Could have asked a different question or responded with some half decent bluster - seems like "NolansOrient" managed to cover off the one you went with.

We only have one home league win since Boxing Day so this isn't a massive upset.

You sound like you missed me earlier. Alas, I was spending the day with mater for her birthday. It was pretty much like the events of Psycho, naturally.

Don't think anyone is painting it as a huge upset. We've been exceptional away from Brisbane Road since Nolan arrived. Just a small upset. Still only rate our top 7 chances as 50-50, though we do have a fairly kind set of fixtures from here on in. A lot depends on whether or not we get Baudry's red overturned.

If he's the one who got sent off today - I really doubt it.

Was 100% a foul and an easy yellow, but the referee had been very particular about not booking anyone and in the area of the pitch where it occurred, it seemed a bit odd (to me). Can't see there are grounds to overturn it now it's happened though.

Just watched it. Never a red. Cynical, certainly, but in no way reckless or 'with excessive force' or whatever bollocks they use to grade cards these days.

Think I'm going to have a long night - no way I can get to sleep without a threat of physical violence from my undoubtedly intoxicated paramour, Eric, to toss myself off to.

I miss him, I've never known somebody associated with the city of Oxford to be as stupid as he was.

A bit like Eric Read was to us on here? You give it out, you get it back as you should well know! :box:

What a terrible philosophy to live your life by.

As for what I should and shouldn't know, I am quite sure I have no idea what you're talking about.

You Leyton Orient fans are buggers for leading me into a false sense of security with this match. I'm not sure why we had so many players not turn up yesterday.

To be fair, none of us had any idea that Brisley was going to be playing after being knocked out cold last week. The thought of Connor The Tame Giraffe starting a game was enough to send a shiver of defeatism down any spine.

That, and no-one saw 4-4-2 with Jahraldo-Martin up top either. It's almost as if Nolan has half a clue when it comes to setting up a side tactically. It's all a bit confusing for us - the mixture of fear and awe is a bit like when a child from Canvey sees a two-storey house for the first time.

Double or quits on the playoffs, I reckon. Still, we've got Dagenham, Yeovil, York, Hartlepool, Morecambe, Barnet and free-falling Mansfield to come, so I wouldn't be counting any chickens yet.

I thought we deserved the win overall, created the better chances in a very tight game.

We managed to score when we was on top, Oxford only really threatened in the final ten minutes I thought.

The referee was an odd one, he gave Baudry a red card which wasn't one and he denied Oxford a stonewall penalty when Binnon-Williams made a very very clumsy tackle right at the start of the second half.

We have been better away from home under Nolan, usually because the home sides have to go out and try and win the game and we get a bit more space to make a few chances.

From our perspective, I thought it was another excellent performance away from home from ourselves.

Completely agree with all of this, saved me 5 minutes writing up what i watched. We livened up when Alex MacDonald came on and provided some width and structure. Neither full back gets forward well enough (and Kenny had by far his worst game for us yesterday) so we can't afford to have no wingers either. We're half as good without George Baldock.

Orient had a few conference players (that 30 and the lad that took out Sercombe for the non-pen) that make them a playoff team rather than a top 3 team, but the majority looked a cut above this league; especially McAnuff. I'd be shocked if they didn't finish in the top 7. The only better sides to visit the Kassam this year were Northampton and Rovers.

Do I just choose to pay attention to Oxford when they perform poorly?!

Lot of the pre match doom and gloom came because there was a high chance Connor Essam was going to start

I'll just let that (goals 2+3) sum him up. Fortunately Brisley came in and he is a big player. Baudry's suspension though is huge if it's upheld, whilst I think a yellow would have sufficed I'm not really expectant of an appeal working.

On a side note, I see 'Super Sammy' didn't make the bench, injured or left out?
