Second 2-2 on the bounce. Led twice against Charlton, but couldn't hang on.

Marquis missed two sitters, either of which would have put us two goals up and probably finished the game. At least he set one up so could have been worse. He's only got one this season but really is the only show in town up front for us. None of our other Central strikers have any sort of goalscoring record. Marquis obviously does so we need to stick with him.

Burton had 27 shots against us apparently yet for the most part weren't actually that threatening by the sound of it and seemed fairly comfortable bar the last five minutes. I'm assuming most must have been pot shots from distance.

Agreed, and I'm not surprised that the appeal has succeeded. It was a foul in the area, but having given the penalty, a yellow was absolutely sufficient for a clumsy challenge.

So, Fleetwood were the first team I’ve seen this season where I’ve gone “ooh, they look a bit sharper and quicker than us” at times. they’ll cause problems for a few teams, I’m sure. We were sloppy defensively but had enough clear chances to have won comfortably, but I think we’d have taken four points from Wycombe and last night, so all’s good and onto Donny at the weekend. Can’t see them being as poor as they were last night and I’m sure there’ll be a reaction from them, so possibly not the comfortable away win we were hoping for.
