Massive 3 points tonight.

Birmingham started the better side, but after half an hour, we outclassed and outfought them for the remainder of the match.

Fully deserved 3 points! COYWM!

Great last hour from Bolton who played Birmingham City off the park. They just could not handle Osi tutu and Mendez Gomez and just resorted to foul after foul after foul. How they didn't go down to 10 men is a mystery only the referee can answer. Jay Stansfield was completely ineffective. . Birmingham lost the plot after 90 minutes and the resulting brawl stunk of sore losery as the whole ground chanted "Who are ya". Nice to see the league leaders dispatched so easily, What was Evatt doing with this team ?

Was our goal offside? Haven't seen it back but hearing it came off a Huddersfield player.

There might be another case for a foul.
Hard to tell on TV even. It might have come back to Fletcher off a Huddersfield player? A bit lucky to be given it tbh. Also looked like a foul in the build up by James. Would need to see it again really.

I thought the ref was erratic throughout the game. Both sides can probably feel aggrieved at decisions though so probably evened itself out.

Proper pony result for us tonight. Rotherham were absolute wank but our finishing was woeful and having a complete reserve defence cost us from a set piece yet again. Playoffs hanging by a thread at the moment. Happy fucking birthday to me.

Lost a tight game, should really have got a point - not sure how Kelman missed his chance shortly after Rotherham scored and Jamie Donley very unlucky when his effort went inches wide.

Since beating Wrexham we’ve lost 4 in a row - this is what happens when you over celebrate wins against the stronger teams when you have a weaker squad yourself.

Too many games in such a short period seemed to have caught up with us and we’ve ended up back in a more natural position for ourselves.

Okay I take it back Wigan were absolutely dreadful and came hoping for a point, I honestly reckon if we scored they’d have settled for a 1-0 defeat.

Mansfield tried to win the game and created chances but we’ve got zero confidence and more importantly zero quality in the final third at the minute with Gregory out and Will Evans massively out of form, we just did not have it in us to score despite dominating the entire game.

Good news is we’ve gained a point on the relegation lot, bad news is you will not get a easier team and game than we had against Wigan tonight in L1 all season, but we still hilariously failed to win, that Wigan performance was unbelievably shit. We have no idea how to win games even if we play well, it’s really bad.

Our game was awful. Seriously bad. And the fact Stevenage were terrible yet way better than us was depressing.

Honestly that was one of the worst games of football I’ve ever seen, no exaggeration.

Take a point, could have been more. Look a much better side now Turns is back.
Results went for us too, but really could do with a win on Saturday now.

Very surprised that goal was given, more because it would have been easy to disallow if unsure.

He’d been giving the marginal stuff all night so thought he’d have given James’s shoulder charge in the build up.

Then Fletch is practically on the goal line when it drops to him, there is a Huddersfield player on the line but it seems to me to be the classic amateur move where the officials have forgotten that Fletch is goal-side of the keeper.

The game had draw all over it, but if anybody was going to edge it then it was us.

That Charles miss was massive , another fine bit of recruitment from our sporting director and former Wrexham player Mark Cartwright. Probably not much news to you lot but was in the posh seats last night and was mentioned Mullin has fallen out with the manager

Highlight of the night was the chant “Cambridge is a shithole, I want to go home” sang by the Stevenage fans.

Agents Cartwright, Jake Edwards and Kev Russell doing the business for their former club.

This season has been a bit of a nightmare for Mulls. Had to have surgery in the summer so he had no pre-season and has never managed to get going once he came back. He's now further down the pecking order and can't even get on the bench, so wouldn't massively surprise me if there was some truth in that.

I don't think him and Parky would ever properly fall out but it's become very difficult to see him playing every week here again.

As for the goal I would say it's more likely offside than not but there's no conclusive proof of it. My first instinct when watching it was that it would be ruled out because it just looked weird with Fletcher being behind the keeper.

Tonight wouldn’t have looked out of place in NL South

Think we probably were the better team overall, but I’m not sure that’s anything to really shout about
No chance we'll be in the NL South, we're too far north for that being the only saving grace.

