We have the joint fewest points tally in a season when it was 2 points for a win (8) and the most losses in one season (34)

Highest finish in the last 8 years = 15th.

If anyone can match or better that I feel sorry for you because you've been even shitter than us.

Thats also wrong early 90s oldham went up to the top league. They got relegated the same year as us in 94.
1991 Oldham, beat us 3-2 on the final day to win the League.

Which of us has lost to the lowest ranked side in the FA Cup in recent years, say from 2000. I'll start with Brackley and/or Burscough

Most home goals conceded in a season in PL (43 in 2011/12; equals Derby's record in 2007/08)
First and only club to be relegated in successive seasons from PL to League One twice.
Only club to have had two managers within 12 months who were sacked after failing to win a single game. (Terry Connor and Dean Saunders, 2012)
We haven't lost at Hillsborough since September 1964. Oh wait..that's a shit record for them Owls not us.

Yours was from the start but i think We have the fastest red card for a player in the prem. 12 seconds keith gillespie lasted after coming on at reading ,there wasnt actually any play he came on while there was a throw in elbowed someone and off he went, dont think he played ever again.

I think it's us with Chasetown unfortunately when we were held at home and went back to theirs for the reply where Luke Rodgers missed 2 penalties and they scored in the last minute to knock us out.

Wrexham, long-time residents of this parish at one time although getting a bit dim and distant now.

Two unwanted records off the top of my head:

First club to receive a 10 point penalty for going into administration, back in 2004/05 when we in League One and which contributed to our relegation that season.

Finishing the 11/12 season with 98 points and still not getting promoted: no matter how well we played, Fl££twood just splashed more ca$h and stayed ahead.

Were Chasetown still at Step 5 level in those days?

That may be step 5 then. Possibly the same division as Hereford are in now

Southend still hold most consecutive missed penalties by a professional club - 7, back in 1991, when we were actually good, most of them missed by Brett Angell. Dean Austin missed the 1st, then scored against Charlton to break the spell. That team were clearly crap at penalties, because when Austin scored in October of 1991 they then managed to miss 5 more in a row and not score another till September 1992.

I could be wrong but i think we're the only club currently in the football league to have 4 separate points deductions and a total of 40 points taken away.

We were the last league club to install floodlights. Major trauma.

Altrincham have a cool one.

They are the only club to have received reprieves from relegation in 3 successive seasons. (2005-06) (2006/07) (2007/08)

I reckon we are the only club to not get promoted/finish in the play offs/finish in the top 6 of a league in the last 15 years too.

I was giving this some thought and by my reckoning, of the current 92, only three clubs are on a longer run without promotion than you and that's because they've been in the top flight for the entirety of your run (and the same for the other four who haven't won promotion in over 25 years).

100 years - Arsenal (1914/15)
61 years - Everton (1953/54)
53 years - Liverpool (1961/62)
48 years - Coventry (1966/67)
40 years - Man Utd (1974/75)
37 years - Tottenham (1977/78)
27 years - Aston Villa (1987/88)
26 years - Chelsea (1988/89)

Highest finish in the last 8 years = 15th.

If anyone can match or better that I feel sorry for you because you've been even shitter than us.

From 2006/07 onwards (so last 9 years), think it's:

15th - Coventry (2012/13)
11th - Barnsley (2014/15)
8th - Colchester (2009/10), Portsmouth (2007/08)
7th - Blackburn (2007/08), Bolton (2006/07 & 12/13), Bradford (2012/13 & 14/15), Crewe (2011/12), Fulham (2008/09), Plymouth (2014/15)
and then the remaining 82 all have finished top 6 at some point during the last 9 years

Yes - Southend, 1988/89 Division 3 went down on goal difference from Northampton, 54 points. I didn't think that would ever even be equalled, so kudos to Peterborough for joining us!
Wasn't all bad I guess, got promoted straight back the next season and then went up again the next time we saw Division 3.

:lol:The bottom one. That's horrific.

I have a few personal ones.

When the landlord of my local installed BT Sport, the first game he showed was Brackley 1-0 Gillingham :ffs:
I went 4 years without seeing the Gills win away from home
I played in the very first game for a new Sunday league team and we lost 15-0
I ran the line for the Holman SC reserves recently and we lost 18-0, I was technically sub and I am 2 years older than Teddy

Lower I think! British Gas Midlands League I believe.
It may have been the Cannock and District Combination, not sure.
Pretty much pub league and an absolute disgrace by Port Vale over the two games.
Great though.
