Well, League 1 is absolutely barmy.

AFCW looked dead and buried but have put a mini run together, Rochdale will be hoping for a 'bounce', likewise Bradford, although they lost to a 94th minute Oxford goal at the weekend.

For those around these parts interested in Scunthorpe, they seem to play most of the team around them and will have a big say.

In the NL, although Orient are in pole position with being top and having game(s) in hand on Solihull and Wrexham. Salford will need to put a very good run together to take top spot.

Doesn't look like anyone below Ebbsfleet with get into the PO's.

League One is crazy, you could also possibly add Blackpool into that if the EFL decide to deduct points (which I hope they dont)

For us, I’d like Plymouth, Bristol Rovers and Oxford have total mares from now on and go down with AFC Wimbledon (assuming we don’t go up, naturally). There’s far too many Northern types in L2 at the moment for my liking.

Looking at the L1 table, I would definitely like to see Oxford come down, only because Derry the Clown is a first team coach over there. Rochdale to join them as they're the very definition of a L2 club. Walsall have been in L1 for quite some time now so they're free to join us too. Don't need to say anything about Bradford, they look dead and buried.

Up from the connie, well that's not so hard - Orient and Wrexham please but I'm not expecting the latter to come up; they always bottle it come March. There's not a lot to choose out of the others so why not Solihull? Anyone really but Salford.

Bradford Scunny Rochdale and A N Other to come down please purely down to location as we are definitely losing Lincoln and potentially Mansfield and Notts as well from League 2.

From the National League Orient and Wrexham please or basically anyone but fucking Salford.

Bradford, Dale, Walsall and Scunny please.

And Orient and Wrexham. Failing that, and its unlikely, but Gateshead is 10 minutes away so they’d do nicely.

It’s hard to say as don’t know what division we’ll be in.

But it’d be good to have games against Scunthorpe and Rochdale

As for the NL teams whereas I hope we’re not here next term it’d be good if a proper club came up (that rule wouldn’t apply to chesterfield)

Solihull and Harrogate coming up would be interesting, two teams you'd never have thought would be Football League clubs.

The League 1 relegation battle is always like this, every season without fail.
It's the best relegation dogfight for any division bar none.

Bradford are basically the L1 us this year. Some high profile summer signings, lots of people tipping them for promotion.. but a total mess behind the scenes and managerial changes, and now they are bottom and looking like relegation faves. I doubt their fans thought they would be back down here so soon though.

It's never this close though

This year does seem to be exceptional but usually there are about 8 teams still at risk of relegation from League 1 going into the final week of the season.
The League 2 relegation battles in 05/06 (which we survived) and 12/13 (which we failed on goal difference) were corkers too. However, there have been some dull League 2 relegation battles too.

You say that, but a few years ago I would never have thought Forest Green Rovers (I grew up in Gloucestershire) would have been a Football League Club, and its definitely not interesting (unless you are a vegan maybe)

;)

Wimbledon, Oxford ,Bristol Rovers and Southend from League 1 and Orient from the Conference would be ideal as a London based fan.

We'd clearly been a football league club in waiting for many years though, feels like our natural level now but you can't say the same about those two tbf.

From a biased point of view I'd like the clubs nearby.

I've always enjoyed the Orient games so definitely them to come up please. I doubt they give a monkies about us though. Great memories of playing Solihull and Moor Green so that wouldn't be amiss either. Not sure we should deprive the National league of their longest serving members so leave Wrexham there.

Bradford shouldn't be in league two. If we have to have any of the Northern teams they would be best but when they get their act together they'll be off. It would be nice to puncture the air of entitlement in the media and message boards around Wimbledon (though not the fans) and I have family near Southend so two birds with one stone (not that I want to throw stones at my family....????). Finally, I can't help thinking Scunthorpe may be in trouble.

As predictions go that's wishy-washy but it will have to do.

You were never a football league club in the waiting, especially not for many years.

Spent 19 years one promotion away. Moved in to a Football League graded stadium in 06, finished in and around the playoffs 6 years running before we went up. Hardly promoted out of the blue, were we?

You wouldn't have even remained in the Conference if it wasn't for Northwich Victoria in 2004/2005 because of stadium problems.

The same happened to you again in 2009/2010 when you finished in the relegation zone but Salisbury's being expelled kept you up.

I remember when we were in the conference you were a laughing stock then and one of the 'Fuck sake, this tin pot club again with 10 fans' matches.

If you rightly got relegated on one of those occasions you'd have disappeared into the abyss, and rightly so.

Don't act like you were edging on the promotion to the footy league for years and years. It's utter nonsense. You were woeful in the Conference until some rich vegan owner took over and invested loads. And even then it was a slow process and only ever showed any real chances of promotion like 2 or 3 years before you were promoted.

We challenged for the playoffs in 07-08 under Jim Harvey, when we had Fleetwood and Beesley up front. That was long before Vince took over. Remember Fleetwood scoring a hat trick at your place with well over 200 of us there out singing the home fans. On a Tuesday night.
