Anyone know why the fuck Forest v Derby has not been selected?
Because it's a tinpot derby?Anyone know why the fuck Forest v Derby has not been selected?
that's my word I'm assuming you're joking but I like that Derby.Because it's a tinpot derby?
Because it's a tinpot derby?
what is it then? Not even a derby in my opinion.
what is it then?
fair enough. I'd say it's way more heated than villa v wolves or Sheffield Utd v Barnsley but I see where you're coming from.Imo which i know may not be right I only class a derby as two same city clubs so like us and your city. Forest derby is notts county. Forest v derby is just a local ish game like you v Wolverhampton or us v barnsley.

So no-one who is in a one-club town/city is allowed a derby? Seems a little unfair!Imo which i know may not be right I only class a derby as two same city clubs so like us and your city. Forest derby is notts county. Forest v derby is just a local ish game like you v Wolverhampton or us v barnsley.

The definition is subjective but inner city derbies generally seem to be fiercer. That's a good point I suppose and I did say it was only my opinion that doesn't mean I'm right. Is there actually a proper definition of a football derby?
The only two derbies in the UK that require all away fans to be bussed in aren't same city derbies; in fact in one case they're in separate countries! On the whole I do agree though. The definition is subjective but inner city derbies generally seem to be fiercer.
Blackburn Burnley and City Cardiff is it? Though having said that, City Cardiff wasn't a bubble match this season, but it will be next season if we're in the same division after the trouble at their place on the Friday night. The only two derbies in the UK that require all away fans to be bussed in aren't same city derbies; in fact in one case they're in separate countries! Us/dingles and Chester/Wrexham are the ones that are consistently bubble games IIRCBlackburn Burnley and City Cardiff is it? BBC were keen to emphasise how Man Utd v Blackburn in the cup is a derby game....I am in agreement with blademan89 in that any proper derby is that between 2 sides from the same city.
If you are not 'fortunate' to be a 2 team city then I can stretch it being in the same county but some of these matches being classed as 'derby' games is getting ridiculous
It's a different kind of rivalry. I would say that traditionally an in-city derby is about being the best team in your city, and as fans you're much more likely to have regular contact with fans of the opposing team (at school, work, etc). An inter-city derby has a wider significance, it's about which town/city (or even county) is better, and for fans there's more of the 'other' where you only see the opponents twice a year. I'm not saying one is better than the other, they're just different.I am in agreement with blademan89 in that any proper derby is that between 2 sides from the same city.

The BBC can fuck off with that.BBC were keen to emphasise how Man Utd v Blackburn in the cup is a derby game....
When are the next set of Sky fixtures likely to be released?
Got a feeling they will try and sabotage our Newcastle weekend.

If you drink in pubs that have sky.... You do give them money, sad but true. Our game at Newcastle is going to be moved to Monday night (club already know its getting moved). I've already got hotels booked for Friday and Saturday so that's me watching it on TV.
Fucking despise Sky, would never give them a penny.
