination of James and Dobbo just doesn't do any favours for anyone.

There was one deep ball in at the end that Fletcher was running onto from about 10 yards out, don't know which one it was, but the Orient defender was literally risking his life to get his head to that first.

Fletch picked him up to give him his fair dos.

The final sub, midfielder Dom Ball.
