Before anyone gets too upset with this: Firstly, I accept this comes across as terrible trolling and I am going to stand in the corner and think about WHAT I'VE DONE. Secondly, I put real work into this trolling and have another fifty players on a list ranked 84-85, so your overlooked superstar is probably just as good as Sean Shields but naturally a few levels less good than Paul Mullin. But there is an opportunity here to debate just who are the National League's best players. Who have I missed? Who have I got horribly wrong? Thirdly, I would be willing to amend this just like FIFA Ultimate Team at various points throughout the season, based on form, and this could actually end up being another valuable scouting tool for James Rowe and Ian Burchnall.

Wootton is on 85 so is basically just missed the top 50 cut off. Has the potential to be a Paul McCallum one day. Jordan Cranston is about as good as left backs get at this level. Tom Knowles is 83, good potential.

Cranston was okay for us and that was in League One. Not seen much of him at Moors, but not surprised if he’s very good in this league.

In all seriousness, it’s really hard to compare players, particularly in a league like this where there’s such a range. Our two top ones are obviously right and their ceiling is massive, both will play in at least League One if they do everything right (and Roberts has more luck with injuries), but I don’t know how you compare that kind of potential to someone like Cheek who is probably at his level but produces year in, year out.

Yeah he's a bit of a strange inclusion on that list. He's got reasonable ability, but genuinely seems to think he's the best defender in the league which he clearly isn't. So dislikeable even when he plays well.
