"Ridiculous" is right, not in a cool way - it includes half a dozen really heavy (literally loads of vinyl in each disc) Romanian Folklorica LPs picked up on the early 90's travels. I also found this gem by Stefan Hrusca.

Bit early for Xmas but here we go

As the sleeve notes say:

"Romanian carols are not simple songs with religious origin, but wide windows through which we are allowed, once in a year, to go - by the immaculate snow - towards the evergreen Heaven and to eye-touch (glimpse?) God, at least for an instant, in order to give us the power to surpass life's obstacles.............."

That's really quite lovely.

Sorry Vanni, here you go. Intastella were a fairly second-division Madchester band, I saw them once at the Hacienda. I think this was their most famous song.

TBH I've heard of them but I was thinking of other forum members who hadn't There were literally hundreds of similar bands back at the time, including loads who still remain virtually unknown to this day, although IIRC Intastella were fairly well known for a time. Personally, I was never a fan of the whole Madchester/related scene because IMO these bands were only good at writing a decent tune or two but simply incapable of following their Top 40 (or higher) singles with a solid album. Of course, there were some exceptions, but not many.
