Really depends on who you're playing, but when it normally tends to be screaming 8 year olds who rage at everything possible then I agree with you.

This gives me an idea for one in here...

Online communities like Xbox Live and PSN and nowhere near as full of screaming kids as people seem to say they are. Want to know a fact? In all of my years of playing games online, I can only really think of one occasion where I saw one of these people. They're rare as fuck.

The Vita is infinitely better than the vastly overrated 3DS.

Leave. And never grace us with your presence again.

I just saw this.

I personally didn't see a problem with Raging Blast 2. I actually really enjoyed it and never understood the poor reviews. Maybe its just because I'm a Dragonball Z fan.

To be fair, I did play the Wii version of Budokai Tenkaichi 3 so I'm not sure how it was on other consoles. Just based on what I've played, I like RB2 better. Heard the first one was shit though.

Really? I see them on a pretty regular basis. Not saying it's a bad thing for you mind.

That's odd

Maybe it's because like half of my online gaming is on Halo... perhaps the kids just don't play that. But then again, I swear that Halo is only second to Cod for people moaning about kids all over it.

That's your issue I think, it was fantastic on the PS2 without all the motion control bollocks. I personally can't stand Raging Blast, was too clunky. Xenoverse is the first game I've really enjoyed in the Dragonball Z series since Tenkaichi 3. And I'm also a Dragonball Z fan, I can't see many non-fans playing the games.

If you've only played the first Raging Blast, I would understand why you say that. I really, really liked the second one though.

I've played bits and bobs of the second one also, but after my disappointment at the first one, I couldn't justify splashing £30 on it, it's still around £15 now I think, so stuff that.

- Oblivion is more enjoyable than Skyrim

- Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is stupidly overrated and inferior to every other 16-bit Sonic game, including Sonic CD

- The Final Fantasy series peaked on the Snes

- The N64 has very few games that are worth playing today outside of a small handful of obvious classics

- The Sega Saturn is one of the best consoles ever made

I think N64 had about as many interesting/good games as any other console has since, bar the PS2. It has always lacked third party support, but honestly:

Banjo-Kazooie
Banjo Tooie
Mario 64
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Lylat Wars
Donkey Kong 64
Harvest Moon
Animal Crossing
Ocarina of Time
Majora's Mask
Mario Kart
Mario Party
Paper Mario
Super Smash Bros

That's an extremely strong first/second party line-up (I've even left out the likes of Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, etc, which I didn't like) and most of those still hold up really well.

I would add Sin and Punishment to your list, which is excellent and definitely one of the best games on the system.

Regarding the bolded:

- Banjo Tooie and Donkey Kong 64 are decent (but not great) games that feel like regressions compared to previous iterations in their respective series.

- Lylat Wars is alright, but completely outclassed by Panzer Dragoon Zwei which came out a year earlier.

- Harvest Moon got boring for me once I got past the novelty factor. The same may well be true of Animal Crossing, but I haven't played it so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.

- I've always found the whole Mario as an RPG concept weird, and don't think it's ever been particularly well executed apart from Paper Mario 2 on the Gamecube, which was really good.

You are right to leave out Goldeneye and Perfect Dark both of which have aged really, really badly. So that leaves us with, what, ten really good games? Maybe 15 if we're being generous and include the few that we disagree on? Seems pretty consistent with my description of a "small handful of obvious classics".

The Xbox One will end up more popular than the PS4
If that does happen, it won't be for a very long time. Considering PS4 is about 8-10 million units ahead already...

I think it would be better to compare. I haven't got the time right now but when I get home I'll have a look at the first party/2nd party games for other consoles since. I have a good feeling that most, if not all, of those consoles have a similar lack of strength in depth. The PS2 obvs being the exception for reasons already stated.

But maybe this is the wrong argument. I think the N64 still gets talked up because it offered a genre or spirit of game that is rarely made now, and when it is it's rarely made well (especially well made Rare games, heh heh).

Persona 4 Golden is one of the best games ever. Easily up there with the best RPGs ever at the least.

You know what? I'm gonna back you on that one.

I don't dislike them, really. And in fact, I fucking love Wind Waker. But the rest... they're ok. For a while at least. But I always get bored. OOT on my 3DS... Twilight Princess... Skyward Sword... a couple handheld ones... I've started them all and been really into them to begin with. But then I feel as if it just starts to get a bit old. And for that reason, I never really agree with the god-like status that most people seem to regard the games in.

That being said, every single fucking time a new one comes out I manage to hype myself up for it and trick myself into thinking that I'll love it. And boy, does that next Zelda game look fucking incredible... god damn it, it's happening again.

The new Zelda does look awesome though. You get a spear!
Also Relentless's comment about P4G doesn't seem that unpopular, at least amongst people who've played it.

Final Fantasy VIII is a fantastic game, one of the best in the series in fact. Also, Squall is a better lead character than Cloud, you see far more development from him and learn more about why he is how he is throughout the game. Cloud is just a dick.