Dreadful game. Another one we probably had to win but didn't. Only positive is the clean sheet. Players are running out of steam as weve got no squad depth at all. Our fittest player looked the 34 year old free agent Wheeler.

You hear it all the time!

Was on the train in the other week with Burton fans. There were probably 10 teenagers trying to get chants going on a rammer train full of families. As we approached Lincoln, they started chanting 'Lincolns a shitole, I want to go home...'

I really don’t get the chant, it’s such a petulant stupid chant, even more amusing when it comes from somewhere like Grimsby, Rotherham (or usually places in yorkshire) when where they’ve came from is a dump.

It’s also one of the reasons why i wouldn’t ever sing it

In fairness, the worst pub I’ve ever been to was the Blue Anchor in Lincoln. If that’s something to judge Lincoln on then the chant was accurate haha.

That was a shocker that, and agree it was massive. There were never many goals in that game, if you had gone ahead I think the best we could have hoped for would have been a draw.

I think frustration has taken it's toll on Mullin, three years of being the main man and he hasn't been able to do it this season (for understandable reasons), Parky hasn't been able to wait on him, and it doesn't surprise me if there has been a fall out. There is talk of personal issues to, probably all stemming from the same place and adding up, he looks shot of confidence, evidenced by his penalty in the trophy shoot out, he has always been lethal but he never looked like he would score that!

I'd like to think that a break and then a proper pre-season (the first for three years) could sort him out and he could still have a lot to offer us, but football is ruthless, and It is more than likely that he moves on in the summer.

Well my pre match pessimism was justified, a game too far for blues

Bolton 3-1 Blues

Battered, bopped, on the night 3rd in a 2 horse race. Full credit to the trotters who pressed and showed higher energy throughout. We took the lead and actually played well until we scored. Not being able to play Allsop and replacing him with the mediocre at best Bailey Peacock Farrell completely affected our defensive confidence, and coupled with a quality wanderers side made it a long nite for us.

Second half was poor from our side, conceded early and we had no response, Bolton got a third late on and that was game over, as said full credit to Bolton, the best we have come across all season and i hope they do well in the play offs.

Our 8th successive Saturday Tuesday week has finally taken its toll which we as fans expected, injuries to key players have not helped. No Anderson Laird Dykes Allsop Leonard Stanno fit enough to start, would affect any team.

Lincoln at home next and we need a response.

Gives us some breathing space, as we're now exactly 13 points of the drop and the playoffs, so we're not in either conversation now for me.
Terrible start and I thought o no here we go again, but that we created plenty of chances and coverted three of them.
Second half Crawley tried to put us under pressure but weren't up to the task.
Young Gardner scored a lovely goal late on , to add a bit of gloss to the scoreline.
Birmingham at the weekend, nothing expected there, followed by Exeter and Bristol Rovers

Two average sides doing their best to try and eke out a win.

Neither team look all that good, first half Orient were the better side with Agyei very dangerous on the counter.

Second half we improved and scored the decisive goal, Agyei disappeared from the game and was subbed.

A draw would probably have been fair but for once the Gods were on our side.

Well done to the Orient fans who made the trip, especially the one who I was sat with in the pub before the game who had come up from Brighton, that's dedication.

Why would you do that. Crazy choice.
The police hounded us in there then didn’t let us out til kick off. This was about 10-15 years ago. Yeah the memory has traumatised me since.

Content with a point against Stockport but its back to back games we have had a 1 goal lead and conceded fairly late on. Have to find a way to get that second goal to help us secure 3 points. That being said we are slowly accumulating points so hoping we can keep the slight buffer we have above the drop zone. Orient away next.

Tbf every team sings it to us, you included!

Though if all they get to see of Exeter is Sidwell Street then fair enough

We're not great defensively but crikey, Crawley. Our games against them this season have been 0-3, 4-3 and 4-1.

Important three points ahead of Birmingham on Saturday.
