Barry going to be out long term. Best that DC could say was he hopes he’s going to be back before the end of the season.

Didn’t cost us tonight but we’ll definitely lose some points without having his X factor.

Saved by 2 great strikes tonight. Sutton were poor but we were so slow with the ball, let them get into there banks of 4.

O'Connell and Barnett off injured. O'Connell been very good recently, Barny one of our only threats with pace. Tozer returning to the side... still shit, gave the goal away

Not looking forward to Saturday. Notts 4-0 on the way

4-1. Battered by a team who hadn't won in two months. Very Bradford City. The first eleven is good enough for a playoff finish, but outside of that the recruitment has been double dogshit.
That’s generous, it’s a squad we’ll look back on in years to come and go ‘Wow, remember how bad a team that was, Ash Taylor and Osadebe’.

I'm struggling to think of players as bad as those. Zesh Rehman for Taylor? Dylan Motley Henry for Osadebe?

We edged the first half. Walsall totally dominated the second.

Walsall will be right pissed off not to win. 88th minute goal to go in front only for us to equalise in the 94th with just about our only shot on target in the second half.

I will hold my hands up and say we got away with that one.

The squad is full of them it’s criminal, for the handful of top 7 quality players we have it’s ruined by the amount of absolutely no where near good enough shite that must take up so much of the budget/space for better players. I don’t think collectively there are only 6 better starting 11’s than ours to say it’s Play Off standard. Easily ten of these lot are non league standard.

Ohh are Wrexham finally in the top 3?

Well it took them long enough.

Just shows that they had been more interested in their Hollywood circus and players vlogging than getting stuck in to get results.

At least we don't accept mediocrity. Imagine if we did.

And we haven't even played well yet. Shows how rubbish this league is.

Impressed with Gills tonight - proper defending. We pussyfooted around and looked pretty at times but what’s the point in putting a host of crosses into their box when their CBs consistently head them away. We’ve lost our way and will sink into mid table mediocrity

Flynn is a bit of a one trick pony, time for him to try and mix things up.

Our left-back is a kid who usually plays as a centre back and in my opinion looks like he is also carrying an injury - so I expect you'll get some joy down that side. Unless of course Touray is back and ready to start, could even see Knoyle perhaps playing on the left if your winger/Tracy likes to come inside on the opposite foot
The big worry before tonight was how we’d contain Tracey but Ethan Pye dealt with him so well.

Think you look really short upfront. I know Young got on a streak early doors but I’ve not been impressed and Austin doesn’t really cut it anymore. No one was ever going to win a clean header on a ball coming into the box (guess one did eventually fall for Young), zero physical presence versus their units. Shade could have done with some over lapping runs from someone down his side. Gillingham decent defensively as per normal. Terrible penalty.

Not really his fault. We’ve got a paper thin squad and bringing on a 16 year old about sums it up. We’ve no Kemp Saturday at MK so can’t see us getting anything there to add to a right shit run of form.

Very cagey, niggly first half at Gresty Rd tonight. Thought we had a stone wall penalty ignored by the officials when Sarce looked to be cut down running into the box, I'd say it looked more of a pen than any of the three that were given in last week's game against Grimsby. But we didn't create much apart from that.

Second half was a very different story, controlled almost everything. It's a hell of an achievement to go to the division's top scorers and deny them any outright chances. Sarce was utterly instrumental in everything, he got taken off because of a couple of wayward passes late on which annoyed me, no coincidence that Crewe started to build a bit more pressure after that. But a textbook header from Wootton and yet another striker's finish from Tanto wrapped up the points.

It would be the perfect evening if it weren't for what looked a pulled hamstring for Barry. If there's another player in this division who's better on the ball then I've yet to see them, I'd hate it to be the end of his time with County. Already got two others written off for the season already.

We are 15 games into a 46 game season
I said before a ball was kicked that Mansfield and Stockport would be strong, as most of us did.
But we still have two thirds of the season to go and a January transfer window.
Not all is lost yet people.
Many twists and turns to go.
Belt up, it’s gunna be fun!

I mean if we were picking an ideal evening beforehand, it would’ve been a win so comfortable that we could spend the last half an hour subbing on a succession of players I’ve never seen kick a ball before haha.
We looked the part tonight. Langstaff and Jones tore Newport to shreds all night, Macari never lost the ball and looks like he's got fifty league games under his belt, not one.
Could have been six, Newport probably the weakest team I've seen us up against.

Early doors but shaping up to be 2 from the bottom 6 to go down, with us hot favourites for one of the spots.

You'll beat us next week. We're incredible at ending other team's poor runs.

Yeah Newport were garbage, we knew exactly what were doing getting players suspended on purpose so they missed this one…Great to see some of the younger lads getting on the pitch, Cisse looked like he has some tricks in him.

Fuck Mansfield, biggest game of the season on Saturday. Hopefully we turn up for this one.

There's a long way to go, Gills looked doomed last season but you've a fair bit to do and I wouldn't want to be 7- 8 points adrift.

A fair summary. Morecambe had the better of the possession and chances for the first 70 minutes though the og was a fluke. We only really started had chances when Apter came on, but would expect Connor Jennings to convert at least one of the 2 late chances.

On another day that's a nil-nil between two mediocre looking sides, but the luck wasn't with us. Although we created very little, I actually thought that was a slight improvement over recent away performances, but that may be an indicator of Morecambe not pressing us very hard. They still had free reign down our left all game though.

I'm not sure what Apter has to do to start - he's the only one willing to run at his man and try to create something. O'Connor had a decent game too. For all Saunders' work rate and effort, he has one of the worst technical abilities I've ever seen in a striker. Reminds me of a prime James Norwood but with his boots on the wrong feet... Jennings had an off day all round - the amount of times he tried for a defence splitting pass and gave the ball away. Stockport on Saturday may be a cricket score.

That was a little bit frustrating in the end.

In the first half whilst we weren’t awful, we were clearly the second best team. The mentality changed at halftime from damage limitation to possibly getting something from the game, and our equaliser was well taken.

Given the quality at their disposal, Wrexham were always going to throw a lot at us, and it took a great strike to put us away.

We’ve played worse this season, but it’s not what we need. We need to turn these better performances into points sharpish
