Re-arranged fixture from earlier in the season when our match was abandoned due to our waterlogged pitch being even soppier than Carver's teddy bear which he used to wipe away his tears of dismay and frustration before throwing it out of his pram.

We haven't won at home, Carlisle haven't won away. Two decent defences and two attacks that don't really score much. Doesn't have all the hallmarks of a classic. Think we'll be seeing some changes in our lineup tonight. I'm hoping we revert back to a three in the middle of the park. I'm going with...

Crocombe
Efete--Waterfall--Smith--The Rubbish Glennon
Green--Hunt--Holohan
Khan--Taylor--Clifton

...if Hurst is going two up top then I sincerely hope he gives Orsi a start as he's more than earnt one in my opinion.

Predicting 0-0.

They should have rearranged this fixture to be played at our ground instead so it can be competed on a 21st century pitch.

I just wonder what bollocks we'll have to put up with this time.

Our squad is still decimated with injuries and we have pretty much nothing going forward.

We’ve been terrible away from home, really poor on Saturday at Newport. Simpson was not happy with it at all. Big improvements needed if we are going to end this dismal winless run on the road.

With all the injuries and our poor away performances, I can see nothing but a home win unfortunately.

Grimsby 2-0 Carlisle

Grimsby not won at home; Carlisle not won away.

1-1, Messrs Waterfall and Huntington with headers from set piece crosses

Waterfall to score anytime is 10/1. Not bad odds that.

Now you know how it feels for everyone on this forum every time you log on.

I can't help but feel depressed when I see we're playing Grimsby and I'm going to have to watch a match at your shit tip of a ground once again.

A nice 4-0 thrashing for us will make me feel better.

Abandoned, Due to The town of Grimsby having neither a football club or ground.

Would love to see Carvers face when he sees our gleaming pitch in an hour or so

Our manager even praised the standard of Grimsby’s pitch after the postponement.

I hope we play both Back and Whelan at right back. Just to double up and try to nullify the threat down Grimsby’s left side.

Same starting lineup that played so shit against Newport.

This is a nailed on defeat.

And looks like another has dropped injured. This time Sonny Hilton. We’ll have no players left in a months time. 2 to 3 players are getting crocked every single week.

Quite possibly the weakest looking Carlisle United bench I’ve ever seen.

The starting lineup doesn’t look much better either. Weak weak weak. So much so that Grimsby have rested Anthony Glennon.

Amending my prediction from 2-0 to a 4-0 defeat.

Really surprised that you say that about Glennon as from my vantage point on Saturday he was a very good attacking option. Having said that I was tending to concentrate on our players so I may have misread the situation?

Bit of a nonsense idea that Grimsby are resting players because their manager doesn't rate our team

1-0 up

Been some rather desperate defending by us at times, you'd hope we can sort ourselves out because half-time is a long way away if we were hoping to get through to the break before steadying ourselves

Glennon is quality, I call him The Rubbish Glennon because it's what the Carlisle fans think of him.

Excellent start to this game, 2-0 up before half time, but I feel if this was against a better side we'd have been put to the sword. We need to see this game out if we have any ambition to avoid relegation this season.

Load of rubbish, loads of possession, and every time playing it backwards. Don't think we have created a single decent chance, all been long shots. Carlisle have pretty much got in our box twice and scored both times, both mistakes from Efete. No forward movement from us, we desperately need a proper striker and it shows. Khan looks a decent player, that's about the only good thing so far.
