4 league games a season you said. Both them burton games, Northampton game and both millwall games were playoff games they are not normal league games. So you were on 0 times in 2013 and once last season and 0 times so far this season , my point proven that no one in this league is on 4 times a year

We're never really on.

Last time was Chelsea away last season in the FA Cup and the last time in the league was Fleetwood in the 2013/14 season. If we keep playing the way we are we'll surely be on sometime after christmas.

Don't fret too much. We were essentially doing exactly what you're doing this season last year and we avoided the tv til January. Then we blew a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 at Wigan and we've been terrible ever since. I'm blaming the tv.

Even the season we won promo to the prem when us and Ipswich were probably the most attractive footballing sides in the division, we were only on 2/3 times until the last game of the season. One of those was home to West Brom, a mid table team who were featured at least 8 times.

My very initial post was claiming an average of 4 televised games per season over recent year, not focusing primarily on league fixtures. However, I was wrong, as the ball game was changed, as play-offs and Cup games didn't count (because at that point, he was losing the debate). It just seemed that many, as we have featured a lot on tv recently.....24/25 times in the last 3/4 years.

We are not a draw for the TV and armchair fan. A small town unfashionable club with small gates. The majority of Sky viewers have zero association with Scunny (steel industry aside) and most would be unable to point to it on a bare map. There is absolutely nothing in it for Sky. I know our Chairman showed up Jeff Stelling last season, but that would not be taken into consideration.

For the real lower league fans and maybe others from the higher up leagues, there will be an interest in seeing who and what this Scunny side is all about. Clear at the top of L1, scoring goals for fun, a very dangerous trio in Van Veen, Madden and Morris. Unfortunately, Sky does not cater for the real fans and will only see 'ickle Scunthorpe as of no interest. Consider what their advertisers might think about being mentioned in the same breath.

I'm afraid you real and true supporters will have to wait until we are in town or travel to your away fixture at Glanford Park. That's a good thing, because if we were televised, we would likely lose and not score. It would be the Scunny way.
