Looks annoyingly like no change for us in terms of the manager which I half expected but frankly Crosby is the luckiest manager in the 92 as almost anywhere else this would not have been tolerated. But hey our owner likes to think she does things differently to every one else, yeah and it will lead to L2.

Would say it’ll turn toxic if we lose this to an Orient team having a good season but no fucker will be there in all likelihood. If Burton and Cheltenham could kindly draw and Stevenage win that would be nice.

Burton-Chelts is a tasty (if you’re sick) relegation six-pointer.

Not a Stevenage fan but I’ll quietly be backing them on Tues.

If no statement at 9am tomorrow this has one of those wins that always seem to crop up when he’s hanging by a thread, he’s had more lives than a cat in that respect this season!

He should of gone after the Cheltenham debacle… we beat Mansfield to make the QF days later, he was under huge pressure after the Stevenage cup throw away.. days later we outclass Wigan, he should then have gone after Boxing Day and we batter Blackpool 3 days after that. Somehow he always finds a result when his jobs looking doomed.

It’s a big game regardless, we need a massive reaction and anything less will be a disgrace, all the apologies mean sod all if they don’t do all the can to put in a performance at the very least.

A bad showing or result here and there will be a lot of anger around the place and rightly so.

We simply have to win - playing well and losing isn't going to save us, neither are draws now.

Exeter, Cambridge double please
Yep, definitely take that. In fairness, I’d take anything other than a defeat from our game with Bolton. I fancy another 0-0. And I know Exeter are below us but anything to hold back the scum would always be welcome.

If we play like we did Saturday it’s an easy away win. We had 5 strikers and still could not score. We look absolutely dreadful.
It’s not must win. But it’s must not lose.

Bolton will be a tough game but I’m optimistic as Bolton have struggled at the abbey stadium the last few season.

Depends which team Evatt turns out and which team turns up........Just after half time Saturday for 20 mins was awful.
Without Santos we are still playing shite tippy tappy football but with players who are not comfortable playing this way.
Barnsley missed three or should i say Baxter pulled off three great saves.
We invite the opposition to press us and we continually lose the ball at the back. Gethin Jones may be back and Forrester so we may not be as bad midweek.
Collins should start hopefully with Charles. Thomason is also back after a two week suspension
Doubt it will be 0-0

Well, we’ve won 5 out of 7 and are the only unbeaten L1 side in 2024… but can we do it on a cold Tuesday night in Burslem? Probably not. We’re often shite at Vale Park like the tippy-tappy southern softies we are.

Omar Beckles won’t be starting, so Brandon Cooper will be coming in and he’s a liability in the air. First goal will be absolutely vital. Reckon our young side will take the night off if Vale get one early.

You're crediting us with being a capable side there! We'll definitely concede and struggle to score...can see it being comfortable for you.

We will know a lot more tomorrow night about our survival hopes, if we dont see a massive reaction after Saturdays performance then we are done, they had no fight and desire and a lack of effort and its all good an well the apologies and promises to put it right tomorrow but we have to see that regardless of result.

That said Crosby couldn't motivate this lot in the quarter final of a major cup competition, likely the biggest game the majority of this squad will ever play so not holding my breath really.

Stunned he has kept his job after Saturday, it was probably the lowest we've performed in years and we've had some right dire performances since promotion. That said a lot at Vale Park is surprising at the moment.

Just to add to the positive vibes ahead of this one... we haven't won a midweek night league game since April 5th 2022... 22 months ago! (thats about 7 league games left to write off then).

Our last win at this level on a midweek night was Walsall in April 2017!

Well it looks as though no change ahead of tomorrow for us. Almost nothing from the club other than the generic tweet about next opposition and link for the tickets. That’s their way of saying he’ll still be here for the foreseeable future. Maybe the incoming crowd of barely over 4000 might influence them but not much else seems to.

Even if we don’t have an explosive attack you can still be in games with tight defence and just being nasty. Unfortunately everything on the coaching staff down they’re all just very nice boys, not what you want in a scrap as they showed Saturday.

Some interesting Orient-esque stats there!

As already stated we will make one change at the very least, possibly a few more due to all the games we will play this month.

We have a talented, but young team - they do occasionally get a bit complacent when nothing happens in games or we seem comfortable.

We will have to lose at somepoint and our record at VP is dire, as you say, when you see your team play as bad as you say yours did Saturday you want to see some sort of a reaction, so if this comes it won't be a suprise as I have seen this before.

Wellens won't be on the touchline as he is banned, it will be our lowest away crowd this season for sure, if we scrape 300 we will be lucky. I am going on my own as even my friends who I go with all the time cannot make it.

Can only applaud that commitment midweek. I’m still toying with do I go or just stick it on iFollow. This fixture if memory serves was moved due to an international break. As it happens our players had actually said they wanted to play that game on the Saturday but our owner admitted on the radio a couple of weeks back she got a bit excited about the sound of one of our games being off due to international call ups so encouraged them to postpone. So here we are with a midweek backlog all through February.

If Orient are strong down the right then that is a good start to beating us as repeatedly now teams are punishing us on our left as Grant seems scared of re-injuring himself and Iacovitti moves like he is carrying a piano on his back.

An opportunity for Fleetwood to show the weekends win over Port Vale was not a one off. Bristol Rovers will be a tough ask so quite simply are the team good enough to get something from the game
We are all eternal optimists so a fighting draw for the Cods which quite frankly will be neither use nor ornament
1-1

Fair play.
Anyone who travels Tuesday night to watch league 1 garbage deserves a medal.
We’ve got a box , and I’ve only been 1 Tuesday night game all season.
Now we’ve sacked Crosby we may be a different animal.
I doubt it thought.

Probably get a beating tomorrow. Archie Collins will no doubt run the midfield.
Might not bother turning up until half time, we haven't scored at home in the first half since August..

Last win in the league against Cambridge was 1985, funnily enough I was there that day

I’m going tonight but dreading it tbh. Peterborough will probably bounce back from their weekend loss and tear us a new one. Looking forward to seeing Joel Randall in the flesh…When we had him it was the Covid season so never got to see him live, so it’ll be nice to see him take us to the cleaners later!!

But, who knows, we may put in a great performance and come away with something. Expecting Eisa and Harris to both start, which will add more quality for sure. First goal is so crucial.

Our youth manager is taking the team tonight... David Dunn I assume has left also.

No Baxter tonight by the sounds of it now too as he’s apparently fractured a finger. So no Santos and no decent gk. Our injury record this season has been horrific. Especially defensively

Feels like we're a bit of a disorganised mess going into tonight. Queue a comfortable home win!
