He isn't a forward!

He did a fracture similar to Jones the midweek after he did so assume similar, all be it he is walking around and was strolling around in full training kit Monday at the statue unveiling with no cast so not sure what kind of fracture it is.

It was almost like fate they went off with the same injury the week before we met, but February the flair and dynamic Jones v's the calm and efficient Byers can take place and League Two will get to experience such a class of titans.

Managed to catch up with the Grimsby action and from a Rovers perspective it wasn't quite as bad as expected, although we still lost. Thought first half was fairly even and maybe we edged it. Some thought the Morris effort had fully crossed the line, but the footage doesn't seem to support that, the Mariners fans behind the goal will have had the best view. However, the visitors made some tactical adjustments at half time and seemed to have control of the second half. Keeper error for the Grimsby goal, if McGee stays in his area and leaves Davies to deal with Obikwu, there is less chance of a goal. Davies did his best to narrow the angle, but a good finish. After that Grimsby had at least as many opportunities to extend the lead as we did to level, so can't argue with the result.

A few words about the referee Ben Toner. He had an absolutely dire game in Mansfield v Rovers a few years ago, where he gave every decision the Stags way. It was a match where they'd have won easily even without a helping hand from the officials. Usually he's been ok, but sounds like a reversion to Field Mill form. Think he might have got away with a no penalty/no simulation players coming together call, but to book Hendry was a very poor choice. The triple foul on Norman where Mr Toner and the liner awarded a Grimsby goal kick also seemed debatable. Adkins was also critical of a couple of offside calls, but hard to call and they didn't seem blatant from the camera angles.
