Episode 4
Previous 3 all ended 1-1 , discounting extra time.
Amazing to think Yeovil were booed off after struggling to beat our 9 men now look at them .
Gibbons 3 appearances v Yeovil and 2 red cards :brill:, hopefully doesn't get his hat trick this weekend.

After such an insipid affair at FGR and being locked in the dressing room then hopefully it was the wake up call we needed that we are not yet safe.

Got to go 4th time lucky as we should of easily won the home cup tie and by all accounts were a shade unlucky not to win in the League( goalkeeping howler ).

Vale 2-0 4123 crowd

Yeah would love to win this one after three very frustrating encounters so far, certainly should of won the first two and the 9 man game was an incredible effort.

Play as we did against FGR we will struggle, play as we have during December we will win comfortably... lets see which Vale turn up! After a couple of keeper howlers, an undeserved last minute equalizer and three red cards in the previous three games we are massively due some fortune against these.

Seems to be a suggest Ryan Dickson is it? will get some stick for his antics in getting Gibbo sent off which means he will be like Roberto Carlos as that always goes against us!

Think we will win this one 2-1 Pope and Whitfield, Yeovil score late on to make a nervy ending.

Fancy us for this one, they can`t get so lucky again can they? Hopefully Wilson on his debut will rip them apart.

Confusion about his involvement, Wolves say hes playing tomorrow for their U23's and with us from Monday!

We need to bounce back here.

Can we play with 9 men?

Hopefully we can keep focussed after all the fuss over the last few days. Our league form is patchy at best but since Christmas we've shown we're a decent side when we've got some confidence.

The first cup game at Vale was the worst game of football i've ever witnessed live so this one has got to be an improvement. We've nearly got a squad now rather than a team now with 4 loan signings in the last week who have all done well so far. We might even fill the bench on Saturday if we're lucky.

I'll go for yet another 1-1 as Marcus Barnes gets his 2nd for us.

BTW we've been down to 9 men twice this season. Lost em both.

Because of the FA Cup and Checkatrade draws this Port Vale game is our only away match in 9. Our pitch is going to take a battering.

Interesting, Gibbo and Worrall dropped (so no third red card against Yeovil Gibbo). Worrall had a shitter at FGR mind. New lad Wilson on the bench.

Bench is very very attacking!

Dire performance, dire referee and freezing. Huge team talk now for Aspin.

How their lad doesn’t see red considering the cards we got at their place is questionable too. Their antics are frustrating

Poor performance but never been happier to mug a side off than today considering previous games and some of the worst gamesmanship I’ve seen since Westley bought a side to VP!

Red? Who do you mean? There wasn't a bad incident in the game!

Really disappointed to lose two points in such a dubious fashion. We really should have put the game to bed before that and had several chances that with more luck would have gone in. Vale didn't create anything of any note mainly due to how solid we were at the back.

I've now been told by a Vale fan that there was an elbow from Surridge. At the time we were all perplexed as to why the Vale player was rolling on the ground after what looked like a gentle bump but i'll wait for the highlights to see it again.

I was sat right by where it was and Surridge blatantly and visciously elbowed Davis in the head. He should’ve walked for it.

That said, we’ve stole a point because we were complete garbage today and deserved nothing from the game. Even had you had 10 men we still wouldn’t have created anything of note.

Your keeper is an example of a decent keeper at this level. Commanded his area, used his mouth and came confidently for everything that was in the air in the box.

Karma to be fair over the four games.

Yeovil were the best side today and should have scored 4 or 5 but there still a dirty cheating diving time wasting team.

The number 15 was an embarrassment, didn’t get the delaying of kick off both halves having a big cuddle either? First half Kay sneaked in to have a listen!

The difference was the elbow you didn’t have our lads crowding the referee and him bashing the floor with his hand like Dickson at their place for example (got some stick today). Had we don’t that maybe he’d be off. Although Wray in his interview moaning about our fans influencing decisions!!! We barely got one until the penalty!

Performance wise it was the worst since Brown, pretty much the same XI that blew Luton away but our final ball and decision making was so poor. Monty was dour, Pugh made a great tackle then farted about and gave it straight back for their goal.

We seem to be zonked of confidence and ideas again, two dire performances on the back of a month of totally different performances.

Massively need to nip it in the bud and get back to the level we were at a fortnight ago.

No fucking need for this shit. No wonder we have a bad reputation for racism when we have morons like yourself saying garbage like this.

Didn’t see that, totally unnecessary to use that term.

Thanks I will now go self harm

Oh come off it, pal. Hide behind mental health issues all you like but that doesn’t gloss over the fact that you’ve made a vile, vile racist and archaic comment.

Make comments like that and people will call you out.

If you’re serious about what you said then I suggest you give Samaritans a call.

Your fault im srlf harming

Mate I know you struggle with issues you’ve mentioned in the past but you can’t use racial language on a forum. We were all frustrated by the antics today (not helped by the ones in the cup too) but didn’t need that term adding... we’ve got black players for example and it certainly wasn’t solely their black players guilty of it either.

Artur Krysiak has his critics but i've always liked him. I thought he was outstanding today.

A few points:

The 'difference' was your players performing appallingly as your manager and most of your fans have said.

Our manager's name is Way not Wray. If you can't even get that right your comments are worthless.

Your fans were a disgrace. I've never seen so much vitriol form start to finish. The problem you have is your fans were venting their fury on our team rather than your own players' woeful shortcomings.

We had 11 fouls compared to your 12. Hardly biased is it?

Our huddles have really boosted team confidence. You should try it.

Right, that's quite enough. Said poster will be dealt with in due course, but we will not tolerate abusive language either. So chill out in future. Thanks.

Ok. Mark from the Admin team has dealt with said poster, been given a week off to chill out and offered some support as well. I'm opening the thread again, but I would ask that there is no more reference towards what was said by this individual as it has been appropriately dealt with. Any return to that topic or any more abusive language will see this thread closed for good.

What an obnoxious side Yeovil are, your pitch will take a battering with all those home games with the amount of lying on the floor pretending to be injured routines.
If you had carried on trying to play football you surely would have won but instead were happy to lie down to break up the rhythm of the game, and it clearly was a pen.

A lot of sides at this level seem to use time wasting/play acting tactics like Yeovil did yesterday. It’s funny because I’ve never really seen us do it.

It wouldn’t be too bad if it was a bit of slowness/time wasting for goal kicks/throws etc.. at 85 mins onwards but for players to take 45 seconds or more to take a throw in or a goal kick from the tail end of the first half then it does become very frustrating.

It also doesn’t help when 3 or 4 players start hobbling round like they’re injured but refuse to either leave the field for treatment or aren’t subbed off.

What bollocks.

How is it? Both the league game and first cup game we should of won but a keeper error gifted you a point with your only shot and again in the cup in the dying seconds. What happened yesterday was simply what you’ve done to us twice!

I was referring to the difference in outcomes from the clear elbow and the reds at yours.

Our fans booed our players at points yesterday down to the dire performance.

The booing was aimed as much as at our team, Dickson got booed throughout after his antics in the cup game (didn’t help he was blasted by our players etc in the press after that cup tie which highlighted him) and also rightly vented frustration at the time wasting and injury feigning your players did second half. Don’t see the issue with our fans reaction to that?

Not sure if it was you but one of your fans were complaining after your Crawley game about them doing the same things you did.

Teams have huddles but that was ridiculous yesterday! Caused a reaction and the referee even had to intervene to get the game going second half.

That said as dire as we were yesterday you were much better than the previous three encounters.

We seem to have lost our way a bit after the great results in December. Heres hoping that there are still a couple of players coming in.
