I think we are now in a relegation fight. Can't score at home against a team leaking goals isn't a good sign.

Didn't even look like scoring today which is how bad it was. Second half for long periods we had them on the ropes but tickled them rather than knock them out.

Better from us. Still nowhere near perfect but better.

Maddison much more effective as a winger and hopefully he'll now push on. Good to see CMS as energetic as ever, missed a sitter though.

Grant was excellent, Morais bagging two was nice as well.

Much happier.

Theres a number of worrying things to come out of today.

Firstly, weve been beaten comfortably by a peterborough side who are as poor a peterborough side as i can recall seeing for a while. Theyre normally impressive.

Their keeper touched the ball with his hands twice i think. We huffed a little second half but never forced a save.

Their team played a disastrous referee well. They knew they could get away with virtually anything and very little was done about it. The penalty decisions were a joke.

They had experienced players throughout the team who held the ball well at the right time, put the ball in the right areas and frustrated us.

Maddison is a prick, a real prick but hes clearly got ability. Grant was anonymous.

We look wet behind the ears throughout the team, like a school boys team at times. We need some old professionals who are willing to play ugly and we just don't have it.

Worrying times as weve lost 3-0 today and theres nothing in the game. God help us if we play someone good.

I like how you got a little dig at Grant in there

To be fair he was fairly anonymous, we got through their midfield as easily as they did ours we just didn't penetrate the back line at all.

He gave us one chuckle I suppose with his awful attempt at a free kick (don't recall him ever taking one 20 yards out for us!)

He did his usual fall over at a gust of wind and winge at the referee all game but we know he does that anyway.

Thought he'd be back to his best but was as poor as he has been for us in recent weeks.

Better performance from us.

I thought we edged the first half. The penalty decision looked dubious from where I was standing at the back of the away end. The second half Vale hammered us without actually having a chance and we beat them on the counter attack. Morias getting two was a bonus, his first goal taken very well.

I've slated a lot of our players and their character, especially Maddison, but today he was exceptional. I was doubtful about resigning Mackail-Smith but he put in a good shift today aswell.

Very pleased and very hungover. Good luck with the rest of the season Vale.

3-0 flattered them with the 2 late goals.
However what an abject performance against a team in shocking form.
Brown clearly is not the man for the job, after all the flack Bruno got can anyone suggest what position Hooper was playing as he clearly was not up top as a pair with Walker.
Maddison ran the show, pity with his talent he has to be such an obnoxious character, diving and generally a horrible turd.
The comments about Grant are pure sour grapes, he was not anonymous, he had a steady eddie game , maybe 6.5 / 10 , Vale pansies in midfield didn,t let him know he was in a game or niggle him at all.
Fear that by next Tuesday we will be in the bottom 4 after 2 away defeats.
Shrewsbury 11 points from 15 , Oldham 3 wins in last 5 , both have momentum, since Brown came we have got 5 points from 15 and lets face it apart from Scunny away the other games were ideal starters for Brown.
Unable to beat Oldham ( who battered us ), Bury with worst defence in the division and now Posh with previous 3 games of 0-0-3 , For 1 Against 11.
Garbage Brown.

Very frustrating, not sure why we changed shape after a couple of improving performances. Hooper is far more effective through the middle rather than being stuck out on the right of a front 3. It also made Walker highly ineffective on his own.

Peterborough weren't great, but they didn't have to be, they were very comfortable at 1-0 and we rarely threatened, I don't even remember a shot on target for us!

It was definitely a penalty for me, we were right in front of it and Guy went through the back of him. Excellent stop from Fasan though, really strong parry. But then we absolutely shot ourselves in the foot, we got all excited and tried to rush taking a free kick while we still had Foley down injured. Tanser went walkabouts somewhere, no idea where, and there was no cover on left at all. Dare I say if Grant had been in our side, or even Brown he wouldn't have carried the ball that far, someone had to take one for the team and chop him down before he could pick his spot.

Tanser is awful! Backing off constantly, just stick Madison on his arse 50 yards from goal rather than let him carry it that far! Even if he just brushed him he would of gone down and the break would of been over judging by his diving the rest of the game.

I was furious because we had shown so much promise, especially going forward in the previous two games then served that rubbish up.
