Hard to tell from iFollow. Only thing I can think of is if Edmundson pushed off the defender. Certainly didn’t look offside to me but maybe another angle might say otherwise.

Lucky Bristol Rovers, huffed and puffed for 80 minutes until a wonder strike from 25 yards that gave our keeper no chance. But after the goal Barrow laid siege to the rovers goal and deserved an equaliser, did everything but score ffs... frustrating - but at least Oldham screwed up

Maybe lucky at the end but we should have been 3 or 4 up by then... your keeper kept you in it. You deserved what you got, nowt.

Hellogregory's lot get the biggest win of the night, looks a lot brighter for them now.
Promotion and relegation issues are getting even more complicated, if anything.

Didn’t look much in it that I could see, they were physical.

Worry about Gibbo tho he was up front limping the last few minutes. Just a shame Wilson’s moment of magic didn’t end up in the onion bag at the end.

Hard to tell, ref gave it straight away so he clearly saw something so won’t dwell on it too much.

We do need to work on our ball retention. Especially first half it wasn’t really up to scratch and we’re going aerial far too often. It’s also time for Crosby to admit the 3-4-3 isn’t working. Either go with a back four or back to a 3-5-2. That way can give Garrity license to make those forward runs from open play, he can’t play in a two.

The only thing lucky about it was that we had'nt already got 5 before you started to attack in second half injury time.

We hit the post from 3 yards out in the 93rd minute. Wouldn’t have deserved the winner but it’s quite deflating.

Season threatening to unravel a bit.

No, and we shouldn't yet. Otherwise we are just gonna go through the same shit every season and be down within a couple of years anyway.

Players are still seemingly playing for him at the minute which was different in both cases last year, can't fault the effort we are just simply not good enough to stay up at the moment.

I'm not one to criticize a ref. Most our level are pretty sure for both teams but I reckon Yems' constant bad mouthing us having an effect. Poor, poor, poor all game but we should have realised when he was shaking hands and hugging the Oldham players before the game!

Still he wasn't the reason we didn't win. Our own ineptitude was the cause of that. I've finally figured out why teams cut through us like we ain't there. It's because we ain't there!

Entertainment in the rain though. Four half decent goals, a manager sent off and a ref to be angry with.

Thought we, again, were the better team tonight and were the far more likely. The run of the ball just didn't go for us and we miss a Conlon to play those clever balls. Disappointed not to win, but we're 9 unbeaten and 7 in the form table, with games in hand still on many of the teams above us. Although if you listened to some of our fans we appear to be 20 points adrift at the bottom after 10 defeats in a row.

We can be more clinical in the final third but I'd rather address these issues now than with 5 games to go.

Some of the reaction has been a little puzzling. It’s like Hellogregory has taken over half the posters accounts on OVF. Truth is we were the better side. Yes there are things such as keeping the ball at times we should have done better but we are still well in the race. The formation could do with looking at and I stand by what I say on Holy too but it’s far from a disaster tonight.

On the plus side Cooper I thought showed something tonight and after we made the subs we played with a lot more energy throughout.

Proctor on the pitch tonight we win that, the balls we got into the box and corners we had where it looked a mess defensively he probably takes advantage off.

Ultimately we are way off standard at the moment without Conlon but 9 unbeaten and have been the better side in most matches in that run.

Just need to get Conlon back who must be close now? If we can get him back for Crawley/Mansfield it would be a huge boost.

Goodness me lucky because Barrow didn’t score the 1 real chance they had in the match?

Shame about the red card, looked a good game until then - Barrow were much better than expected, but they do love a red card against us. Becoming a bit of a tradition now :D

Tonight felt like we were playing Wycombe all over again, but thankfully a wonderful strike got us our deserved win. But make no doubt about it, we were poor overall and no where near clinical enough. Barrow were incredibly hard working tbf but invited far too much pressure and time wasting was horrendous - if the referee was stricter they’d have had another 3/4 reds just for the time wasting. Not quite sure I’ve ever seen a sub being made and the sub is still sat on the bench ffs - shocking officiating

Sounds like another game where Barrow played well but lost, which seems to have happened a lot over the last couple of seasons.

Someone (probably Adam Johnson) on BBCRC said there's not a cat in hell's chance Barrow go down because they're too good. Big words for a team hovering above the drop.

Managed to scramble a point in tough conditions and managed to score twice to give the team some sort of belief in themselves.

Still look poor though, Colchester the better side overall and looked like they had a plan, whereas we still look unsure and with no plan.

We don't deal with moments in games well, tonight we took the lead and didn't look anywhere convincing of keeping it and we again let in 2 goals from set plays and another corner, unless we get a manager in we will go down because we look clueless at the minute.

Having said that, the team fought till the end to salvage something from the game - which wouldn't have happened with Jackett in charge.

Ref in this one was a proper prick though.

Good entertaining game this evening. We were good first half and a couple of really good chances were spurned. FGR stronger second half and we were holding on a bit at the end when down to 10. FGR best I’ve seen us play this season - good outfit. Brakespear as per didn’t have a clue - on the receiving end today but I guess we had the break with our pen v Tranmere last weekend. Down to the bare bones at CB for the Gas this weekend. Only have Demetriou available.

Been all over Carlisle this half, then our keeper drops it for 1-0 Carlisle. Got to hope we can get back into this, they look very poor.

I’m glad someone else sees what I saw.

We are very poor, the lack of quality is as clear as day.

But the new manager has added some fight and desire to these players which along with a bit of luck got us the result.

Carver seems to think we’re all of a sudden a great team.

Turns out with Proctor we were just resting him as per Crosbys interview after the game. Bit of a risky strategy to leave your number 1 target man out the squad completely but at least now we know he is good to go for Colchester.

No way are we "too good to go down", but both seasons in League 2 have been so frustrating as we haven't been dreadful (apart from a few games under Jolley when he tried 20 formations each match) and are usually well in the game at the final whistle or pushing hard for a winner, but it's ridiculous how inept we have been at finishing teams off or breaking down a stubborn defence.
