The good news with Ebou Adams no longer banned is we aren't quite as stretched as we would have been, although Nicky Cadden is now out apparently.

Anyone can beat anyone in this league, Not much difference in quality between top and bottom, only difference is some are more consistent then others. If Southend played like they did against us every week they'd be in the top 6, one of the best sides I've seen on the night.

Same goes for Stevenage tonight, they've got some quality players, like Newton and Aitchison up top, if they play well it's going to be a very tough game and they'll fancy beating us. Gotta make sure we're bang at it and hope they aren't. Would take a scrappy 1-0 right now.

D3D4 and Not the top 20 for podcasts, Paul Riley for stattoness (though some of his stuff is behind a £1/month paywall. Following their twitter accounts there's sometimes retweets to other podcasts that are less frequent too. For example there's a guy called Blades Analytics who, despite his name doesn't entirely focus on Sheff Utd. The NTT20 guys usually retweet him if he has anything interesting to say about

Thank you! I’ll check them out.

As suspected we are missing our both of our starting CBs tonight.

Even without them I would like to think we won't lose 5-0 again, we defend much better as a team then back then.

This will be the typical gutsy loss. 1-0 down early which means the game is over as we find it physically impossible to score an equaliser. Cambridge will then get a 2nd late into the 2nd half.

2-0 Cambridge.

Clarke got be taking the piss starting both Whitehead and Robinson. Going online to my bet365 account 3 nil Salford I reckon.

Theo is a good striker, he’s worth a go surely and with Rodney that’s quite pacey. Bet Theo slots home against Cambridge compared to Guthrie for instance.

Whitehead gets the same clean slate... up to him tonight

Just one change.....fonz for isgrove
Maddison on the bench......

Players have come off the bench and scored to win us the points last 4 games
That is why we may not have the best team in the lge......but we have the best squad !!

Did not know Nicky Adams played for these
Loves playing against us, Family are all Bolton fans......and theres plenty of them

I just wish Clarke would pick his best team instead messing about with it like he is in the hope that we might do something. Whitehead hasn't played for about 2 months so shouldn't be starting games and Robinson has had about 15 minutes in the last 6 weeks so these 2 will be nowhere near fit. Robinson doesn't want be here and Whitehead just generally isn't good enough.

Issue is fitness, he’s said that the boys are not near fit enough so he’s having to rotate and protect players. Hence why Gibbo didn’t play Saturday and Monty and Rodney were pulled second half.

Guthrie isn’t scoring so can’t see the harm with Theo, he’s on a 2 year so prove your worth challenge to him really.

We can’t afford more injuries and be playing the kind of XI we did against Barrow, Bradford and Mansfield for instance.

Call me a pessimist, but I'm predicting a loss. Newport always score away, and we haven't kept a clean sheet at home since November. If we struggle to break down Newport, and I suspect we will, I think they could easily nick it.

Hope I'm wrong!
Sadly agree. Vaughan out as predicted and Newport looking much stronger than I'd expected

Robinson is a good striker???
I like you vf16 but mate, you been smoking plastic?
He is utter toss.
Was 4 years ago, is now.
Whitehead is a disgrace of a player.
Absolute pasting on the cards here.

Missing Parkes through suspension and Sweeney through injury, our defence looks a bit light. Fisher dropped and Randall back!
Could be a few goals in this one

I can't even work out what our team is supposed to be, it gets more confusing with each passing game.

Changes to our starting line up.

Furman in for Guy who is allowed to attend to the birth of his second child. Not having Guy isn't ideal but he looked like he could do with a break so combining giving him that with allowing him to put family first probably a wise call. I think a lot of Carlisle fans have been keen to see Furman back in the starting line-up.

Patrick also drops to the bench for Dickenson who will play against the club where he had his most successful spell.

Zanzala left out of the squad as well, with Charters and Armer both making the bench.

also, how foggy is it in Colchester?

We have name the same squad as against Crawley. Which didn't include a development player, however someone on twitter asked the question and apparently for this season it only needs development players to be named in the registered squad list (those over 21) and we have two in Harry Clifton and Max Wright.

I mean overall in his career he’s a good striker, 1 in 3 goal scorer, wasn’t he top or second for goals to minutes last season?

Not saying he’s performed for us because he hasn’t but there is a player in there, maybe Clarke can get a tune.

Pope is out, Cullen has muscles made of spaghetti, Guthrie has zero confidence and Swann isn’t even in the squad.

Nah I think they said there's no chance of it being a problem for the players but they might have to give up trying to commentate since the commentators are watching on ifollow
Hoping all goes well for you for once! Need Colchester dragging into our relegation battle.

Good game at Morecambe

1-1

Lyons off injured for Morecambe. Seemed innocuous to me but carried off.

And Jobi Mcanuff's debut as Orient manager starts with what looks like a significant injury to our CB Thompson.

That sums up our luck right there.

I would imagine it is much clearer in person, although our commentators still seem to be struggling a little on the far side of the pitch. Nice and clear outside my window.

Monty gone off injured early. I do like him as a player but in the same bracket as Manny I do think we need to look at this dispassionately in the summer and ask if we can ever really rely on them to appear enough to warrant another deal.

Feels exactly like the Bolton and Cheltenham games.

Cambridge opener coming soon with a second to follow and it'll end that way
