Well we dont have a team mate haha. Dapo suspended now too. Isgrove injured. 14 first teamers down to 12 then for the weekend. When it rains… it pours!
Gillingham were playing 16 and 17 year olds against us in the past few weeks and, despite winning two and drawing one of them, we made bloody hard work of it.

Still, we go into the game with confidence, so I definitely won't be writing us off either.

Absolutely. Same as every game this season, we huff and puff but have no one up front to finish the chances off. I dont think we tested your keeper. How we ended the game is currently our strongest attacking line up!

Our next 4 are Accrington, Crewe, Cheltenham and Donny. Big games!

Another typical away performance at Ipswich.
Fast out of the blocks, breaking up play, often in their half and then setting up good attacks.

Great goal again from Wiles and a well worked second despite Freddie doing his best to miss it, good backing up by Ferguson to score his first goal for us.

I'm sure Ipswich look class if you let them play their game, they may come good but other managers will have seen how we played them and will try to do the same.

Top of the league so the only way is down, we have never started a season like this in previous promotions, we usually get going after Christmas.

Dreading the transfer window TBH.

I struggle to get to midweek games so wasn't there last night, but when you see the team sheet and the the front three are two CM's playing wide and a 17 year old youth academy lad through the centre then you know it's gonna be a long night.

Feel a bit sorry for MA at the minute, the summer recruitment wasn't quite right and left us short of options in attacking areas and it's being compounded by injuries and having to put squares in round holes, which gives us no threat whatsoever.

Looking at L1, there's a pretty perfect split between Clubs who have a budget, and those who don't - bar Charlton, Ipswich and Cheltenham who're the anomalies at the minute.

Deapite the 3 2 score line Crewe were truly abysmal against us. We should had 6 or so goals they were that open. I cant see any way they survive.
We could have nicked something at the end, but in truth 3-2 massively flattered us, the Dons should have won that by 5 or 6. I listened to your commentary and the sending off comments were laughable, the Dons player on a yellow card ran in on Williams with his elbow, way off the ball. He can have no complaints.

It's called having a winners mentality. Did you see us celebrating when we got that equaliser like most other teams would have done? Nope, straight back to the circle to try and win the game. You can find it insulting, but like it or not, we want to finish top two and that means putting teams like you away, which we didn't. Two points dropped, end of story.

Yes I understand that, we were the same last season on our promotion charge.

My point being you have to look at it as a point gained no matter what the season aspirations are. You can't play to your maximum every game and given how the game played out that's a point gained for you and most certainly two points dropped for us.

All the best for the rest of the season.

Me too Luke, we seem to have been in this never ending cycle of first getting covid into the squad (twice) then injury after injury to key players and they're never minor knocks either.
The midfield yet again looked scared to get stuck in leaving the defence woefully exposed, granted the team in general looked scared to make a mistake hence the overplaying around at the back.
I do fear it could come to a head on Saturday especially if we go behind.
We really couldn't have had worst opponents last night.

Of the teams I've seen this season you were definitely the best team I've seen, was only our keeper having an absolute blinder that we nicked a draw somehow.

What the fuck is going on at Doncaster? Are they skint and playing the youth team or something?

We really do seem to reserve our worst results/performances for Tuesdays this season.
In the league so far it's played 6 won 1 drawn lost 4! We've only scored 3!

Two points dropped. Having said that, when you're two goals down away from home with ten minutes left against anyone in the league you take the point and respect it. Just a shame we left it five/ten minutes too late or we'd have gone on and won like we did at Fleetwood.

Big game Saturday now!
Has Bayliss been shit?

Odd player, no idea what type of midfielder he is.

We didn’t want you to go out of business not sure why you feel the need to make things up or listen to a bunch of 14 year olds on social media, it’s time you let what happened 2 years ago, go, Olaf!
Always be good people like yourself, but sad to say it was not a bunch of 14 year old on social media but the core of your fans.

I have never wanted a team to go out of business.....we can never choose our owners

I thought it was a second yellow but never a straight red. Also your guy should go for use of head.

Injuries mainly plus Moore left us with hardly any contracted players so in the summer we had to rebuild unfortunately we got unlucky with multiple long term injuries by the time the window shut. We need minimum of 4 players in January and even then it will probably be too late to stop us going down

It’s certainly not the core of our fans, only a minority use social media, we nearly went out of business ourselves so we would never wish that on another club.

Solid point for us against Charlton after gifting them a 2-0 head start. We can't stop giving goals away with stupid errors on a weekly basis, but we've done well to fight back in this one.

Charlton look a good side and move the ball around well, they'll jump up the table soon no doubt.

Including some of your Conference teams?
I don't think this at all, it's a section of our fans probably our 'newer' ones who almost certainly never went between 2011 and probably upto late 2016 and have no idea just how terrible we were and the four seasons before we got relegated.
We aint good at all just no but there are reasons why, injuries to most of key players and getting screwed over in the transfer window, we just have the spending power of some.

Any of the Lincoln Cowley sides would beat the one available to us at the minute. They'd also give this seasons fully fit and strongest XI a run for its money I think. Hopefully that viewpoints changes after the January transfer window!

You had season/seasons in the Conference before that though didn't you or did the Cowley's manage from your 1st season back in the Conference?

We were in the conference from 2011 to 2017, the first 5 were utterly woeful in the main some of the teams we lost to like Carlshalton, Whitehawk, North Ferriby United we really embarrassing . We didn't finish above 13th and the first couple of seasons we were close to going into the conference north (like York and Stockport). Then the Cowleys arrived and a new investor ( Clive Nates our South African chairman) and the rest is history.

Crewe are shocking. Embarrassingly bad. And for some reason, the majority are completely blasè about it. Opposition fans get more angered about how bad we are than some of our own fans do. Each to their own, but the Artell apologists really annoyed me last night. Yes we have got poor players for this level, but that's no excuse for having no shape and playing strikers at wing back, amongst a multitude of sins.

Note on Wimbledon's ground. Bit of a strange experience. Quite a unique ground I guess, but not sure if that's a good thing or not. Can't put my finger on whether I like it or not. Also, stewarding was a bit OTT, and not sure why some of them were dressed like paratroopers.

Judging by the photo I’ve just seen, there was at least 1 steward for every 10 men (women and children)

Yeah frustrating from us. Stupid penalty and piss poor defending for the second. Thought we was a bit safe and boring going forward in the second half too.

Looked a bit leggy, they did put a shift in on Saturday.

Had a great night in Morecambe though, wasn’t expecting much but the boardwalk was packed with Charlton until almost 1am.

No worries, our decline really started before that.
After 5 playoffs from 2003 to 2007 we didn't finish in the top half again.
2010/11 was some of worst football I've ever especially in the league we got some absolute hammerings.

Yeah as a Wimbledon supporter I think the ground is decent. Its basically what we could afford to build. We still owe money on it.Only the main stand is permanent. The other 3 stands are semi temporary. We have planning permission to replace them at some point with permanent stands to increase the capacity to 20,000.If we will ever need a 20,000 stadium is another matter!!

Pretty much my thoughts as well. I think I've come to the conclusion that he's like a really really shit Jordi Gomez, in that he's very soft, but has the ability to come up with a through ball that creates a chance. Very inconsistent player, has had one or two good games and a few absolute stinkers. The reason he's got into the team at CM is due to injuries to both our first choice players, but I think he plays more like a number 10.

Aye, we've seen him thread some quality through balls too, and everything else you say rings true. Just kind of floats about, doesn't seem to have much tactical awareness.

He's young, but not that young, I think he'll just stay out on loan until we eventually release him. We paid about £1.2m up front for him as well... Great stuff.
