You mean like our player feigning his dislocated shoulder?

Tbh, we do have a couple who fall over very easily, but so do most teams. It isn’t that which makes me think twice about going to watch them, it’s the shite served up when they are on their feet!

You can always rely on the Vale giving you a helping hand. We put in a stinker against you nearly every year! Hence I didn’t bother today.

As suspected, we put in one of our stinkers today. Literally no creation, movement or pace. With the greatest respect to Swindon they didn't even play well, but didn't have to. They looked a very average side but we looked like a northern Premier team.

To counter that, I have to say that is some of the most shameful time wasting I have ever seen. OK, one guy had a genuine injury (but still should have been taken 10 yards to the side to be treated), but the referee added 10 minutes additional time! That's quite frankly beyond cheating. We started the first 2 minutes of the second half quite well but then a Swindon player went down with a mystery injury and took all of the momentum away. This was a recurring theme, yet the referee did nothing. We never seem to do this but frankly I would be ashamed. We just couldn't get any momentum because the game was constantly being stopped or players were letting the ball roll past them. It was shameful.

No argument with the result, once we went a goal down it was game over. I can't recall us having a serious chance, which at home is utter dog shit.

Another season of trying to avoid relegation awaits.

The guy was on gas and air for the pain - give him a break. You got 10 minutes injury time, ffs. We threw in a dreadful performance last week so, tbh, anything goes for me. The non league trapdoor was creaking open.

As I said, no qualms with the genuine injury but 10 minutes added on irrelevant of that is shameful. A new low in gamesmanship. You didn't need to do it either because we could have played until Christmas and probably not have had a shot. I suppose if you're desperate then anything goes but the game turns into a farce.

We're as bad as last season and that's saying something. Somebody just shut the doors of the club and put us out of our misery. The chairman doesn't give a shit, the players don't look like they give a shit and judging by the attendance today, the fans have given up to. We're walking headfirst into the abyss and no one is bothered anymore.

I just feel so flat to be honest with it all, Norman and Nuneaton is an added worry, but it was so so predictable. Side turns up who are leaking goals for fun and we play a ridiculous formation and selection and don’t even lay a glove. Happens every single time and as usual when we play a struggler we concede and then can’t break them down.

Lose to Yeovil and massive alarm bells will start ringing. Manny hopefully will improve things Tuesday but the fact we are so reliant on a freebie from Aldershot is a huge concern regardless of the ability he has.

What were those subs about also?

Truly horrific. Two weeks in a row that the opposing goalie has not dirtied his gloves .

Aspin is completely tactically inept and for me his honeymoon is well and truly over.
Sick to the back teeth of this clueless negative shit.
That's me done for a month now, not going until Macclesfield.
Prefer a fiver on a coupon, few brews and watch Soccer Saturday.

Swindon did time waste like fuck it was shocking at times, sorry for the lad genuinely injured but a lot was pure gamesmanship, no need for it as may aswell just attacked and got a 2nd goal.

For me Aspin has till New Year, his squad, his team, his negative shite selections.

Well done Swindon as easy a win as you will have all season

I would have sacked aspin months ago. Anybody that can survive going 3 months without a win in the league or survive a 6 2 home loss is very lucky still have s job.

Do Swindon call vales ground vale park or 3 point park the most obvious win of the weekend this was. I was amazed we were put down as favourites by the bookies.

Regardless of their antics im disappointed to hear our fans abused their lad (who was once in the Black and White) is clearly a bad injury.

Surely some learnt the lessons of the treatment dished out to Alex Nicholls when his leg was in pieces with a pool of blood on the pitch and an ambulance having to drive into the goal mouth to get him at Northampton.

We’ve lost some good players to bad injuries in terms of careers such as Goodlad and Andoh. Thankfully (in terms of career) it seems as though it’s a shoulder dislocation but painful beyond belief.

In terms of their time wasting they’ve done it before but so have many others. Stevenage, Crawley etc on a lighter note looking back at it the best was the time wasting when the ref let us take a corner because he’d had enough of it and their lad punched the ball in the area inexplicably thinking it wasn’t a valid corner! The only bit of luck we’ve ever seemingly had go our way against Swindon!

Only going by what I’ve read but it sounded like we dominated the first half but let Vale come back into the game second half and we had to dig in and grind out the points.

Wellens must have been desperate for the points and it sounded like we decided to go down the ‘dark arts’ route which is clearly frustrating but sometimes necessary.

Personally I’d like to see blatant time wasting punished more severely and consistently but it seems like teams get away with murder adopting this type of gamesmanship.

Sad to see Vale struggling in the bottom league, I wish them and their fans well. Massive win for us, beat Stevenage at home on Tuesday (which given our home form is far from a given) and we can look up rather than down!

I remember that! Last minute penalty equaliser. Classic idiotic footballer behaviour.

i went the away game with the penno, very strange incident that was.

I think this weekend game was the first time i have seen Vigoroux not attempt to dribble out of his area or try something incredibly risky. Has he stopped those antics now ?
Always looked like an accident waiting to happen.
He won't have an easier game all season to be fair.
Vale did come into the game but it was more huffing and puffing than anything decent.
The one off the line could of been cleared by my granny, just a routine header, never going in.

Another freezing boring dull game as per Mansfield which has now basically confirmed that i simply can't be arsed to spend my hard earned watching that shit.
Having a month sabbatical now until Macc away.

It isn't the results either, it is the manner of performance.
At least if we lost 2-3 in a humdinger i have come away entertained. This dirge that we play doesn't even get you out of your seat and i am bored to tears with it.

I've always been impressed with Vigoroux, seems a very decent lower league keeper.

Something has got to happen with us. I don't know whether we just simply haven't got the players to get results on a consistent basis. The amount of teams that come to Vale (even those struggling) and keep the ball far better than us is staggering. Swindon had no problems in stringing together 15-20 passes and finding their men. We struggle with 2 or 3. It was the same against Crawley, Bury, Exeter etc. all these teams are comfortable on the ball and pass and move.

Re Vigouroux he has almost cut out the suicide stuff - tbf, he does some cracking long passes out. We’ll be looking to sell in January - if there’s a market for a L2 keeper that’s been called up by Chile.

We have Luke McCormick as a replacement who a fair few of our fans think is the better keeper anyway.

The main issue with us is Aspin constantly changing formations and his obssession with playing players out of position for a start.

Second half Saturday we had four centre halves across the back four for example. Whitfield is a wide man, potentially number 10, hes up front. Hannant on the wing...

At home especially against a side struggling you surely use Gibbons who for some reason has been frozen out, he can bomb forward and get a cross in from right back, put pressure on the opposition!

Players uncomfortable or unsure on the position will always struggle to settle into games, plus its the age old problem with Tom Pope that we always go long for him, ideally we need to work the ball in possession, get it out wide and get crosses in for him but we have hardly any wide men, Wozza is frozen out, Whitfield is up front and Montano is generally injured, cant be arsed or at left back.
