I will be cheering for Portsmouth, Burton, Shrewsbury (although this one doesn't really matter in the overall scheme of things), Fleetwood and Cambridge. :2thumb:

Always happy to welcome a new fan to the club. I can send you a link to the club shop if you like? :gr:

Tough game this. Oxford are a better team than us. I'll gladly take a point.

First in a run of seven hard games. We tried to rest a few first-teamers for the (supposedly) easier Fleetwood game on Saturday as the games will come thick and fast now. It backfired slightly when we found ourselves three down after 40 minutes. We just don't have the squad depth to shuffle things around like that.

The biggest call will be for the Cowleys to finally accept that O'Brien is a better option up front than Tyler Walker and give him a run in the team.

We'll get stuffed at Wednesday, JFH will have bingo machine out again and make 5 changes, he's clueless.

Everyone around us appears to not be dropping all that many points (MK and Wednesday appear to be our closest rivals right now with the autos out of sight) so it’s vital we continue to win games at this stage of the season. I have a feeling securing a playoff place this season may require a higher than usual points tally…

Favourably the gap in consistency and turbulence that separate playoff sides against teams just outside is helpful, however a sharp upturn in just one team placed 7th-10th with one playoff side falling like a stone could very well see a late push. Consistency as ever seems to be the key ingredient right now.

If we win tonight, I reckon that’s enough for safety - I can’t see two of Gillingham, Wimbledon and Morecambe getting more than 47 points. But we very rarely get anything at Wycombe so I’d snap your hand off for a draw.

Need to keep this run of form up against a side we haven't beaten yet at home, albeit this is only their 3rd visit.

It would be nice to mark the 1st year of Darren Moores tenure with our 7th win from 8 and hopefully put a bit of daylight to 7th

He can’t keep the same team for a half never mind a game. It’s just mind boggling.
We will lose 3-1 and be 1-0 down in 4 minutes.

Sorry play off chasers but we haven't turned up tonight and Wycombe have strolled into a 2-0 lead.

Looking like it could be a good prediction!

Defensively we are far from good. Silly goals, cheap in possession and our game management in the build up to half time was dreadful. Really poor showing.

Pompey fans - Is it iFollow that manages your streaming service or is it done in-house? The additional cameras make for a much better viewing experience.

Lucky to get a point at Shrewsbury after a poor second half performance.
Only the GK Josh Vickers comes away with any credit.

Taking Rathbone off at half time made us surrender midfield and taking Harding off gave them a free run down their left wing.

Both Wiles and Ogbene let the manager down, he put them on to change a draw into a win and we finished up hanging on because they never got in the game,

Shrewsbury had no clue first half, then it looked like they were the top of the league team second half. Well done them.

I look forward to the Oxford fans condemning Sam Longs high kick near the end. An obvious sending off as they expertly pointed out the other week.

A relief to finally get a win after a long spell of indifferent to poor form.

We’re not *that* far off the playoff spots, but we’ve left ourselves little margin for further error, with a lot of other sides coming into form at the right time.

Not that I did at the time…

That being said if you’re quite happy to ignore the fact that neither challenged resembled the other in the slightest. Sure.

I was being ironic.

Neither were sending offs.

Sorry GL, didn't see your question regarding iFollow last night.

Having Michael Eisner helps. Given his company produces many Netflix series he had far higher expectations from a media point of view when watching iFollow from the states. He put a lot of pressure of the EFL for the poor delivery and we suddenly had two or three cameras each game. I realise this is probably unique with iFollow, so i'm assuming we contribute towards the extra costs.

Cracking win that, against a good team. We're not out of the play-off chase just yet.

Conceded another early goal - although brilliantly taken by Browne to be fair. We took a while to get going and it looked like Oxford might increase their lead but we started to get on top and turned the game on its head before half time with two goals. We dominated the first 25 minutes or so of the second half and Hayden Carter smashed in a superb long range effort to make it 3-1. George Hirst then managed to hit the keeper from point blank range when it looked easier to score, which would have finished it. Strong late comeback from Oxford made us happy to hear the final whistle.

Accy at home Saturday and then away to Crewe on Tuesday. 6 points from those might see us well in the mix.

Time for jfh to go. I’m done with this tactics. Changing 5 players every week. We have a good squad and on our day we are capable. However he cannot play the same players more than once and it’s doing my nut in. Our defence is shocking. Thank god we have enough points in the bank.
Go do punditry full time Jimmy as you are not up to the job anymore.

So THAT is where Warney got the idea from! Five changes for the Millers last night and we looked like what we were, a collection of strangers. If it wasn’t for Vickers in goal and a string of high and wide shots, a thrashing could have been had last night. Not seen us dominated like that all season, and yes Owls fans, I do include the recent Derby, we were that bad in the second half, after merely looking poor first half.
wheels coming off, or a one off? We are about to find out with MK here on Saturday.

There has been a lot worse performances at Hillsborough this year, Charlton on Saturday for example.
I won't pretend to know a lot about Burton but I think you may be being a tad harsh given where you were before he took over last season and will comfortably stay up this year?

The issue is the fact he is absolutely hellbent on changing the team every week and learning nothing. 12 players out, 8 in. We are a revolving door and have no stability.
Last season he got us out of what looked like an impossible situation and this season started well, but since then he seems to have lost the plot.

In fairness, we largely didn't threaten beyond the early stages of the game we sort of just... Looked tired after about 20 minutes. You won't get many easier opposition in the top six playing like that with such a leaky back line.

I don't know whether this was discussed at all post-match by the Cowley's, however we were nullified reasonably well. Out of character for us but we really didn't give you a game, frustratingly. Hopefully a win this weekend. Much needed now.

I'm sure one other club this/last season has done similar. Whatever was done makes a huge difference to the quality of coverage.

I would think for a club with your support it makes it a justifiable investment against most other clubs in their up-take for the streaming of games at this level. Made a nice change!

I bet it was better than a soggy A34 :(

P.S. If you kick someone in the head knocking them out it is a red card in my book; oh and the LOAF.
