Based on the table our tough games just keep on coming. I expect Wycombe will have a lot more quality than Plymouth showed us yeterday. Let's hope we return to our free scoring ways as once again I think it will take at least two goals to win this fixture.

Unfortunately think our unbeaten run after Adkins got sacked will end here. Rotherham are a really good team that have dominated just about every team they've faced in the past few weeks, 4-1 Portmouth, 5-1 Sunderland, 3-0 Milton Keynes, and I expect them to do the same here.

Sunderland should be well up for this after losing their last 2. Glad McGeady is banned though with him being an ex player especially.

Playing against the “bigger” sides in the league we’ve beat Rotherham, Wigan, Bolton and drawn at Ipswich and Charlton. It’s against 6 of the bookies 8 favourites to go down we’ve struggled, winning only 2 of 6. So for that reason I’ll call it a draw.

Rotherham are easily the best team in the league as far as I've seen this season.

You do realise who your playing against don't you? Just look at the form table. Everyone thinks there rubbish until they play us.

Yeah, don’t fancy our chances too much tomorrow night. The last two performances have been massively improved and maybe if this game was in a few weeks time I may have expected a bit more.

As it is, all we can ask for is a repeat of the effort and performance from the last two games and that we compete well.

I’m actually looking forward to it now and seeing how we fare whereas a fortnight ago I would have been dreading it.

Yep but it appears our players aren’t playing for the manager and trust me we could have lost by double figures at the weekend so I expect nothing but another loss, to put into perspective since the turn of the year our away stats are W4 D2 L17.

The last few weeks have been breathtaking as a Millers fan and our current side actually looks far stronger and more ‘complete’ than the one that went up last time. Having said that, Charlton are coming off the back of two good wins themselves and, maybe, Purrington will be eager to show us we were wrong to bin him off. I can see a draw looming before we kick on again after the FA Cup.

If we are on our game then we should win. That said if I could add any criticism it would be that when we have played teams lower down we have not always played to the higher standard.
With Charlton's upturn in form this one might not be so straightforward.
A draw might be the right call.

No idea about Ipswich really, I’d presume they have a decent squad with the resources at their disposal.

It’ll be a bigger crowd than usual if nothing else.

Though that will probably favour Ipswich as generally you get the more hardcore fans doing the away trips, more likely to be into it and creating an atmosphere.

Anyway, looking forward to it.

After our brilliant comeback at the weekend it will be a test to see if we continue this against one of the top teams in league 1. Certainly having some injured players back made a huge difference, our problem is quite simple, we have a defense with more holes in than a sieve. Cant see us keeping a clean sheet tomorrow but I can see us winning 2-1 !

Portsmouth are going to pull our pants down tomorrow night.
Don't be too sure of that. We aren't all that good. The Sunderland win was partly down to the farcical conditions and we were lucky to beat an out-of-form Bolton at the weekend.

We've only had one fit centre-half since the beginning of September (self-inflicted) so that remains a weakness that hopefully you won't exploit

If we were at home, I'd fancy our chances, but we've been poor away this season, as our defeat to Doncaster will attest.

Rotherham were excellent against us , it was only our keeper having an absolute blinder that we got a draw.

Both are playing regularly and doing really well.

Long has basically moved to centre-back until further notice and, whilst he's clearly not a natural there, you can't fault what he has done.

Chapman has played in the middle and out on the left and has been really solid. I've mentioned before, it's very easy to forget the lad is only 20. He plays with a maturity many elder players don't. The problem with that though is that when he does make a mistake, he gets criticism that is probably a bit harsher than such a young lad would warrant. Either way, there's been many more positives than negatives in his game.

I and many other Wednesdayites can’t workout the formation tonight looking at the line up. Looks like Callum Paterson will be at either right back or centre back which is his ‘natural’ position despite being a striker for the last few years. Or a right winger if you ask DM!

Theo Corbeanu gets his first start, young winger from Wolves who looks lively. Kamberi and Gregory is probably the slowest front 2 League One has ever seen and Lewis Wing who’s yet to have a good game is in for Dele-Bashiru, arguably our player of the month for October.

Meanwhile in the pizza cup we are essentially playing out under 21s against Arsenal’s under 21s. We have a 16 year old starting and two 15 year olds on the bench. We won’t be proceeding to the next round, so makes sense to give the youngsters a go.
