Piss poor 2nd half.

If Okonkwo has a fracture jaw as suspected, atleast a month out. A lot of games in that period, could kill our season

Looking at the fixtures a treble on Mansfield, Notts and MK looks nailed on right?

There good sides all with talented managers , all at home.

Odds won't be great but that's my midweek bet.

Let down badly by two of the three in the treble. I can excuse MK a little because I hadn't factored in Grimsby's almost inevitable new manager effect. As for Mansfield...... Disgusting behaviour? Looked a nailed on bouncebackability game after suffering their first defeat of the season.

Oh and well done Notts, the usual 45 of meh and 45 of yeah wins it against Joe Average opposition.

Standard.

Gillingham won't get a more fortunate 3 points all season. The better team lost.
You hit the post and did more or less nothing else. We had two chances and took one. Apart from that NOTHING happened in that game, so I can only assume that this is a post-game strop?

We genuinely could’ve scored 5 but in the same breath could’ve lost it at the end.

The style of football is already different and I’ve already seen enough to feel excited about the football we’re going to play.

That's the benefit of witnessing Hurstball.

We were brilliant tonight and should have won, but then MK Dons missed the easiest chance you will ever see with the last kick of the game.
Still would’ve happily taken a point beforehand and that performance was ridiculously good given the rubbish we’ve served up so far this season.

Not at all. Bugiel should've scored with a header,Al Hamadi also should've hit the target and we hit the post all from the 65th minute . Nothing happened up until the 65th minute. Only one team looked like winning it from then onwards.

Should have won, missed alot of chances today and dominated the game, but credit to Sutton who defended well. Disappointed not too win, but won't get too down on it. Any point away from home is a decent one especially with a solid home record like ours.

Beat Walsall 2-0, but could and should have been more.
Whitfield scored after 11 mins, but that should have made it 3-0 not 1-0.
Canavan scored the 2nd on 70 mins after Ray set him up.
Walsall were pretty toothless to be honest and they'll probably be looking for a new manager soon...

Best part of that is Taylor getting sent off and is now suspended allowing Stubbs to return.

The best I have seen Town play this season. We should have scored more in the second half and finished them off but lack of composure in front of goal let us down again.

Could have gone either way that in the last 10mins, with both sides missing big chances. Overall though, felt were the better side. Had to deal an early injury to Glennon and no full back to replace him. Raised eyebrows when Artell puts Clifton at left back and brings Alex Hunt on but Hunt really grew into the game. I've been saying since the NL season that he needs to play more advanced. Who'd thought that if you let other CMs do the dirty work instead of asking a 4 foot tall technical player then said player would look decent. Some lovely touches from him, if we're getting him on the edge with regularity like we did tonight, we'll start causing teams problems. Very positive first performance under Artell.

We weren't great tonight, starting with a defence all under 6ft probably wasn't the best idea.

Bradford look a decent side though, big strong and well organised and in Cook they've got a near guaranteed source of goals.

2 cup games, Forest Green Away and then Newport and Colchester at home. If you could pick a time for it to happen...

Worried he'll go in January though, ridiculously too good for this level.

One goal off being second and the best defensive record in the league - but we’re not allowed to talk about that.

not conceded a goal at home in the league for something like 530 minutes (plus probably another 30+ of added times)

Back in the promotion race, with the pressure clearly getting to Mansfield and Wrexham. Fuckin bottlers.

I would advise Crawley to drop the playing out from the back thing, really doesn’t suit em.

Notts League to lose I reckon.

Apart from Barrow who are flying under the radar

Pathetic performance, confidence has totally gone. It feels like we've regressed 5 years in a week, on and off the pitch. We might aswell bring Bentley back in at this rate.

3 cheers to the board.

Over two decades since we last got a league goal at Mansfield and we lost that one 6-1.

Thought it was a decent game and a fair result. Took the lead from a good break by Saunders setting up Jolley and Saunders had the chance to double the score but shot at the keeper when clean through. The hosts were helped by Kieron Morris giving up allowing a ball to be slid into the box for the Mansfield leveller. Thereafter, it was mostly Mansfield, with Rob Apter's quality finish against the run of play putting Rovers ahead again, before a deflection-aided equaliser. Thereafter, despite the occasional foray forward, Mansfield looked the more likely to score again, but we managed to hold on despite Turnbull stupidly getting sent off in added time.

Mansfield played some attractive football, if they could be more clinical in front of goal think would be nailed on for promotion.

What’s the reason for your defence being so good?

We've been pretty moderate for weeks now. That we're one point off second place says a lot about the character of the players and how good the manager is.
It's all about the transfer window for us. Get it right and there's no reason we can't keep in the mix.I
Deserved win tonight and coming back from a goal behind showed spirit.

Thought Crewe were decent, not seen a better team so far this season. So got to be happy with the point. We did our best to help them out first half with some clown like errors at the back. Eventually one was punished but still a good finish. We battled though and got better. 2nd half much more solid and Crewe afforded us plenty of space on the break - should probably have done better with it. But you can’t complain about drawing against a better side with better players. Oddly 4 1-1 draws in a row and 5 unbeaten in the league. We need to pick up wins as well but they’ll come at home, it’s whether we get enough of them.

It’s because teams rock up there expecting them to be shit because they are going under the radar.

That was our 29th loss in 41 league games so far in 2023, with a gd of -43. Not been a stellar year so far, lets hope December is a bit better. Wrexham next, should be a piece of piss.

Do you think you will get out of it Chris or is this the year you drop back down?

We're a mess at the minute, if we sack Horseman, sack our DoF and appoint someone who knows their arse from their elbow at this level then maybe we can get out of it. Oh and fuck Deeney off too, unfit and spends more time having a go at his teammates/fans then doing anything useful on the pitch. Seems to have more authority then our manager.

Don't make a change soon and pretty sure we'll drop back down, we make the same mistakes every week under this shower and to top it off most of our players keep getting injured in training.

Frustrating night in the end as two depleted teams took on each other at Edgeley Park.

Salford had a couple of teenagers in their team and we had a right back and Paddy Madden in our midfield.

We completely dominated the first half with the generally much improved Powell missing two glorious chances, one of which hit the bar. Their keeper made a couple of excellent stops and they cleared one off the line despite the defender knowing nothing about it.

Second half was less impressive from us, though again Cairns made some decent saves and this time there was another miraculously cleared off the line before a final 20 minutes where nothing happened as both teams were knackered but had no options to bring off the bench to make a difference.

The good news is Sarcevic is likely back for our next league game. The bad is Collar isn’t going to be back to February.

We’re going to have to do quite a bit of work on the recruitment front in the next month to hopefully have 3 or 4 players in for the start of January.
