Morecambe v Barrow is played 4 days after the 100th anniversary of the 1st competitive meeting of the 2 teams on 27th November 1920. Barrow won 2-1 that day.
We've played Morecambe away 27 times (all at the old Christie Park) and our record is P27 W14 D6 L7 - but this is obviously the 1st meeting in the Football League.
Should be a good game - as long as I remember the early kick off.

Some good games. Starting to enjoy the season and how tin pot this league really is.
Every team capable of beating any other on a given day. Got the 3 points Saturday and its feet up time.
We picked up 2 injuries in Tutte,Miller Tutte will be a big miss as Evatt now will pick Tom White who is just not good enough.
We have a decent squad size wise but we need to bring 4 in January to push on and gain automatic promotion.
We are out of all cups so the old adage of concentrating on the league rings true.

Can the Exeters,Tranmeres,FGR and Newports bring another six on board come January because they will certainly need them
And have they room in the 1.5m budget to bring in said signings

Difficult game between two of the league's form teams. Rovers have had to battle hard to narrowly win the last two games and lost the same fixture a couple of seasons ago when on a similar good run. Potentially high-scoring game with both sides having forwards in decent form. Think I'd settle for a point.

Last January we made 5 signings, but 4 were on loan (2 from other league 2 sides) and the other was a promising striker from the Evo Stik leagues, so doubt we'll do a lot this time.

Probably be a couple of loans, hopefully extend Odin Bailey's loan for the season.

This was the game I was looking forward to most - our local derby and a first trip to whatever Morecambe's stadium is called at the moment. Hopefully we'll both be here next season...

Going off other comments, I can see Morecambe sneaking a lead and parking the bus. We might benefit from having the weekend off though.

Grimsby away. On form, we should win but Grimsby seem to be quite inconsistent so if they have a good day then it may be a tough evening for us.

We’re scoring loads and Joel Randall and Matt Jay have been superb this season with 8 goals each from attacking midfield. If they continue to click alongside Williams and Law then I fancy our chances of a top 3 spot. That said, we tend to ship more goals than last season so we could come unstuck...!

I think we will win 2-1 tomorrow. Bowman and Randall on the scoresheet.

We’re unbelievably inconsistent but our recent league form is slightly better than the current mood around the club suggests.

Two of our best performances since getting promoted have come against Exeter, albeit away from home. Fingers crossed for more of the same but I won’t bank on it.

We normally lose at home to Newport, they do everything well that we don't like playing against.

Jamille Matt and Aaron Collins for us plus Liam Shepherd for them up against their old clubs.

Always an enjoyable game against forest green and the new lawn is usually a happy hunting ground for us, but we will have to buck up our ideas if we want to get anything out of this game, we were awful on saturday against salford reserves where the 3-0 scoreline flattered us, another display like that at forest green and they will batter us.

We have quite a large team considering most of our players are youth. Half our match day squads are academy players, we are in no need to bring anyone in, in January other than to maybe strengthen up certain areas. We have disposal cash to do so but I dont think we really need to spend any, perhaps one or two loans will do the trick and finally get us over the line. Regarding this weeks fixtures, Grimsby are a funny old team. I can see them nicking this 1-0.

Our game at home to Mansfield will see our first league game with fans in attendance, I’m pretty excited even though it’s obviously going to look and feel very different. There’s only 2,000 of us there and we’re going to be in all four stands so will be rattling around a bit. And there’ll be masks etc but just being back at a game again is going to be an amazing feeling.

Nigel Clough is already in the local press saying it’s unfair clubs in the south have fans back and clubs in the north can’t. We’re going to make a bit of money this evening (not a lot mind, but a bit). Maybe he wants all clubs to refund all season ticket holders instead? Prick.

Anyway there’s actually a game going on. We’ve got to see anything other than three points as a poor result tomorrow, especially as Mansfield played 120 mins yesterday and we’ve only played one game in the last 10 days against their three. We should have a reasonably full team I’d have thought.

If we lose after waiting this long to get back in I’ll be gutted.

I agree with Nigel Clough and others that there is a fairness issue where some clubs are allowed fans in their ground and others not. Unsure how you resolve it though. It’s frustrating for me as a Tranmere season-ticket holder being unable to apply to go into the ballot for match tickets as I live in a tier 3 area, just have to accept there’s nowt I can do about it...

Always tricky up at Cleethorpes. We are playing well but games are starting to catch up with us. Tricky selection with both Jay and Law vying for the same position. Our defence will need another reshuffle and that will be Grimsbys 'in'
I think it will be 2-2.

Oldham have been very impressive of late, which is no mean feat having Lemsagam as chairman. Looks like they have unearthed a few diamonds in the pre season. We all know about Danny Rowe at Tranmere, we tried to sign him several times but Fyldes asking price was too rich for us.
Should be goals and a decent game.

Can't really call it as we're far too unpredictable at the moment, extra time at the weekend wouldn't have helped us though. Either way, it feels like we can't afford to lose this game, a shame we can't be there for it.

Last couple of seasons we have won at Exeter and they in turn have won in Cleethorpes; I think it'll be the other way round this season, a win each, but at home rather than away.

3-1 to Grimsby on Tuesday.

Oldham will be a very tough game given their recent form. Hoping that they decide to stick to winning their away fixtures but losing their games at Boundary Park!

Very similar situation to the last time we faced each other. A midweek game when we were in brilliant form only to be dispatched 2-0 by Oldham. It was bloomin freezing that evening! Would agree with other posters that I can see a high scoring draw here and I’d be happy with a point.

I’ve just realised that Exeter’s form against the shit teams in this league is pretty poor. I’m hoping that combined with a mammoth journey might give us a shot.

Today will be a test to see if we’ve turned a corner or not. Tranmere will be top 7 no question come the end of the season. I still fear our defence is too leaky and we lack any real bite or control in midfield which I think will be our undoing.

Real shame fans can’t be there to give Peter Clarke the welcome he deserves and to give their scruffy manager some stick.

Missing a couple of players through injury so I’d take a point now but in reality I think we’ll get beat.

What is our record like at Oldham. I suspect its not great. A win for us would be a sign of having turned a corner for us just as much.
