Nice early battering of Barrow to make sure I can enjoy my Saturday now.

We just footballed them to death, and should have had a few more goals. The reality is they were nowhere near us today, Lee Bell got the tactics spot on considering we still have a threadbare squad (to the point where 2 of our subs are actively injured but they're making up numbers), and it worked. We were great today!

Bit of afters between Adams and Byfield. Adams seemed to take exception to Gordon’s walking round the pitch after his sub, blokes a weapon and always has been miserable twat.

Rovers missing both Solomon and Norris, the latter not rumoured pre-match. Short of defensive options on the bench too.

Barrow's tactics were atrocious today. Did they have half an eye on the derby on Thursday? Either way, they just sat off us and gave us oceans of space to pass it round them. That being said, we were excellent for the most part. Gave up a couple of big chances, but played some great football at times and got the fortune we've been missing in recent weeks with a ball bouncing in off O'Riordan's arse and a debatable penalty shout which might not have been in the box.

Much better display, but we'll need to get some more players back and keep improving as we enter a horrible 8 game stretch where we play sides no lower than 13th currently.

When the opposition are having the keeper go down within the first 10 mins it doesn’t leave much to the imagination their intentions. Good value for the lead though overall. Hopefully can just get that second.

These Chesterfield players have spent more time lying down on the county ground pitch than they did standing. Hope the player carted off is ok though. Beggars belief how slow the medical staff are to respond. Had same at Cheltenham away a doctor strolling over to the stand where a fan was in distress

A doomonger on our guestbook posted "30 mins in, zero shots. Usually first half shit.".

A few minutes later Marcus Browne scored his his first goal for us.

Behave, your players have more hands than a gospel choir. Never seen so much shirt pulling and grappling. Harry Smith especially culpable, lucky to still be on the pitch. Tshimanga must have learned that at your place too, he wasn't like that here but looks like he wants to swap shirts with Grimes today.
It's a scrappy, crappy sort of game with very little quality so far I reckon. Feels a bit like whoever scores first wins. I'm still not hugely sold on Olakigbe, and I think we have very little in midfield today. Might take 1 moment of brilliance from someone to settle it. Banks might be one to bring on because of the fact he has that in the locker alone

We really need to fix our goalkeeping situation next year.

We are just not that good. Mid table side.
I'm getting annoyed with this set of players now. Absolutely toothless and too many errors at the back. There's genuinely not that many I'd be clawing to keep. I reckon they'll be huge turnover in the summer.

Cooks giving himself an absolutely coronary on the side line. I bet his voice is going to be peak PC post match.

Get in there another bogey team put to the sword, had a bad feeling about today but we should’ve won by more missed 2 absolute sitters in injury time to wrap it up.
Feels great to be in the play off mix.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
is shoots of good recently but it’s a case of short term urgency has made those shoots seem weaker than they are.

Last 3 games look better crating chances, put other side under pressure………this never happened in the whole season previous.

But we should on performance had 9 points and we grabbed 1.

FINALLY we look competitive but sadly we don’t look like able to get the vital wins we need.

But longer term higher is at least making this shower look competitive

Great win for us to back up the Notts one. 2-1 makes it look a closer contest than it was as we were pretty dominant for the most part.

Big big win but not helped overall by Curtis getting sent off after full time. Stupid with the injury crisis we have up front!

Sounded like Rovers deserved something from the trip to Notts. More of the chances first half but switched off for a key 5 minutes in the second. Dennis, who perhaps should have appeared sooner got a goal back and had another decent chance at the end.

Have we any bogey teams left now - Bromley, Donny, Harrogate, Bradford (at home) and now Fleetwood bogeys banished? And we are still Everton's bogey team...

We’ve got about 20 OOC thankfully. Too many NL standard players in the squad.

Only just heard about this. If he has got involved in a bit of afters then as much as I like Curtis he needs to fined for this. Completely unacceptable especially when theres a potential question mark over Tolaj ahead of Tranmere. Shame as he played very well otherwise.

100% - we were awful and deserved to lose.

If that was a one-off you’d take it but it’s very worrying that performance came off the heels of Tuesday night, everything looks wrong with us at the moment - no variety in our attacking play, we’re leaving wing backs isolated defensively and the box midfield really isn’t working. Maynard just doesn’t have any tricks up his sleeve when things aren’t going well.

Tbh MK Dons were the better side than us in August, but today we were dominant and should have won by more. Alexander will have enjoyed that one. Easy win, onto a tricky game on Tuesday.

Yeah I'm not really sure about many of the new boys either if I'm honest. Duffy delivers a decent ball but plays like he needs a rocket up his arse, Olakigbe is very ineffectual against a low block with tight pressing, Pepple looks like the big galoot he is again, I'd be quite happy to send Metcalfe back whenever he wants, Madden disappointing off the bench again. Most of the defence that are fit are just not league players. Both keepers are crap as well. There's loads of problems to fix that are just coming more to light as the season goes on. Agents across the land are licking their lips at the amount of transfer business that's going to be going on around here in a few months.

Our home performances are diabolical and have been all season. It’s really weird cos away we’ve consistently been pretty good, would be no surprise to anyone if we went to Fleetwood next week and won 3-1 or something, dominating the game. But we just can’t seem to do it at home.

I did think Tranmere looked much better than their league position, to be fair.

Not sure how we've come away with nothing there. Much the better team in the first half, and still had plenty of chances in the second. Goes back to our issue all season though, in that we just can't score.
